Sirius POV:
“Sirius just got humbled so bad!” Marlene cackled, flopping back on the couch.
I glared at her, not saying anything.
“How?” Peter asked, but I could barely hear him because ofJames’ manic laugh.
“I don’t believe it, it’s not possible!” James muttered to himself between laughs and I was pretty sure he was just mocking me.
“That artsy guy didn’t even know who he was!” Marlene smiled, throwing her head back, still laughing.
“Merlin's beard, poor Siri,” Lily said but I could tell she was holding back a laugh as she spoke.
“Shut up,” I groaned, rolling my eyes, “it's fine, not everyone needs to know who i am you know.”
“Sirius, you cried last week because my five year old sister didn’t know who you were, i doubt you’re fine,” Mary said, tilting her head to the side slightly.
“I’ve grown since then,” I lied, glaring at her.
“You’ve grown in one week?”
“Self growth has no time limit Mary,” I smiled, emphasizing her name.
I couldn’t really tell how I felt about this artsy boy. He didn’t know who I was, which definitely surprised me but it didn’t really bother me.
Normally, after an interaction like that I would just move on with my life and pretend like it never happened. But I couldn't stop thinking about that boy.
He was quiet, didn’t say much the whole time but when he did speak, his voice made my heart go crazy. His brown eyes, that perfectly went with his light brown hair that was all over the place, were ingrained into my brain. He had scars on his face that I couldn't find an explanation for. There was one on his nose, one on his eyelid, a couple on his cheeks and one on his lip.
I smiled at the thought of his lips and how badly I wanted to kiss them.
“Who’s got you smiling like that?” Mary asked, poking me in the side.
I jumped slightly, not realizing she had gotten up.
“No one,” I said too quickly.
“Oh is that so?” she laughed, “maybe it's that artsy boy?”
“Uh- no,” I rolled my eyes, trying not to let it show how it was in fact the artsy boy that had me smiling.
“You’re such a bad liar, you know that?” she smiled, poking me again, “Sirius is in loveee.”
“Siri has a new crush?” James asked, walking up behind me.
“I do not!” I exclaimed, crossing my arms.
“Whatever you say, Sirius,” Mary shrugged, still smiling, “but we know the truth.”
“Guys, I barely know him. I’m not in love with him!”
“But you do like him, don’t you?” James smiled.
“I- maybe?” I whispered, “I don't know, okay?”
“Go talk to him then!” Marlene exclaimed, popping up next to James.
“Yes! You should go do that!” Lily smiled.
“I don’t know. That’ll be weird wouldn’t it?” I said slowly.
“Just go find him,” Mary laughed, pushing me towards the door.
“Okay, okay, I'll try, okay?” I sighed.
“Good, now go!”

Remus POV:
I crossed my legs, lifting my head slightly. I had been sitting in the same spot for the last two hours and it was starting to take a toll on my back.
And that’s when I saw Sirius walking towards me.
We had met earlier but I had lied and told him that I didn’t know who he was. I did it just so I could mess with him but he seemed quite annoyed by it. Well rather, his friends seemed to think it was funny while he just stood there, looking embarrassed.
But here he was, walking back towards me.
“Hello,” I said slowly, meeting his bright grey eyes.
“Hey,” he smiled, making my heart stop slightly.
“Can I sit? He asked, walking up next to me.
“Yeah sure,” I shrugged.
“Sorry about my friends,” he laughed, “they’re a little….extra.”
“Just a little?” I questioned, raising my eyebrows.
“Okay, maybe more than a little but they don’t mean any harm, they’re just a little….special,”
“They’re special alright,” I muttered, rolling my eyes slightly.
“What was your name by the way? I didn’t catch it before,” Sirius asked, leaning forward slightly.
“Uh, Remus,” I smiled, “Remus Lupin.”
I stuck out my hand and he shook it, smiling back at me.
“I’m Sirius Black but I assume you already know that, considering what happened earlier,” He laughed.
I tried not to think about the fact that his thigh was brushing against mine and that his voice made my lungs want to give in.
So there we were, sitting on a bench outside a hotel. I wasn’t sure how long we talked but I guessed that I had probably missed dinner and other things i had planned for that night.
But for some reason, I didn't care. I was here with this boy I had just met and it was perfect.

Sirius POV:
I smiled, trying to take in everything he said.
It was cold and we had been sitting here for hours but I couldn't care less. I didn’t care about the fact that goosebumps covered my arms and that my fingers were starting to go numb.
“Are you okay?” Remus asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
“Yeah, I'm fine,” I lied, “just a little cold.”
He shrugged off his flannel, holding it out towards me.
“Put this on, it's not much but it’ll help,” he shrugged.
“I’m fine,” I sighed, rolling my eyes but I tried not to smile as I took it from him.
He raised his eyebrows, meeting my eyes.
“Fine,” I whispered, throwing it on.
“Good,” Remus smiled, leaning back, “I might just be drunk, but it makes you look cute.”
“Oh is that so?” I smiled back, cupping my hand under his chin.
“Yeah,” he whispered, tracing his fingers along my thigh.
I leaned in, meeting him halfway. I kissed him softly, the warmth of his lips sending a chill down my spine.
I smiled, pulling away. I didn’t open my eyes, in fear that this would be a joke.
“You can open your eyes,” he whispered, as if he was reading my mind, “I’m still here.”
“I was enjoying having my eyes closed idiot,” I lied, glaring at him.
“You normally don’t kiss someone and then insult them,” he laughed, raising his eyebrows slightly.
“Get used to it babe,” I smiled.
I kissed him again, then stood up. I took his hand, dragging him along with me.
“Where are we going?” he asked but he followed me.
“You’ll see,”
