First Meeting (Pandora's Version)
Chapter 1
Pandora arrives to the gallery at 7:24 p.m., 6 minutes before they told Evan she would be there. She has always arrived early for her brother. Walking into the building thry look around and see just how wonderful all the art is. People with all kinds of styles are being shown and Pandora desperately wants to look at them, but first they have to find Evan.
Finding her brother turns out to be shockingly difficult. He does surrealism paintings which seems like an easy thing to find, unfortunately that is not the case. Having given up she decided to shoot Evan a text telling him to find her and starts to look around the exhibit. Almost immediately they are drawn to a collection of photos. The pictures show two women going through all stages of a relationship. In them Pandora can see a first date, the couples first time, arguments, and happy moments. She thinks these might be the most accurate depict of love they've ever seen. Suddenly there's a voice behind her.
"Do you like the pictures?" says the stranger and Pandora turns around to see a beautiful woman with fiery red hair. Pandora stares for a moment enamored with the gorgeous creature in front of her. Finally they manage to choke out, "I do." The woman, who Pandora thinks may be the artist, blurts out, "What's your name?" Pandora responds with, "My name is Pandora, it's lovely to meet you. Are you the artist?"
She introduces herself as Lily and strikes up a conversation about her work and Pandora just starts talking. They can't quite tell if everything they're saying is too much but have decided to just go with it. At some point Pandora mentions her writing and is elated that Lily seems interested in them. Pandora snaps back into reality when Lily asks, "Can I have your number?" Quickly, Pandora reaches for a peice of paper she knows she has in her pocket and writes it with the pen she keeps there as well.
"I would love to speak to you again as well," Pandora says as she hands over the paper. They spot Evan, finally and quickly go to where his work is displayed and start admiring a painting he did. It's a very interesting take on gender expression and Pandora adores it. She always loves Evan's work. "So are you ever gonna talk about what happened with that photographer over there?" Evan asks with a hint of teasing in his voice. "Perhaps," Pandora replies.
Later that night Pandora finds herself unable to get Lily out of her thoughts. They see her freckles skin and gorgeous green eyes when they close their own. Eventually, she decides, enough is enough. Finally, Pandora starts writing. They have been inspired. She writes about a girl with red hair and green eyes. The girl can show glimpses of other realities to people who need to see them. The girl finds another person, one with blonde curls and grey eyes, and she shows her a what she didn't know know wanted. They can't wait to see what comes next.
