And all the kids cried out, "Please stop, you're scaring me"
Hermione has been in the library all day again. She's been searching for spells. She has found tons of them, tons that will be helpful. She knows this is bad for her health, but she doesn't want to lose the war again. Harry has been trying his hardest to end Voldemort. Especially after Sirius was killed by Bellatrix.
She's also been searching for all the different types of potions. She needs to win this war. Her parents would ban her from magic if they knew what was happening in this world. She can't let them ban her from her true life.
As she makes her way to the Gryffindor common room, she hears an argument. This is normal now. Everyone is arguing. No one is in a peaceful mindset, minus Luna. She's always so peaceful. Turning the corner she sees who's arguing. Malfoy and Harry. She's not surprised. She leans against the wall, watching them.
She can't hear exactly what they're saying, but she knows it involves their sudden closeness. Recently Harry has gotten close to Malfoy, and their friends think it's because Harry is trying to save Harry. He isn't Harry if he isn't saving someone. Malfoy is looking everywhere but Harry, while he's looking straight at Malfoy. It's weird to watch.
She sees something in Harry's eyes that tells her this is more than the reasoning of saving him. It's a softness, one that she sees in couples. See feels pain through her, because Malfoy chose his side of the war. If it was by force or willingly, she doesn't know. Whatever choice he made, he isn't happy.
She sighs, feeling sorry for the boys. Out of everyone, she knows Harry will come to her about this. She decides to take the long way to the dorms. Turning around, she leaves the boys to their tragic love story.
..
Remus has been in the library all day, for the past few weeks. He's been trying to find every potion and spell in the magical world. He wants to defeat Voldemort. They need to defeat him. He shall be defeated. It's bad for his health to be this obsessed, but it's for the greater good.
Sirius has been on a rampage with this war. It's torn his family apart. His uncle was killed. Regulus was forced into the dark side. His cousin was finally married off to a death eater. His other cousin is a death eater as well. He's going insane. Especially with Peter also becoming distant.
Everything is falling apart. He wishes it wasn't. He has heard rumours that the wolves are becoming part of Voldemort followers. Sighing, he gets up leaving the library. He rubs his eyes, feeling lightheaded.
Walking up to the common room, he hears James' voice. He can't hear what he's saying, but he sees Regulus standing there with a scowl. By the look on James face, Regulus isn't changing his mind. Remus can see the love in James' eyes. The desperation.
It breaks Remus to see James' heart break, again. He's lost so much this year. War is making everyone crazy. He can see the unhappiness in Regulus' face about his choices. The thing is, he already made them, he can't backtrack now.
He sighs, turning around. He decides to take the longer way, knowing James will come crying to him tonight. Knowing James will want to be held close. Remus wishes war didn't exist.
…
Hermione is running. Not in a fun way either. With the ending of sixth year, Slytherins are having their fun. Death eaters are slowly appearing, striking everyone. Harry isn't here, but he left his potion behind. Aren't the Phoenix glad. Hermione is currently chasing after some random death eater.
The adrenaline is high, fear is also high, and everyone is losing their mind. When Hermione gets closer to the death eater, she realizes it as Bellatrix. Sirius' cousin. Malfoys aunt. This isn't good. Apparently this isn't the first time Hogwarts had a death eaters attack.
Hermione is losing her mind, how did this happen? Everything was just fine. Classes were supposed to end tomorrow. Panting, she throws hexes at Bellatrix. Thanks to the potion, Hermione doesn't get hit. Maybe they can finally bring Voldemort down.
Hermione has lost Ron, Luna, Ginny, and Neville. Hopefully they're safe. Hermione hasn't even confessed to Ron yet. Maybe during the second war of Voldemort, she can. Hopefully she can live til the end, to confess. She hasn't got to see Harry, Malfoy, Luna, or Ginny fall in love again. Malfoy loves Harry, that's no doubt. Harry loves him back, also no doubt. Ginny loves Luna, it's clear. Luna… Hermione thinks she loves Ginny. Neville, well, he's secretive about his love life.
After hours of fighting, the death eaters retreated. Dumbledore died. Snape killed him. Everyone breaks.
…
Remus is exhausted. It's two days before a full moon. Death eaters are attacking within Hogwarts ground. He's running, attacking death eaters left and right. We're just kids. James got pulled out of school for the week, due to issues at home. Good thing that Slughorn had them due a luck potion the day before. All the non death eaters got access to it.
Remus is in front of Regulus. Both of them were scared. Staring at each other. They can't hurt one another. Sirius' younger brother. Adrenaline is high. People are out of breath. Classes end in three days. They were supposed to leave just fine. Voldemort didn't have them stay long.
Remus falls to his knees once he has his followers leave. James and Regulus will forever be a tragic love story. Snape will forever wear that look of guilt when looking at Lily. Remus is already with Sirius, but to think they won't have a long time together, hurts.
Everything is falling apart. No one is happy. Lives have been broken. No one was killed today. But we learned off death eaters or wannabes around the school; Evan Rosier. Severus Snape. Bartemius Crouch Jr. Regulus Black. Bruce Mulciber Jr. Edmund Avery Jr. Wilhelm Wilkes. Aurora Sinistra. Charity Burbage. And a lot more. This school is doomed.
