Harry was sitting infront of the fireplace in the common room, his face blank and his body shivering. It was past midnight and Harry couldn't sleep or more accurately had nightmares and could not sleep anymore. It had been two days since Sirius Black had tried to invade the gryffindor tower and attacked fat lady. Harry could not sleep as he was having nightmares of the night his parents died and was very sad.

So lost in his own mind Harry did not notice Percy coming towards him. Percy on the other hand had noticed that there was someone in the common room and came to check. As Percy noticed that it was Harry he tried to call Harry but when he didn't answer he slowly placed a hand on Harry's shoulder, this startled Harry and he jumped turning around to see Percy's concerned face. "Harry are you alright?" Asked Percy in a concerned voice. " Ah..um..y..yeah umm...yes I'm fine." said Harry. "Okay then, but why aren't you sleeping?" asked Percy in a suspicious voice. " Oh umm I couldn't sleep. " replied Harry in a tired but timid voice. Percy looked concerned and said," you know right that even if I am strict and seem pompous you can still tell me if there is anything that is worrying you. So tell me what happened why are you here this late? Did you have a nightmare?" . Harry flushed in embarrassment and looked away stuttering," umm...n..no no i..it is nothing like that." Percy raised an eyebrow and said in a disbelieving voice, " you know right that I have six siblings four of which are younger than me, so I know if you are lying and why you can't sleep." Harry just look at Percy and then looked away. " So tell me what happened?" Percy asked sitting beside Harry and turning towards him. Harry hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath and then sighed . There was a silence for some minutes between both of them before Harry started speaking," you know why I faint whenever I come near the dementors, it is because I hear my parents voice from the night they died. I hear my father asking mum to take me and run, that he will hold him off, I hear my mum running with me and my father dying. I hear my mum begging Voldemort to take her instead and him ordering my mum to move aside, I can hear as my mum gets killed and Voldemort comes towards me." finished Harry with tears in his eyes. Percy was looking pale by the time Harry finished. Harry continued," whenever I sleep I have nightmares about that night and you know what is the interesting part" Harry asked in a humorless voice, " that is the only memory I have of my parents." Harry said laughing without humour. " And you know I just miss them so much, I mean how stupid it is to miss someone that you don't know but I still miss them I still wonder what it would be like to have them alive with me." Harry said in a broken voice. Percy took a look at Harry's condition and brought him in a hug putting Harry's face between his shoulder and neck rubbing Harry's back. " Let it out." Percy said in a very soft voice. Harry started crying freely sobbing as he tightly hugged Percy back.

They sat there in that position for sometime. After sometime Harry now calm took in the position and tried to scramble away, but Percy held a firm grip on Harry. Pulling back Percy gripped Harry's shoulder and said in a gentle but firm voice looking him in the eye," I did not know that was the reason of your fainting but I am thankful that you told me that and I want you to listen me closely, it's okay to miss someone that you really don't know because they were still your parents Harry, they were still the one who gave their life to save your life, who sacrificed themselves so you could live. It does not matter that you didn't really know them they were still the one who birthed you and loved you so much that they give their life for you. So believe me when I say that it's okay to miss them but Harry they give their life so you could live and live happily so I want you to know that it's okay to miss them, but you also need to live for them and for yourself especially." Harry look at Percy as if seeing him for the first time, you look at Percy in kind of awe. Percy then said," now whenever you have nightmares about that night just remember that they are still here with you here" moving his hand towards Harry's heart, " okay ?" . Percy looked at Harry with questioning eyes, Harry just noded his head in a yes. " Now I think it is very late and you should sleep as there are classes tomorrow" Percy said in his prefect voice continuing with a joking tone," but I hope that you don't tell my younger siblings about this specially the twins because I really don't know what the twins will do if they know that I can be this soft. And I don't think my repetition as a pompous head boy can survive this" Percy said with a laugh. Harry laughed while nodding his head and said in a joking voice," sure, and personally I don't think they will believe me." Percy laughed at Harry's sentence and said in a joking pompous voice," well I have a reputation to keep haven't I?" They both laughed together at Percy's reply. "So now I hope that you will go to your dorm and get some sleep. Good night Harry." Percy said getting up from the couch. Harry too got up from the couch and they both moved towards the dorm rooms, " good night Percy and thanks for tonight." Harry said. " It's okay Harry, after all you are my brother" Percy replied with a smile on his face. Harry smiled back and they both went to sleep with a small smile on their face.
