Sirius paces around his safe house distraught in front of his wife Marlene McKinnon while she holds their little son Aries. He smiles at her and walks over ruffling his son's hair and placing his hand on her slightly swollen stomach. He presses a kiss to her head and then his sons before telling her something is very wrong and he can only fear the worse. He tells her to go muggle or to her family if he is not back within the week or she sees news of something happening to him. He tells her that his patronus is refusing to take the message to James or Lily so he can only assume the worst. He also whispers that if he can he won't stop until he finds them if they do go muggle. She replies she knows that and gives him a deep kiss before pushing him to the door. They stare at each other and state that they love each other with a sober mood as he apparates to Godric's Hollow.
What he found broke him; he found James dead in the living room, the door to the house being thrown off the hinges. James had been thrown into the wall and then crucioed before he had been hit with the killing curse. Sirius grimaced at the gruesome scene before sprinting up the stairs at the sound of a baby's cries. He rushes into the nursery only to find it in ruin with rubble everywhere there are ashes on the ground and Lily is slumped over on the floor in front of the bassinet that held a crying alive baby. Sirius burst into tears at the sight of his godson he couldn't believe he had lived, he picked up Harry noticing the scar on his head but worrying more about getting him to safety than anything else, he knew there's a traitorous rat and needed to get to him but first he must get Harry to safety.
Sirius, distraught as can be apparates to Andromeda and Ted's house late Halloween night and knocks on the door as hard as he can. Andromeda opens the door in a rage and demands to know why he has decided to wake her entire family in the dead of the night. But before she can even speak a baby is thrust into her arms Sirius says to Andromeda in a harsh voice trust no one and keep him here don't believe anything you hear, just know James and Lillie are dead and Harry is not safe. I'm going to catch a rat and if something goes wrong I may need your help to get out of it, Sirius states before turning away and apparating.
Andromeda turns back into the house little Harry staring up at her with his killing curse green eyes. She smiles at the baby and walks back into the house, her thoughts running wild. Ted grabs her shoulder after she closes and locks the door asking what was going on and asking who the baby was and why she had it. She explained that he was Harry Potter and that the war was apparently going unexpectedly down a weird path as well as the fact that there was a traitor among the Order. She also explained how Sirius was little Harry's godfather and had left him in her care, he also told them to trust nothing and also requested their help in case he failed to catch the traitor and was blamed. Ted understood and they moved into the living room. He cast a conjuration spell and created a bassinet for little Harry. Nymphadora walks in and stares down at little Harry smiling as he reaches up to her she grabs his hand and whispers that she's gonna marry him one day.
Just as Sirius feared, everything went wrong he saw in the paper his wife's family had been killed and also saw he was a wanted man, the paper also stated how Harry had been titled the boy who lived and given credit for Voldemort's defeat. It also stated how they were searching for Harry with no clues so far except for the fact it must be the work of the evil Sirius Black. He dropped the paper when he suddenly got a whiff of the rat. He then turns around and sprints down the alleyway shooting stunners at the rat in human form only for him to turn around and cut off a finger and send a bombarda into the side of the building next to him and turning into a rat and fleeing. Before Sirius can even react the aurors are on him and arresting him for even more crimes he didn't commit. He is thrown into Azkaban without a trial and left to rot.
After a month of demanding and bargaining with the wizengamot to get Sirius a trial Ted and Andromeda with the help of Amelia Bones get him a trial. Under Veritaserum Sirius tells them the truth of what happened: that the traitor Peter Pettigrew was the secret keeper and had betrayed James and Lily; he also was an illegal Rat Animagus. He cut off his finger and then shot a bombarda before turning into a rat and running away. After using a pensive to see the memory and getting blood evidence to see that Sirius was Harry's godfather he is given the right to be Harry's guardian and acquitted of his charges.
Sirius was celebrating with Andromeda and Little Harry and Nymphradora at her house the next day while Ted went to the office to grab a few files from the case before heading back home to celebrate his victory. In his cheery mood he did not notice the eerie silence of his office or the lifeless bodies at the desks as he opened his office he was greeted by Lucius Malfoy and Crabbe and Goyle senior all their wands pointed at him. Lucius states you have done a disservice to your pureblood rulers and for it, you shall die you muggle-born scum and sends a killing curse right into his chest. Lucius then has Crabbe and Goyle senior Bombarda the support pillars of the building. He later has the minister claim it was a gas leak.
Sirius realizing that Ted's death was no gas leak moves Nymphradora Harry and Andromeda into Grimmauld place after taking back over as lord of house black. He also reinstates Andromeda into the family; in doing so it also adds Nymphadora.
Over the next four years, they grieve Ted’s death as well as the Potters and clean up Grimmwald place, levitating all the cursed decor and objects into the attic and locking it tightly. They also get Krecher to help them some, even if he is against it. but Sirius and Andromeda spend most of their time focusing on the children. Andromeda raises them mostly while Sirius searches the muggle world for his wife and children. Nymphadora is ten and only has a year left before she goes to Hogwarts. Sirius has given Harry a mini broom that he flies around the place while Nymphadora has her own and chases him around, causing Andromeda great frights often.
Just after Nympradora was sent to Hogwarts Sirius found his wife and children. Their integration back into his life and the wizarding world was a slight issue in his mind but a great detriment to them in the end. Nyphradora was sorted into Hufflepuff and could not be any more proud of it in her letters to the six-year-old Harry. Aries and Harry become friends fairly quickly with Harry showing him minor magic and stuff he's picked up, all of it being wandless and such almost impossible for Aries to just pick up. But they bond further over their love of flying and become the new terrors to Andromeda and Marlene. Artemis was more reserved and stayed with her mother most of the time. Marlene and Harry seemed to have come to a silent agreement not long after she came into his life. She will never be a mother to him and he will never be her child. They just mostly ignored each other but life moved on Harry, Aires, and Artmis got closer and Andromeda introduced them to the Greengrasses and the Delacours as well as a friend of the Grengrasses Tracey Davis. They all became fast friends even Fluer who was three years older than Harry, Daphne, Tracey, and Aires while Artemis, Astoria, and Gabrielle were a year younger than the three of them.
The children would play and learn together under Andromeda, Apolline Delacour, and Adorabella Greengrass. The children were taught magic theory and some slight household magics that were easily used without a wand. Harry spent more time in the Black family library than the others and when no one was watching he would dive into some of the darker books that Sirius didn't want any of the children to read.
Four months before Harry turns eleven Sirius thought it would be good to take him to Gringotts to get anything he could inheritance and property wise in order as well as to see what was in his trust fund for school. He was also going to set up a betrothal between Harry and Daphne as the two were so fond of each other as it was. As they walk in Harry is asked to do a blood test to make sure he is the Potter heir. The reception goblin has Harry cut his palm with a magical knife and tells him to drop three drops of blood onto the paper in front of him. Harry does so and everyone is surprised by the results. Before anyone of them can react an alarm goes off and all the doors close and lock. Harry and Sirius are then escorted by four spear-wielding goblins to the biggest door of an office in Gringotts with lots of magical runes surrounding the stone doors. The doors swing open with a push from all four guards. And the giant goblin inside introduces himself as Ragnok the king of goblins and ruler of Gringotts. He has Harry and Sirus sit across from them and then read off Harry's inheritance test.

After the shocking inheritances, Harry has been shown, Ragnok told them the stipulation behind the three legendary houses and claiming of their ownerships. A test each distinctly different from the other. He also told them he had no idea how the three came to exist in only one bloodline and even that was barely hanging on with only two known magicals in the last 100 years at the least. He told them of Merlin's test of knowledge and the ten attempts you have each a year apart. Then about Morgan's trial of battle and dark magics and how there were no limits on the amount of attempts but a chance at death every time. And then finally about Aurthers, it was a one-chance test that you either won or died trying. Harry decides to go to Merlin's vault and take on the challenge once now just so he can find out what kind of questions are asked. While Sirius stays behind and sets up Harry and Daphne's betrothal for House Potter. He also asks for Harry's trust vault’s status and the key for it only to be informed that the key was given to Harry's magical guardian a week after his parents perished. And that they did not know the full status but had records of funds being taken out in the name of Harry’s care. Sirius was explosively mad at this, stating he was Harry's guardian so someone was stealing House Potter’s gold. Ragnok, sensing that something is affront, calls in Griphok the goblin who is in charge of Potter's affairs, and asks him about it he simply states the same thing Ragnok did. With that Ragnok uses goblin magic to summon the key and check the records of where their funds had been sent. Seeing only one line of constant monthly transfer. When a thousand gold is moved from the Potter trust vault into one Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledores' vault. Sirius saw red but kept it under control and told them to just stop any more transactions and told them there is no point in fighting him for the money as he will just win.
Harry is led down to the deepest part of Gringotts passing a dragon and millions of warded runes. And into a massive area with only three prominent sets of double doors. Each with a legendary family name above it. Harry walks towards the one with Emery above it and an image of a phoenix. He read the sign on the pedestal out front. My successor needs but to drop 5 droplets of the blood to awaken my trial. Harry does so and with it an abundance of questions appear on the pedestal with a quill and ink to write the answers down. Harry looks over the test and can't help but sigh in despair. There are questions about every branch of magic to the very darkest types. There are questions about obscure accident potions and extinct magical animals. Harry just tries to answer to the best of his ability but knows it is futile. After he is done it poofs away in a red smoke signaling failure. Harry sighs thinking he will never be able to pass that test with the current magical world knowledge. After he steps away a ghost appears in front of him and introduces himself as Merlin stating that he will tutor Harry for the following year. They leave the bank after Harry gets the Heir rings for House Potter and Gryffindor. Both have heavy protection runes imbued in them to protect the wielder.
Merlin's first thought is to look around the Black's library when they get back and once he does so he shows the boy, who is the only one who can see him, where the books he needs are. He makes the boy learn legilimency and occlumency so that his mind is protected and so that he can build a proper storage and protection system for all the information he will and has obtained. Harry then spends most of the next four months learning from Merlin in the library and getting into all the books he shouldn't. Merlin tells Harry to inform his Godfather that the black ancestral magic tome is not here. When Harry does Sirius is confused and points to a section saying they're all right there. Harry then asks why the Black elemental magic book is not here then confusing Sirius further. Harry explains that every ancient house has one and that it's the only way to reach the 9th class as a witch or wizard.
After Harry receives his letter on his 11th birthday Sirius thinks it is a good time to take all the kids shopping for their school supplies so Sirius, Andromeda, and Adorabella take Harry, Aries, Daphne, and Tracey to get the things they will need for school. They start off at Flourish and Blotts getting all their school books. Harry with Merlin's help grabs a few other books he could use. After that, they go to the Quidditch store and Harry and Aries get new brooms not the top of the line but still very good brooms. Sirius didn't want them to seem like they were showing off their wealth to seem better than others. They then go to Madam Malkin's and get their school robes as well as dress robes for the events they will all have to be a part of as heirs to prominent noble houses.
They then head to find themselves some familiars As Harry walks in a snowy white owl swoops down and lands on his shoulder the shopkeeper runs after it stiles stunned at it being calm and rubbing itself on Harry's face. The shopkeeper apologizes for not being able to control the owl and says it's usually quite aggressive before he can say more Harry tells the man he will take the owl petting her snowy coat and ruffling her feathers and names it Hedwig. Merlin stares wide-eyed at the creature on his protege's shoulder a legendary creature not yet matured and sealed into a common owl. It was an ice phoenix yet not it was sealed by blasphemous magic so that it was stuck as a common owl. Daphne finds herself a Black cat naming it Shadow and Tracy finds a small cottonmouth snake and names it Venom While Aries gets a large Black owl and names it Hades. Sirius promises to help all of them do the familiar contracts when they get back to Grimmwald place.
They go to the trunk store and the girls and aries go to the normal student section while Harry following Merlin's advice goes up to the shopkeeper and asks for the largest trunk they have, The shopkeeper smiles and brings him to the back where there is a trunk the size of a small mansion inside with 15 rooms that a wizard or which may make into anything they wish harry smiles at the man and pulls out the potch he received from Gringotts asking how much it will be. He tells Harry it will be three thousand Galleons 15 Sickles and 25 Knuts Harry smiles and pulls out the exact amount he stated and gives it to him before grabbing the trunk and bringing it out to his friends and Godfather. Harry doesn't reply to their questions about his trunk just says it's something special. Sirius shrugs and shrinks it down with all the rest of the trunks and puts it in the bag he's holding for Harry and Aries.
Their last stop is Ollivanders to get their wands. Harry finds it a waste of time so does Merlin magic is all about intent and will a wand is just a channeling device that can actually limit you more than help you. Harry ended up with an 11-inch long wand made of holly that has a phoenix feather core. Ollivander tells him that the phoenix gave but two feathers and that the owner of the other is the one who caused his scar as well as the fact that it means they have brother wands and their fates are intertwined. Daphne got a 7¾ inch wand made of holly with an ashwinder ash core Tracey got a 10¼ inch wand made of willow with a Unicorn hair core. Aries got a 10½ inch wand made of aspen with a dragon heartstring core. After that, they went home and started preparing for school and enjoying the last month of freedom
