The Deal

Tom blinks as he looks around, he seems to be in a dimly lit corridor. He huffs holding the stuffed deer Harry gave him closer to his chest, before he began to walk down the corridor. He silently looked around for any signs of danger, never dropping his guard as he looked with narrowed eyes.

“My, you really are my child, huh?” A voice laughed tauntingly. Tom froze, quickly looking around but seeing nothing. He growled out as the voice laughed at him. “Oh, you won’t find me unless I want you to,” the voice hummed tauntingly, “although it would be quite amusing to see you try, son.”

“Son?” Tom asked, his grip tightened on the deer plush, “just who are you, and what do you want from me?” Tom growled out.

“I want to make a deal, little one.” The voice-a man's voice- said behind him, making Tom flinch before turning around to glare at the man-no, demon, it was a demon. Tom blinked at the sight of the demon, his red eyes looking at Tom with amusement as Tom looked over him.

“What kind of deal?” Tom said with a glare. The demon chuckled in amusement, walking closer to Tom-he willed himself to stay put, he would not show fear- the demon softly padded Tom's head.

“Your ‘father’ Harry, I want you to look after him,” the demon replied, “make sure nobody harms him, nor tries to get with him. He can have friends but that’s it.” The demon smirked at him, “I’m sure you can do that, yes?”

“And why would I want to do that, and what do you want with Harry?” Tom growled out, “Harry is mine, if you touch him I’ll kill yo- GAH!” Tom gasped as he was slammed into a wall, a hand squeezing threateningly around his throat.

“Listen here boy,” the demon hissed, “I saw Harry first, I only had you so you could look after him until I could make him fully mine.” The demon glared down at the child, his lips curled into a snarl. The demon leans over into Tom's ear, “the price you get from this deal is being able to live, and staying with Harry. If you can’t abide by this then I will gladly kill you and have another child to take your place.” The demon smirked cruelly at Tom, “do I make myself clear dear son of mine?” The demon questions.

“Crystal,” Tom grunted out in pain, the demon smirked before letting him go. Tom gasped gulping up air as he glared at the demon.

“Good boy,” the demon chuckled. “It seems you are about to wake up, we will talk some other time-“

“How do I reach you if I need to speak with you?” Tom questioned.

The demon’s mouth quirked upward slightly, “just say my name before going to sleep.” The demon said with a smile.

“And what is your name?” Tom grumbled as he stood up, still rubbing his throat.

“Voldemort ….” The demon responded before everything faded to white.

In Tom's room …

Tom gasped as he awoke, hand flying to his throat. He jumped up and ran to the bathroom looking in the mirror for any marks on his throat.

“So it wasn’t a dream,” he mumbled, as he rubbed a barely noticeable bruise on his throat. Tom sighed in frustration, he shook his head before starting his morning routine.

In the kitchen …

Harry hummed happily, his wings fluttering to his good mood. As he set the last pancake on a plate Tom came in and sat on the table. Harry smiled at him as he set Tom’s plate in front of him.

“Hey baby, how was your night?” Harry said as he softly kissed Tom’s forehead, “did you sleep well?”

“It was … alright I guess,” Tom mumbles with a shrug. “I had a strange dream I think, but I can’t remember it,” Harry hums and ruffles Tom's hair, smiling as Tom tries to fix it with a scowl.

“Hmm, well it can be like that sometimes, hehe- oh!” Harry blinks a worried look coming over his face. He reaches over and gently touches the small bruise on Tom's neck. “Oh my, are you ok? Does it hurt, how did this happen?” Harry mutters worriedly, “I’ll go get something to put on it, you stay here baby.” Harry kisses his cheek before going to the medical cabinet.

Cheese balls-curse Harry’s insistence not to curse around him- he thought the bruise was small enough to not be noticeable, but of course Harry just had to have been a mother at the most inconvenient time. Tom grumbled under his breath, no, it was ok he can just lie. He can just say a kid accidentally hit him, and that he didn’t tell anyone because it wasn’t that bad, yes perfect.

Tom nodded to himself as Harry came by, after putting some cream on the bruise-and of course Harry bought his story- they were off to the daycare. Tom sighs to himself in annoyance, great, he couldn’t wait until he didn’t have to deal with these idiots anymore.
