' Merlin condemn that boy. Curse him with unforgivables, lock him in Azkaban. Destroy his very soul for what he’s done. But…don’t, because if you do…I won’t rest until I destroy your very existence. '

These were the thoughts of a very conscious, panicking, sweating Severus Snape. A wizard who stood hunched over, bony back resting against the cool stone walls of his office. His silky, oily hair was pinned against his face, falling to shield his face from another's view.

Something wrong was happening to him, it was a sudden act, these thoughts and feelings coming into his brain at rapid paces. He couldn’t explain it. The boy was a sixth-year for crying out loud!

At the same moment he reminded himself of this, the door of his room slammed open. On the other end was Minerva, with her determined expression which slowly turned to shock at the sight of her colleague.

“Severus…”

“Minerva, something,” Grunting from mental pain, tears swelling in his eyes that he couldn’t control. He wasn’t quite sure if these memories were real, it was impossible. His mind was swelling with new memories, and relationships, and feelings he hadn’t once had before. “Something’s wrong.”

“Yes, indeed something is.” Behind the elderly woman were the infamous Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Granger wore her commonly worried face, and Ron’s ready-to-go furrowed brows were his answer to what could be happening. Harry Potter.

“It’s Harry!” Granger called over as if Severus was deaf.

“He fought with us,” Ron had gritted his teeth, “It was bad, messy even, but Harry…He got ahold of a time-turner.” His tough exterior was crumbling, slowly but surely, and that’s when Snape could see the bruising cut under Ron’s jaw. It was new and recent. The candlelight flamed up the boy’s pale, freckled skin. Illuminating all three of their pained expressions, neither of the teens were able to look near the Professors. Both were ashamed of how they had acted, undoubtedly asking themselves what they could’ve done. What they should’ve done.

“It appears Mister Potter has run off through time.” Minerva with her usual cold and calculating look stood tall, though the hint of raw fear flashed in her eyes. “And we have no idea how to get him back.”
