That’s my number, hit my line
Summary
After Le sserafims Coachella performance there’s a tension heavy in the air, unspoken but everyone’s aware. Ever since the members Chaewon and Yunjin started dating their small arguments turned into group issues and tonight was no exception.

Music and shouting continued to blare in their ears as the five girls walked out from behind the stage, still breathing heavily from just putting on an almost one hour performance.

They had been invited to Coachella and put on an amazing performance getting everyone to sing along. Despite all these amazing achievements they were dead silent with the only talking coming from staff ushering them out the venue.

They made it out after a while of struggling to navigate and waited for the same car that had brought them to the venue earlier this morning to arrive. Still no one spoke, only exchanging small glances and drained smiles.

By now everyone had stripped out of their performance outfits and were now in casual wear with added accessories to hide their identity.

Eunchae wiped her forehead that was glazed with sweat while Sakura rubbed her back and smiled. To the right of them Kazuha was invested in something on her phone and the usual pair Yunjin and Chaewon wouldn't even look in each other's direction.

Sakura shared a slightly concerned look with the younger one whom she was still rubbing the back of, biting her tongue as she saw the black van pull up.

It was a newer model of car with tinted windows for privacy and a middle aged man in the driver's seat. The man had dark hair and a suit on, the rest of his features hidden by the heavy tint and glare.

The staff helped the girls get into the car, only two getting into the same car while the rest stayed behind waiting for their rides.

“You guys did great. So far everyone seems to be happy.” The staff member, Dayoung said as she turned her head back to face them with a proud smile that still cracked at parts showing how truly tired she was.

“Thank you.” Sakura said, being the only one to respond for the whole group despite not being the leader, just the only one showing respect at the moment. She always put work morals above everything else and it was admirable.

Sakura did turn to the actual leader however, giving her a disappointed look. “Get your act together Chaewon. I don't know what's going on but save it for after work hours.” She whispered into the slightly younger girl's ear, only getting a stiff nod in response.

She turned to the rest of the members, giving them all her well known stern look. Letting everyone know how equally upset at all of them she was right now, even Eunchae.

They all understood quickly and turned their heads down too ashamed to seemingly look up at her. It made the eldest feel a tinge of guilt but she pushed it past her as they pulled up to the hotel they had been staying at.

“Thank you.” they all said, bowing their heads slightly before quickly making their way out the car and into the upscale building.

They all got in the small elevator, only now truly feeling how tense they all were. Kazuha let out a small cough as the elevator reached the floor they were staying on. The doors opened and everyone went their separate ways.

The uneven number of girls made it so splitting them up meant one person would always be alone and this time Kazuha chose to be by herself. This left Sakura and Eunchae heading to a room one side of the hall and Yunjin and Chaewon heading the other way, the same way Kazuha was headed.

The tension was still high and despite the rest of the girls starting to talk Yunjin and Chaewon still stayed silent. Something was up and everyone realized that.

After they announced they were gonna try dating, it made every small argument a group issue. It was annoying at times but no one minded much if it didn't affect their performance.

Chaewon had gotten to the door first, opening it and slipping inside before Yunjin could even reach her hand on the nob. The door shut with a slam and the sounds of Yunjin following right behind it.

The tall orange haired girl mumbled some words under her breath as she unlocked the door and stepped inside, falling into the bed almost immediately.

She closed her eyes and listened to the shower run as her thoughts captivated her. She let out a sigh a sat up slightly, taking out her phone to check the time.

It was already eleven and she was more than exhausted but she had to find a way to make up with Chaewon before tomorrow.

She thought back on what happened, wincing at the remembrance of how she acted.

“What was that all about?” Yunjin had questioned with an attitude heavy in her voice, shooting Chaewon a glare as she waited for a response.

“What was what about?” Chaewon asked, trying to suppress the anger Yunjins tone had just given her.

“You were all over him.” Yunjin had started before pausing to collect her thoughts. “It was nothing like how you practiced it.” She finally said with a heavy sigh.

Chaewon furrowed her brows and thought back on the performance. It was with a male backup dancer and was meant to seem intimate with as handys as the dance was. Naturally as a performer Chaewon was she had escalated it a bit more than rehearsal but what did Yunjin expect?

The short blonde sighed and looked up to meet the other girls gaze. “It was just a dance Yunjin, I would have much rather done it with you.” She said in a soft tone as she reached out for her hand, only to be meet with Yunjin backing up.

“You wouldn’t feel that way if it was me and Kazuha.” She said coldly making Chaewon’s expression falter. Her stomach dropped and tears began to well in the back of her eyes, quickly being blinked away as anger replaced sadness.

Yunjin quickly realized her mistake as she opened her mouth to apologize “im sorry I didn’t mean-“ Chaewon cut her off. “Save it Yunjin.” She said expressionless before walking away.

Yunjin regretted her words now more than ever. Her head continued to spiral the only thing bringing her back being the sound of the shower stopping.

She quickly perked up and tried to make it seem like she was doing more than thinking about the other girl as regret filled her.

The blonde stepped out the bathroom with towel wrapped loosely around her body and her short hair soaked and dripping down her shoulders.

Yunjins face immediately flushed after catching a glimpse of the other girl. Despite being together for close to a year she still got shy whenever she saw Chaewon in such a manner.

She heard a soft laugh behind her, a damp hand glazing hers. “I’m still mad at you but I do have to admit you’re cute when you’re flustered.” Chaewon said teasingly in the younger one’s ear.

Yunjin flushed an even deeper shade as a small smile found its way onto her lips. She cleared her throat and got up trying to avoid looking at the other girl. “Uh im gonna go shower.. yeah.” She stammered out.

Another quiet laugh met her ears as she dashed to the bathroom. All her previous thoughts had been replaced by replaying Chaewons honey sweet voice over and over.

The burning hot water rushed down onto her body as she stood lost in thought, grabbing at the soap as her body went into autopilot.

Thoughts continued to fill her head as she hummed out tunes to a song. She turned the knob, bringing the water to a halt.

She stepped out, the cold air rushing onto her skin. All of the lingering warmth of water droplets that desperately hung to her skin being whipped away as Yunjin wrapped a towel snugly onto her body.

She sighed deeply and stepped out the bathroom. Her gaze immediately shifting to Chaewon who was sprawled out on the king sized bed that was placed in the center of the room. Her throat tightened at the thought of her looking up and seeing her in such a vulnerable state but her thoughts were quickly pushed away as she saw the girls headphones in and her eyes scanning the screen, seemingly lost in her own world.

Yunjin quickly got dressed, throwing on a loose t-shirt and sweatpants. She was mentally exhausted and didn’t have the energy to do much with her hair or skincare for tonight.

She sighed, running her hands through her hair before walking over to the bed and getting in beside Chaewon. She reached out and carefully took one of her earbuds out to get her attention.

“We need to talk.” Yunjin said firmly, playing with her hands anxiously.

Chaewon nodded in response as she took out her other earbud and closed her phone, putting it screen down on the bed.

Yunjin cleared her throat before speaking, “I’m sorry for the way i acted and what I said earlier. I was jealous and wanted to use an example i knew you’d understand-“ Yunjin said in a rush, composing herself before speaking again. “I didn’t think it would upset you like it did. I’ve thought about it over, and over since then and now I understand why.. I’m sorry.” Yunjin said with a heavy sigh, her tone defeated.

She didn’t meet Chaewons gaze after saying what she had to say, simply too embarrassed to look the girl in the eyes. Hundreds of scenarios playing in her head as she waited for a reply.

After what felt like forever to Yunjin, Chaewon opened her mouth to speak, “I’m sorry too, I get I may have pushed it a little too far with the performance. I put work before you, and I promised I wouldn’t do that.” She said in response as she grabbed Yunjins hands, placing them in her own.

“You know I love you right?” Chaewon asked, more of a statement than a question, gaining a nod from the other girl. Chaewon looked her over, trying to study her hidden expression before grabbing her by the chin lightly, forcing Yunjin to look at her.

“I was only upset because-“ She bit her lip. “Because you and Kazuha are so close and sometimes I think you two would be better together.. especially since she had that crush on you.” Chaewon continued, speaking as if she was unsure of her own words, questioning herself.

“Sorry I don’t know.. maybe I’m just being irrational-“

Yunjin cut her off mid sentence.

“No. I would feel the same, i understand what you mean and I won’t say it again.” Yunjin said with a reassuring tone as she slowly reached out to rub her girlfriend’s thigh soothingly.

Yunjin spoke up again, “all yours, always. Okay?”

She said with wide eyes and a small smile that only grew as she received a smile back from Chaewon.

Chaewon watched as Yunjins usual golden retriever like personality came back in an instant, the girl quickly wrapping her up into her arms and snuggling her down to the as an eruption of lighthearted giggles filled the small room.

“I love you.” Yunjin whispered into her hair.

“I love you more.” Chaewon replied in a matching whisper, her breath tickling the skin of Yunjins neck.

One last small giggle could be heard from the younger girl before they both slowly drifted off to the sound of never ending traffic and the peaceful breathing of one another.
