It’s a regular Friday afternoon. Sirius had Harry, because James had Quitch practiced, Regulus was at work, Lily had class at the magical potions lad, and Mary was at work at the local muggle bank as a secretary.
Sirius took Harry to a local coffee shop, it was Sirius’ favorite. The little bell jingled as they walked in. Killer Queen by Queen was playing. It’s one of Sirius’ favorites. One of the owners, the one that picks the music on the shop, had VERY good music taste. Sirius needs to tell him sometime.
4 year old Harry, with his newly bought red circular glasses, ran over to the display window to look at all the fresh pastries. Sirius always gets Harry one, it’s a daily thing, same as Sirius’ coffee order. Sirius got in line making sure to keep an eye on Harry.
“Hey beautiful, my usual please” Sirius said to the barista/one of the owners. He rolled his eyes, putting in the order. “Sirius squatted down next to Harry. “Oi, Bambi, what you want today?” He said to a wide eyed Harry. Harry thought for a minute before pointing at a jumbo chocolate chip cookie. Sirius nodded and stood back up facing the barista. “And a jumbo chocolate chip cookie for the kid” Sirius said, the the barista put it in quickly. “Is that all?” He asked after putting the last of the order in. “For now” Sirius said winking at him and pulling a muggle 20 on the counter.
Sirius was waiting only a few minutes before the barista gives him his coffee and the cookie for Harry. Sirius made sure to brush at least on of his rings against one of the baristas’ fingers. He started to blush, it wasn’t very noticeable, it never was but Sirius knew when he was. “You need to stop flirting with me while I’m at work” Sirius dramatically pouted at him, but quickly stopped and smiled at him. “You own the god damn shop for fucks sake Moony!” Sirius said trying to make a point to his boyfriend. Remus rolled his eyes. “Well I need to get back to work, go talk to you brother or something” Remus said before walking back to the counter.
Sirius groaned at this, he wants to talk to his boyfriend, Remus, his amazing werewolf, boyfriend, Remus, his brave and loyal Gryffindor boyfriend, Remus. Why would Sirius want to talk to Regulus?! Why?! He loves his baby bother but they don’t really have much in common. They don’t like the same music, the same Quitch team- well for now-, the same books, or anything! They only think they had in common was, they both loved Harry, and were disowned by the Black family, and well they were both gay, but that one doesn’t really count. Does it? Sirius has no idea.
Being the amazing boyfriend he is he obeyed Remus. He grabs Harry’s hand and walked to the other side of the store-the book shop part of the store- where his little brother Regulus worked the counter. No one was buying anything at the moment so Regulus was reading some muggle book. As soon as Harry saw Regulus he let go of his hand and ran to Regulus, as he yelled “Care Bear!” kind of loud, but not loud enough for many heads to turn.
Regulus picked Harry up in a hug as the 5 year old ran to him. Sirius walked the rest of the way to his little brother. “Regulus” Sirius said as a greeting. “Sirius, comment allez-vous“ Regulus said, French, of course Regulus spoke to him in French. “bien, toi?” Sirius said back, his French isn’t the best, but he is fluent. Even though he doesn’t like to admit it, French was Sirius’ first language.
“Juste la normale” Regulus looked back at his book as he said it. “What are you reading, Care Bear?!” Harry asked looking at Regulus’ book. “Ummm….it’s a book, about a…” it looked like Regulus was struggling to the right thing. Why would- oh. Sirius knows why. Remus does the same thing when he’s reading a not-kid-appropriate book. Remus calls it PG-ing the book. Which Lily would be very grateful for. “It’s about a boy, who….takes things, and another boy who is a prince, and they go on….adventures” Regulus explained slowly trying to think as he explained. Sirius does not want to know what was actually going on in that book.
Harry looked pleased by the answer and let Regulus put him down. Harry then ran over to the children’s section of the book shop. “Me and Remus are having a little get together tonight, I’m not sure if Prongs already told you, but yeah” Sirius said, trying to make conversation. In English this time. “He did, we’re going to the shops to get some sh-stuff” Regulus stopped himself because he remembered there were kids around. Not really counting Harry. Harry has head a LOT of cuss words. He was raised by Sirius, Remus, James, and Regulus. And Lily and Mary too, but they didn’t really cuss. “to get some stuff from the shops to begin over” he continued. Sirius gave him a small smile.
“Harry, we’re going go, okay?” Sirius said calling to the 5 year old who was still at the children’s section. He pouted slightly before walking back over to Sirius. “Go give Care Bear a hug bye, we’ll see him tonight” Sirius gestured to Regulus. Regulus squatted down to give Harry and hug. Harry did indeed run to Regulus and hug him bye. “See ya later bud” Regulus whispered to Harry squeezing him tightly in a hug.
The both of them, Sirius and Harry, walked back over to the coffee shop area to say bye to Remus, before they went back to the flat. Sirius tapped on the counter to get Remus’ attention. It did get his attention, Remus, he turned around and told one of the other barista’s to cover for him. Remus throw his towel over his shoulder, which Sirius loved when he did. For some reason. “You two leavin’?” Remus asked. Sirius nodded as Harry pulled his head on the counter. “Bye bye Uncle Moony!” Harry said with his chin on the counter looking up at the light brown haired 25 year old. Remus smiled at Harry. “See ya later tonight Harry” he said then looked back at Sirius, who quickly pecked him on the lips wish a kiss before grabbing Harry’s and and leaving with another jingle of the bell.
