A beautiful tuesday on Liyue. Day's been boring, so taking breaks was something that happened regularly. Keqing tried to pay a visit to Ganyu every time she could. And this was the exact thing that made the day suddenly change drastically for her. That time, Ganyu wasn't alone on her office. Ningguang was also there. They were close to each other, maybe too close for her. Laughing and talking about something she couldn't hear, the distance between the two girls suddenly dissapeared. It couldn't be seen, but the first though of hers was obvious. "They kissed", "I almost almost caught them kissing". Thinking she could be replaceable, she ran away, and the footsteps noise could be heard by the two inside the room. They didn't try to follow the sound. A couple hours after that, it was lunch break. Ganyu tried reaching for Keqing, but she couldn't be seen behind her desk as always, waiting for her. Trying to look for her, she already was eating. Her attitude was unusual, so she approached her.
- Is everything okay?
- Yes, everything's fine, Ganyu. I'm just... Enjoying my meal. - A dry response, without even looking at her.
- But, we always eat together. That's our thing... Did I take too long on my work? I'm, I'm sorry Keqing.
Almost sobbing, Ganyu, tries to get closer to her, but Keqing gets up, and cleans her tray. Not even a word, before she goes back to her designated place. Ganyu, eating alone now, thinks about what could have she done to upset her. Nothing really comes to mind, until the thought of those steps before. Was it her? It seems the lunch break was ending short, as she had a new priority now. Her door was closed, so she knocked, while asking to come in. A quick "No" could be heard, but she didn't listen to it, and opened the door, closing it back behind her. She looked sad, clearly showed signs of recent crying. running to hug her, Keqing breaks down. Tears running down her eyes, while she holds her clothes tightly.
- Now... Tell me what's wrong? What did you see exactly?
- You're going to deny it, what's the point of saying anything? You seem to already made a choice.
- What choice? I'll always choose you over anyone. Ningguang was... Showing me something. I can't talk about it unless she tells you first.
- Why should I believe you? - Keqing goes back, while pushing Ganyu away. - I saw enough.
Ganyu sighs, before reaching for a kiss. The gesture took Keqing for a surprise, who started crying louder. Trying to comfort her, she rubs her cheek, cleaning her face full of tears. Another kiss, while Keqing is trying actively to get away from her, with no success.
- Do you think that tastes like Ningguang? Well, we probably don't know how she tastes... That was a weird question actually.
A tearful smile is now the expression of the girl, who reaches back for a third kiss. The situation gets calmer, and Ganyu takes a seat besides her. Waiting for Keqing to fully calm down, she holds her hand, while still smiling.
- Okay... Now you need to tell me. What do you think happened?
- I just saw you two... And she got so close to you... I thought you were leaving me for her. I'm sorry.
- But... Keqing... First of all, we're not dating... Well not yet. You know that. We'll get to that later. But I promise that of all the people in Liyue, you should be the least worried about lady Ningguang.
Keqing glances back at Ganyu, with a strange look. She tries to think again about why is she saying that. Her saying she shouldn't be worried about Nigguang only could mean Ningguang is already dating another person, or that she's straight as a stick, which doesn't seem the case, seeing how she talks with Beidou. Beidou hits hard in her head at that thought.
- Wait... Is Ningguang dating Beidou? - Ganyu nods. - Well, that explains a lot of things. But then... What happened with her?
- She was actually showing me pictures of a recent trip she had with her. By the way... I'll tell her you know. Is there anything else you need reasurance with, my love?
- About dating... -Keqing whispers, words that get interrupted by Ganyu.
- Do you really want to start dating now? Let's have dinner first, and we'll talk about it, seems fair?
Keqing agrees. The rest of the day came back to the usual normality. Keqing went back to taking breaks to see her lover. One of them featured an angry Ningguang, who they had to explain the situation and how Keqing came to that conclusion.
