Agent ‘Spider Woman’ Drew

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or the MCU, they belong to J.K Rowling (the only author to have earned a billion dollars from written, sadly for George Martin) and Stan Lee respectively. What I do own is the original plot you will be seeing and the original techs I'll be incorporating to spice things up for Harry. The techs are intellectual properties!!! Hint hint, wink wink...

Agent Drew rushed down from the SHIELD vehicle and entered the the four story building before her.

After an elevator ride to the fourth floor, she met herself in a hallway which she quickly walked through to enter a conference room at the end of the hallway. Agent Phil Coulson was standing beside a Communication Agent facing a screen that showed the image of the one-eyed Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

“You are certain that it's not those wand wavers?” Fury was saying.

“No, Agent Drew was certain that she saw no wand waver there,” Phil Coulson corrected. He turned back when he heard her enter. He gave her a quick nod. “I will let her explain to you, herself, the results of her investigation.”

“Agent Drew reporting, sir,” Jessica said as she moved to stand just behind Agent Coulson.

“Report,” Fury commanded, his one eye staring deep into her and having a greatly intimidating effect even if he was not physically present.

"When Coulson sent me to go and check on the Agent watching Potter when he dropped off the grid. I went there prepared for some action. When I got there I found him knocked out in the apartment he rented next to Potter's. I woke him up and he told me things from his perspective.” She paused and Fury waved her on. “Yesterday morning Potter went to receive his latest doctorate and his minder secretly followed him. It was a quick ceremony and Potter went back home, refusing all the invites from his colleagues to go out and celebrate. According to his minder Potter got back home peacefully and supposedly stayed there for hours.”

“Supposedly?” Fury asked tensely. “I thought he was supposed to have his eyes on Potter twenty four seven?”

“Sir, we have been unable to place any monitoring equipment inside Potter's condo so we can't have our eyes on him all the time. According to him he had eyes on Potter's entrance door, though, so he was surprised to see Potter entering his condo in the evening when he never saw him leave it. That was when a timed canister that was hidden in the agent's apartment when he was away following Potter to receive his degree, released a gas that began slowly putting him to sleep. He reported that he was opening the back window of his apartment to ventilate the area when he saw three bee keepers escort Potter into a van. Before he could do anything, he lost consciousness.” Jessica was becoming nervous with the way the Director of SHIELD was looking at her.

Coulson coughed and Fury finally broke his gaze. “Why didn't the Agent run out of the apartment when he first noticed the gas?” Fury demanded hotly.

“I... the... the back window was the closest to him, sir. And he said he just followed his first instinct which was to open the window,” Agent Drew stammered.

“So AIM took Potter. That's not strange. What is strange is how did Potter leave his home without his watcher noticing?” Fury asked them.

“I don't know. When I checked his condo there was no sign of struggle. Everything was in order and nothing looked out of place save the documents of his engineering degree that he left on his TV stand,” Jessica reported. She was also baffled at what happened and how it was an obvious slap to the face for SHIELD. The secret agency had been made to look incompetent.

“Luckily we can answer that,” the Communication Agent answered. Fury and Jessica looked at him. “Out of the four of us in the team sent to watch Potter, I was the only one who never gave up in looking for a way we can monitor him inside his apartment.”

“I believe you have good news for me,” Fury stated, nodding at the agent to hurry up.

“Yes, sir. When Potter left to receive his degree this morning, I snuck into his apartment. It wasn't easy. His security was tight and it wouldn't have been possible for anyone but SHIELD to break in, or AIM as we now know. In Potter's air conditioning system I placed a waterproof recording device,” the agent informed them nervously.

“You want to tell me that all we had to do since was to just place a waterproof bug in Potter's air conditioner? Why didn't any of you think of this before and why did you do this before informing me?” Fury thundered and made the nervous agent shift away from the screen.

“I... I thought that... It was just a prototype so I thought that it should be tested first before I bring it to your attention,” the Agent explained. It was obvious to all of them that he was lying. Jessica was certain that fury noticed but she wasn't sure what he was going to do about it.

“Next time, before you even begin making such a device... damn it, when you even develop the idea for such plan you come to me. Is that clear?” He waited for the Agent's acknowledgment of his order before he continued. “Now tell me what you got from the recorder.”

The Comm Agent walked to the computer next to the screen that held the live video communication with the Director and imputed something.

The speakers turned on and it was silent for a while then they heard a loud crack and Potter's voice.

“Holy shit,” Potter exclaimed. “Don't you people know how to knock?”

“Knock?” An adult male voice asked.

The person sounded shocked to Agent Drew. She, Fury, and Coulson exchange looks and continued listening to the audio.

“Well it doesn't seem like something either of you are capable of does it?” Potter fired hotly.

The male voice from earlier laughed out loud. “Oh it looks like you carried my humor and your mother's feisty attitude. That's a dangerous combination son,” the voice said.

Jessica gasped aloud. All records said that Potter lost his parents in a car accident when he was a year old.

Was this a trick from AIM, she wondered. She looked at Fury and Coulson and saw no surprise on their faces. It made her wonder if the records were right and if there was more to Potter's story than him being a child prodigy. She saw no surprise on the comm Agent's face too but chalked it up to being because he might have listened to the audio recording before.

I have no father,” Potter stated in a clear and frosty voice.

“No... No no, don't listen to whatever Petunia have been telling you, sweetheart. You still have parents. Look at us, we are alive and still breathing,” a female voice came on the recording, sounding despaired.

“I have no father,” Potter repeated, “and no mother. I don't care what you try to tell me, that is the truth I've accepted and learnt to live with.”

“Stop this son, we are your parents and you will listen to us. We have come...” the man was saying when he was interrupted by a scoff.

“I understand that you birthed me but that don't make you my parents. I know you both: you are Lily Evans Potter and James Charlus Potter, the charjs mistress extraordinary and Lord of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter respectively,” the young Doctor proclaimed.

Jessica looked just in time to see Phil Cousin's eyes widen before he schooled his face.

“I have an eidetic memory and a photographic memory,” Potter continued. “At least you will know what that is, Lily Evans, you're a Muggleborn after all , aren't you.”

“What!” The man, James Potter, exclaimed. “So Petunia told you after all.”

“No she didn't,” his wife assured. “I searched her mind remember. And even if we assume she did, she never knew you were a lord, James. Our baby boy really have an eidetic memory. He can recall every moment of his life since he was born with perfect clarity.”

“You went through somebody's mind, huh? Should have expected it from you. If you have the mind to work with the Unspeakables why won't you be able to go through someone's mind without their permission,” Potter said, derisively.

“How do you... No one is supposed this know about that,” Lily Potter said.

Jessica could hear the schock in her voice.

“What is he talking about, Lil's?” James Potter inquired, dumbly.

Jessica almost gagged at such horrible nickname.

“You have nothing to worry about, Lord Potter, before you get home you won't remember anything about your wife being an Unspeakable,” Potter said.

There was a pause in their conversation then a loud thud was headed from the recording.

Potter tsked. “So you stunned him.”

“Obliviate,” they heard the woman's voice intone.

“Ah, and now you are removing the memory from his head. Don't even think to try it with me,” Potter warned with steel in his voice.

“Obliviate,” they heard again. Then they heard Lily Potter's screams. It soon stopped. “What was that?” She sounded curious, intrigued, and fearful at the same time.

“You are a fool, mo... woman. You call your yourself an Unspeakable yet you have never researched about the mind arts. Guess I will have to lecture you,” Potter said, as he started using a tone Jessica and others in the room recognized as Potter's teaching voice from his tracking videos online. “Under the right circumstances, a normal person could learn and perfect the mind arts called Occlumency. It won't be as stable as your people's own practice of the art and it will need to be maintained twice everyday, meditation twice daily, but it can be done with enough will power and practice. I have an eidetic memory and a photographic memory. I believe you remember me mentioning this earlier. This make my mind more chaotic that a normal person's but it also helped me by providing the boots I needed to perfect Occlumency. Normally with a stronger will you could Obliviate an Occlumens. It may take from an hour to a day but it's doable m you could try that with me now and it won't work for you. Do you know why? It is because when you try to Obliviate someone you unknowingly send a sliver of you lr consciousness along to the victim's mind. I have a micro device implanted in me that monitors my brain waves. It scans my brain signals and my vitals every time. If you try to Obliviate me it will electricity your consciousness. If you're try the imperio if will be the same result, after all, you need to be in my mind to be able to leave suggestions and commands, right? If you even try to stink me it won't work. Injure me and other nano implants in me will mend back in seconds even from something as bad as a beheading.”

There was silence. Even inside the conference room in the SHIELD facility they all looked at eachother, silent and amazed.

“How did you go about creating such things?” Potter's mom finally asked, breaking the silence. From her voice you'd notice that she was still shocked.

“I have so many degrees in so many subjects so I had the knowledge. As for the funds needed to undertake such project, I believe I'm a multi-millionaire from all the patents I've sold so far. As for the idea and the possibility of such tech, let's say I had knowledge of the capabilities of magic to push me. It gave me one hell of a drive,” Potter said with a bitter laughter.

“Do you know that magic cancel out technology,” his mother says in a matter of fact tone.

“Do you think that I'll put something that could short circuit or blow up inside my body?” Potter asked. “I know what magic really is and all my inventions are shielded against it.”

“No one knows what magic is,” Lily Evans scoffed.

“Jog up your memory. From my memories as a babe you were never this idiotic. Don't your employers know about the information the ICW is keeping from all of your kind? Information about Doctor Doom and the Sorcerer Supreme?” Harry Potter inquired. His curiosity could be picked up on in his tone.

“You shouldn't know about these things,” his mother said, sound tired and weak.

“And you shouldn't have the memory of my apartment to apparate into my sitting room. It is obvious that we both know things we shouldn't. In your case you might have mind raped some of my colleagues in Oxford, what a shame,” Potter spat angrily. “And to think you must you must have done the same to Petunia just to even know that I have colleagues in Oxford. I hope you loved what you saw in your dear sisters head. Perhaps your schadenfreude self showed when you saw what I suffered in the hands of the Dursleys. You are silent, you have nothing to say? I will take a deep breath and when I'm done I want you to get out of my house.”

“Something must have been done to you by your father's enemies. Perhaps Sirius Black and his I'll,” Potter's mom stated with surety.

“As if any Death Eater is aware of my existence,” Potter fired back.

“That is obviously a lie. This is the work of a Death Eater. You know too much. They've corrupted you. They did a sloppy work. They don't know the Muggle world like I do. I know that Muggle technology haven't gotten to the stage of what you explained. But till I know what type of spell they cast on you to be able to resist my magic, I will keep my wand away from you and won't cast another on you for now.”

Potter sighed and the recording picked it up. It was a deep sigh. “You are delusional. I'm beginning to think it is you that's under a spell. Your Intelligence have greatly reduced. Your kind, from the scans I've taken from those that stray outside of the Leaky Couldron, utilizes twenty five percent of their brain. I have a theory that the magic you all do day to day leave a strain on your consciousness which reduces your mental capabilities. I also have a theory that it's different for Sorcerers because they were not born with the magic they use so it has no strain on their biology. They manipulate an outside force unlike your kind that manipulate an energy within them that has an effect on their mind, body, and soul. I'm not sure yet if it's true but if it is, it explains why Sorcerers can do magic without a wand and why most of your kind fall into madness and what you all call the dark arts. It could also explain why most mutants grow up to be mad and aggressive.”

It became known to those listening to the recording that Potter's mom didn't pay mind to what he was saying when Potter asked, “were you even listening and why are you waking him up?”

“James,” Lily Potter said to the now awake Lord of House Potter. “Take Harry back to Petunia's. I need to head back to the ministry. It seems the Death Eaters got to him before us.”

“What... Why was I out?” James Potter's wondering voice reached them.

“No time to explain, I'm leaving.”

“Wait, Lils! Is he a Squib?”

“Squibs remain squibs, James, you should know that. There is no way to gain magic. Harry lost his when he vanquished Voldemort and it's not coming back. Don't worry we will put our boy back together, I promise,” Lily Potter proclaimed, sounding agitated.

They heard a crack. Exactly the same crack they heard at the beginning of the video. Jessica wondered if could be an effect of their teleportation, what Potter had called apparating.

“Are you all this mad?” They heard Potter ask his father. “One more reason for me to want nothing to do with you and your kind.”

“If I didn't have a reason to believe Lils before I have one now,” James Potter confirmed. “No squib want nothing to do with the magical world. It's their dream to regain magic one day and return home.”

They heard Potter's mocking laughter. Then he stopped laughing immediately.

“What are you doing? Step away from me!”

Another crack and then silence. It was like the recording ended abruptly but when Jessica looked at the computer she saw that it was still playing.

The Comm Agent noticed that they were all looking at the compute, save Fury who was not in a position to see it. “The next part is hours ahead. It's the AIM part,” the agent explained.

“I don't need to tell you all that what you just heard is highly classified and you will spend the rest of your life locked up if this gets out,” Fury said after a deep sigh.

Phil Coulson rubbed his hand against his forehead. “We didn't know about this Unspeakables though, or this Sorcerer Supreme,” he pointed out.

“But we can make a guess to what and who they are,” Fury clarified. Agent Coulson raised an eyebrow at the Director. Fury shrugged and explained, “this Unspeakables are likely to be a secret organisation of their government. And with how Potter mocked his mother for knowing nothing about Obliviation, they might be a research organisation. They could even be more that that. Research, development, investigation, espionage, spy, crime and everything rolled up into one fucked up mess.”

There was a pause as they all listened to the paranoid theories of the SHIELD Director. Jessica actually thought that he could be right. Fury's instinct had been one of the things that kept SHIELD going. But by his own explanation SHIELD was also a fucked up mess. She clamped her mouth shut and refrained from pointing this out.

“If that's true then we have a serious competition, or maybe not, if Potter's theory of how their powers affect their mind is correct,” Phil announced.

Fury blinked and Agent Coulson. “That could even make them a more dangerous competition. I don't need to help you think of what mad adversaries could be capable of do I?” Coulson shook his head tiredly. “As for this Sorcerer Supreme, Potter said that Sorcerers are not born with their powers, so I will hazard a guess that this person is the leader of the other magical faction, the normal ones who learn to use magic. We have had sightings of some of them in US and Asia. Then there is Doctor Doom and that other Doctor in the UK. This Sorcerer Supreme might be the others faction’s version of the Wizarding world’s ICW’s Supreme Mugwump.”

Jessica wondered what the ICW was but refrained from asking. She asked something else instead. “Is there any chance that AIM might be connected to either of these factions?”

Fury and Coulson looked at her. Coulson shrugged and looked at Fury. “We don't know. It might be that they are. Strucker founded AIM and everyone knows that HYDRA was almost knee deep in all things occult,” Fury told them frowning again as he leaned back in his chair.

“Do you think that it could indeed be possible?” Coulson asked surprised. “There were rumours...” He paused and looked from Jessica to the comm Agent then back to Director Fury. Fury beckoned him to go on. And Jessica was glad for it. She was curious about what he wanted to say. “There were rumours that Grindelwald and Hitler were buddies.”

Fury snorted. “It was not a rumour. Grindelwald was the one that made Maginot Line fall. He was the one that held the Russians from joining the Alliance to stop the war from the beginning.” Fury looked at Coulson with meaning in his eyes. “And he was the one who gave the cube to Der Rote Schadel.”

Coulson raised both eyebrows and Jessica gasped. She didn't know what the cube was but she definitely knew who the Rote Schadel was.

“Potter knows more that we expected him to,” Coulson admitted sadly.

Fury barked out a short laugh. “I always tell you not to assume anything. Assumptions killed the cat.” Jessica could have have sworn that it was curiosity that killed old nosy kitty. “At the very least what Potter knows don't matter. He gave us a lot of information without knowing, and I'm glad for it. We also now know the secret to Potter's strange intelligence and now have confirmation that he is not Tesla’s reincarnation like the media has been saying. All that aside, I believe something is staring in the Wizarding world. You heard how nervous Lily Potter sounded about Death Eaters getting to her son and you heard her mention Black.”

“Sirius Black,” Jessica questioned. “The man the UK government announced excaped from a tightly secured prison and warned everyone to report sightings of and stay clear off cause he's armed?”

“Same one,” Coulson answered. “He’s a magical terrorist who was the right hand man of their last dark lord.” Jessica looked at her superior, bewildered. “We have ours, they have theirs. We have Napoleon and Hitler, they have Grindelwald and Voldemort.”

Jessica shivered at the idea of magical terrorist. Fury went on. “Grindelwald was the one who caused the time change in New York in the 50’s. According to their government he caused an obscurial to break loose in the middle of New York and MACUSA, Magical Congress of the United States, had to send their people to rewind time and wipe the memories of everyone in New York. Apparently they did a sloppy job and it left its mark.”

Jessica was startled. She couldn't believe it. A race of the human species existed that could rewind time and erase the memories of over fifty million people.

“As for Voldemort, well, he was the one who erased that village in Wales in the 70's.”

“If Black is out could he be as dangerous as either of these dark lords, sir?” Jessica asked Fury worriedly.

“Black is dangerous no doubt. He blew up an entire street and killed more than thirteen people with just one spell. Their minister tried to assure us that Black is a toothless dog without a master. Yet I find that hard to believe. Whether or not Black will become a magical terrorist, I don't know. I'm not even sure if that Voldemort chap is truly gone. The magicals didn't find a body when a year old Potter allegedly offed him. If there is anything I've learned from all my years in this game, is that assume a person is still alive till you see the body and confirm its the person after doing a blood test,” Fury explained to her and Coulson.

“At least the Grindelwald guy is gone right?” Jessica asked.

Fury snorted. “The ICW, the magicals own UN, refuse to tell us where he is. He is in one of their prisons in Europe. A place I don't trust even if I don't know its location and defences. Some Agents that we managed to get into their government at one time informed us that they are keeping him in a place that was his headquarters during the war.”

Jessica had to wonder how someone could imprison someone in his own lair. It could be possible, she admitted to herself, it depended on the lair and the person.

“If things get busy in the magical world we will need Potter. He is the only one we know able to shield techs from shutting down due to magic,” Coulson said to all of them.

“Doom also,” Fury reminded them, “but we know how futile it will be to convince someone like Doom to work with us. So we need to get Potter back quickly. He is also our key to the Wizarding world. When you searched Potter's house did you find any secret lab or important tech there, Agent Drew?”

Jessica shook her head in denial. “I found only the normal home techs and appliances. Was I supposed to find something else there, sir,” She enquired.

“Potter has created some dangerous and amazing things. Some are known to the public some are not. He gaving hints about a few of the secret ones in his papers. When it comes to Potter SHIELD know just a little more than the public. Where is his private lab? Where is he keeping all this things he have created? It would have been stupid of him to keep them in his condo but I asked you just to be sure. Anyway, Agent, fast forward the recording to the part with AIM, I won't sit down hear listening to hours of air condition noise. When you are through with that send that recording to my computer in the Hellicarrier and you better make sure that it's unedited.”

The Comm Agent did as he was commanded and they listened as the AIM agents broke into Potter's apartment. It was hard for them but they did. They heard Potter come home and heard the conversation he had with the Agents before he willingly left with them.

“Agent,” Fury addressed the Comm Agent. “I want you to always monitor this your recording device and I want you to leave now and go and add another one which will be giving us live visuals. I want to know who enters and leaves Potter's condo. Since he's not there he won't be able to remove our bugs so get to it.”

The agent nodded to Fury and left the conference hall. Fury asked Coulson to lower the volume of the video call. When Coulson did, he and Jessica had to go closer to the screen to hear what Fury had to say.

“Phil, I need you to focus on finding Potter. Be quick about it and cooperate with the Brits if you need to but you must warn them that on no instance are the magicals supposed to be brought in or involved,” Fury ordered, earning a nodded from Agent Coulson. “Agent Drew, I need you to monitor and follow that Comm Agent that bugged Potter's house without my say so. I've been seeing some signs I don't like in him.”

“If you don't trust him then why did you let him hear that much classified info, sir?” Jessica asked, shocked.

“It's a test. I want to see what he will do with it. Anyway, there was nothing that was said that isn't already known to HYDRA.”

“HYDRA?” Jessica wondered if today was the day too much mind numbing information will shatter the spider.

A/N

I haven't ever read marvel comics but I've watched the movies, almost all of them. This is just a warning since I'm augmenting my knowledge from the movies with the knowledge I getting of the comics from fandom and wiki. Some things might be inaccurate and some might be from comics you haven't read yet, just go with, this is an AU after all.

Now unto a bit of briefing for this chapter. Lily and James are not themselves. It's not the cliche, Dumbledore or Snape did something to them that make them forget about Harry. It's something else that will be explained in latter chapters. This does not mean that Harry's theory about the psyche of supernaturals is incorrect. It will be proven in time.

We will get to see more of Agent Drew, and no there is nothing romantic be planned for her and Harry if you were wondering.

Lastly, AIM will get their due, and trust me it's going to be quite the sumptuous just dessert. The flavour is gonna be explosive!
