As Pandora walks into an empty compartment with her brother, Evan, she throws her bag on the overhead shelf before sitting down in the seat with her cat on her lap. Pandora’s had her cat for 2 years and she loves her more than anything. She named her Angel, because of the pure angel white fur. Evan takes the seat opposite of her after putting his own bag on the shelf as well.

“I can’t wait to see Hogwarts!” Pandora says excitedly, almost jumping in her seat.

Evan laughs. “Me neither! We are going to have so much fun.”

“Honestly, I’m scared of your version of ‘fun,’” Pandora teases him.

“Hey! You’re not much better,” he shoots back.

“That is true, but all my trouble serves a purpose. Yours do not.”

“Mine serves the purpose of having fun, you should try it someday.”

“But you don’t learn anything from it. Don’t you ever get curious how things work?” Pandora leans forward as she talks eagerly.

“Nope. As long as they work, I don’t care how or why,” Evan shrugs.

Pandora leans back disappointed, even though she hears the same answer every time she asks. She’s never met anyone who’s actually interested in the same things she is, people don’t even wanna hear her talk about it.

“I’ll never understand you,” she finally says after a few beats of silence.

“And I you,” her brother says back.

With that Pandora turns to look outside. She sees the families saying goodbye and kids entering the train. Before long, everyone has boarded, parents and younger siblings waving goodbye to the children aboard as the train starts moving. Pandora wishes her parents cared enough to stay and wave goodbye to her and her brother. She can’t complain though, there are worse families. At least her parents followed them to the train station and said goodbye there. Why does she even care if they stayed or not when they still said goodbye?

She watches the trees and the fields fly past the window as the train increases in speed. The door to their compartment opens and she quickly turns around. In walks a pale black haired boy, his back so straight that she’s sure it must hurt. He walks in and sits down beside her, takes a book out from his bag, and begins reading.

Kind of rude, if you ask her. The way he walks in and sits down without asking, presenting himself, or even saying anything.

She just stares at him, waiting for him to say something. Anything.

“What are you looking at?” He asks in a posh and clearly annoyed voice, without even looking up from the book.

She’s confused how he knew she was looking at him without even lifting his eyes from the pages. She kind of forgets to answer him, too distracted by her thoughts. He finally looks up at her, raising a brow in question.

“Huh?”

“I said. What are you looking at?!” He asks, even more annoyed than before.

“Nothing I just– I’m Pandora Rosier,” she says, putting out her hand, thinking it’ll get him to present himself as well.

He glimpses down at her hand, before looking back at her with a completely blank face. “Okay?” He simply says before returning to his book.

She just stares at him, mouth slack and a look of confusion and shock written across her face. “Why are you so rude?” she asks bluntly after the moment of shock.

“Pandora!” Evan exclaims.

“What? He is!”

“But you don’t have to just say it.”

“I just say it how it is.”

“Yes, and what have mother and father said about that?”

“That I shouldn’t,” Pandora starts, “but when have you ever listened to mother and father?”

“That’s not what we were talking about.”

“Stop avoiding the question!”

“Stop being rude!”

“I’m not the rude one, he is,” Pandora says with a nod towards the black haired boy.

“Are you two bickering again?” She hears a familiar voice ask, with a laugh.

Pandora instantly looks up with a huge smile. “Dorcas!” she exclaims before getting up to hug her friend. Dorcas' parents are friends with Pandora and Evans' parents, so they’ve known each other since childhood, though Dorcas is a year older than the twins and started at Hogwarts a year before.

Pandora sits back down again and Dorcas sits down beside Evan.

“So, how was your summer?” Dorcas asks them.

“It was great,” Pandora answers.

“Yeah, if you can call our parents taking us to the vacation house in Spain great,” Evan continues.

“Well it was fun, better than boring London.” Pandora argues

“I couldn’t see my friends all summer!” Evan complains loudly.

“You have friends?” Pandora teases and Evan sticks his tongue out at her.

“Well I missed you guys,” Dorcas says before Pandora can continue.

Unlike Pandora’s teasing, Evan actually has a lot of friends in London. It’s Pandora who doesn’t. Most people find Pandora weird or odd and treat her like it’s contagious. That’s why she’s so grateful for Dorcas, not only because she doesn’t care that Pandora’s different, but also because she’ll fight anyone who bullies Pandora; she already has, many times before. Pandora doesn’t know what she’d do without Dorcas. Don’t get Pandora wrong, she loves being alone and she loves her own company, but sometimes it’s good to have at least one friend. She has two. No matter how much she and Evan banter or fight, he is and will always be one of her best friends. No one knows her the way he does.

“We missed you, too, Cas,” Pandora says with a smile in her friend's direction.

“What houses do you two think you’ll be in?” Dorcas asks them suddenly.

“Slytherin, obviously,” Evan answers without missing a beat.

Pandora thinks about it for a bit. “I don’t know and honestly I don’t care. All the houses sound amazing in their own ways. I’d be happy in any house, I think.”

“Well I hope you both get into Slytherin, then we can be in the same house,” Dorcas says.

“Yeah, that would be amazing,” Pandora admits with a laugh. “And honestly I think our parents would prefer that as well.”

“Cas?” Evan starts as he looks at Dorcas. “I’ve heard that the castle is giant and that most of it is just old unused classrooms, is that true?”

Dorcas laughs. “Yeah, it is.”

“Well that’s just dumb. Why do they have so much space if they don’t use it?”

“I’ve thought the same thing. At least they don’t have to clean it though,” Dorcas says.

“Yeah, because they use house elves to do that, which is basically slavery.”

“Panda, they don’t want to get paid. It’s not slavery if they want it,” Evan says

“They only ‘want’ it, because they’ve been raised to think house elfs who don’t want it are horrible.”

“We’ve fought about this so many times, Panda, we’ll never agree.”

Pandora rolls her eyes at him, but decides to not continue it.

“We should probably change into our school uniforms now, because if we wait till right before we’re there, everyone will be using the toilets and we have to wait in line for ages. It’s always better to change at the beginning of the train ride rather than at the end.” Dorcas tells them.

“How do you know that? It’s only your second year.” Evan asks with a laugh.

“It’s a tip a fifth year gave me last year,” She explains.

With that, all three of them take out their bags to find their school uniforms. Evan and Pandora just have basic black uniforms since they haven’t been sorted yet, but Dorcas has a slytherin one. When Pandora finds hers, she turns to the strange black haired boy. “Can you please watch Angel for me?”

He looks up at her, clearly knowing she’s talking to him since there’s no one else there, everyone has already gone to change.

“Angel?” he asks.

“My cat. You don’t have to be nice to watch a cat. Just make sure she’s okay.”

He rolls his eyes, which she finds highly unnecessary and rude, she’s only asking him to make sure a cat doesn’t run away for 5 minutes, it’s not that big of a deal, but this time she doesn’t say it outloud.

“Fine,” he just says before returning to his book.

Pandora grabs the clothes and leaves the compartment annoyed. She goes to a bathroom where she changes into her school uniform, before returning to the compartment.

She’s the first one back. She sees that the boy has also changed into his Hogwarts robes while they were all gone.

She takes Angel and sits on the opposite side of him this time, since he’s stolen her spot by the window while she was gone. When she’s sitting, she leans her head against the window, trying to get some sleep before they arrive. The train's movement makes her head rustle though, so she decides to cross her arms as she lays them on the table in the middle and then puts her head on top of her forearms. It doesn’t take her long to fall asleep like that, she’s sleeping before the others are even back.

Pandora wakes up by someone shaking her, “Pandora, we’re here,” she hears Dorcas' calm voice tell her.

She rubs her eyes with the heel of her hands before opening them. While she was asleep she must have changed position because she wakes up with her head in Dorcas lap instead of on the table. She looks out of the window, it was still light outside when she fell asleep, but now it’s dark.

“How long have I been asleep?” she wonders out loud as she sits up.

“2 hours,” her brother answers.

Pandora nods as she looks around, she sees that the strange boy is still here, putting his book into his bag.

She is about to take her own bag down, when Dorcas stops her. “The bags will be brought to our dorms, so just leave them,” she says.

“What about Angel?”

“She’ll be brought to your dorm too, don’t worry about her, they are always careful with the pets.”

Pandora looks at her confused, before nodding and turning around to leave the compartment, knowing that Evan and Dorcas are right behind her.

When she gets out of the train she turns around and waits for her brother and friend. They walk over to her.

“So you two need to take the boats with the first years and I have to take the carriages, but I’ll see you there,” Dorcas says and hugs them goodbye before leaving.

“Firs' years! Firs' years over here!” Pandora hears someone call and she grabs her brother's hand as she walks towards it. It’s a half giant with brown hair that’s calling for first years.

Pandora and Evan walk over to the group.

“C’mon, follow me. All firs’ years follow me,” the half giant says when everyone seems to be there.

They all follow him down to a lake where there’s a lot of boats waiting for them.

“No more than 4 per boat,” the half giant says.

Pandora gets into a boat with Evan and two other boys.

When everyone has gotten into their boats they start sailing and Pandora looks around before she turns back to the others and smiles at the two boys. “Hi! My name is Pandora Rosier and this is my brother Evan Rosier,” she presents.

“I’m Barty Crouch Jr.,” one of the boys says. He has short brown hair and wide shoulders.

“And I’m Oliver Green,” the last boy finishes quietly. He has brown hair as well, but unlike Barty he looks like a stick.

“Do you two know each other?” Pandora asks them.

“No, we don’t,” Oliver says, shaking his head.

Pandora stretches her hand down and lets it glide along the water as they sail.

“Be careful the squid don’t bite you” Barty laughs.

“Squid?” Oliver asks nervously.

“Yeah, there’s a giant squid in the lake, but don’t listen to him, it’s not dangerous,” she says which makes Oliver let out a relieved breath. “Didn’t your parents tell you about it?”

Oliver shrugs “My parents aren’t magic”

Pandora’s eyes go wide as she learns towards the boy curiously. “Wait, are you a muggleborn?!”

“Yeah, I think that’s what it was called”

“That’s so cool!”

“Really?” he asks, clearly confused.

Evan laughs “Yeah, my sister has always been obsessed with muggles, though I’ve never really understood why.”

“I just find it super interesting and cool how much they’re able to do without magic!” Pandora defends. “Like, have you heard of a TV?”

“Only about the million times you’ve talked about it,” Evan laughs.

“TV?” Barty asks.

“Don’t even get her started,” Evan teases.

“It’s this little box with small people inside!” Pandora exclaims, ignoring her brother.

“How do they get small people inside a box?” Barty asks, confused.

“See! That’s what I’m saying.”

Oliver laughs at them “There’s not actually people inside the box. It’s just been filmed and then put on the screen so you can watch it.”

All three purebloods turn their heads towards him confused. Pandora has no idea what he means by that.

“Nevermind,” Oliver says, “it’s difficult to explain.”

“Wow!” She hears someone from one of the other boats exclaim and she turns to see what’s going on. Hogwarts has come into view and to say it’s breathtaking would be an understatement.

“It’s more wonderful than I thought it would be,” Pandora says in awe.

“Yeah,” Evan breathes out in agreement.

They all gaze upon the castle until the boat finally arrives at shore. Pandora stares for a bit longer before she finally gets out of the boat, joining the others.

She follows the group towards the castle, taking her brother's hand nervously. He squeezes her hand as if to say I’m right here and she squeezes his back gratefully. Sometimes she feels sorry for anyone who doesn’t have a twin, because everyone deserves the special connection and understanding you have with a twin.

When they go through the main doors that lead into the castle, Pandora yet again looks around in awe. She honestly thinks everyone is underestimating how amazing Hogwarts is when they talk about it. Maybe it loses its shine after seven years, but Pandora doesn’t think she’ll ever not be in awe about this place.

The group is led into an empty room where they’re told to wait for a professor called McGonagall, before they’re left alone.

The moment they’re left alone, everyone starts talking to each other, but Pandore is too anxious to join in.

“How do you think we’ll be sorted into our houses?” she hears someone ask.

Pandora remembers Dorcas trying to scare them with weird stories after her first year, but luckily their parents had already explained what would happen. Apparently they’ll get an old hat, made by Godric Gryffindor, on their head. That hat is apparently the one telling you what house you’ll be in. They were never explained exactly how it works, but Pandora guesses she’ll know soon enough now anyways.

“I heard you have to fight a dragon” someone answers, which makes Pandora let out a snort. A dragon? Really? That’s the most far fetched story she’s heard this far, it even beats Dorcas’. That person is really creative though, maybe they’ll become friends. She loves people who are creative, there’s way too many boring people in this world. Pandora doesn’t know how so many people can go through life without any ounce of creativity, she knows if it was her she’d die from boredom.

“No, that’s not true” Barty starts. “What happens is that everyone will have to duel each other and the best will be sorted into slytherin.”

Pandora turns around to tell him that Slytherin is not the only good house, but before she gets that far, the door opens and in walks an older woman with her grey hair tied into a tight bun on top of her head. Pandora thinks that it must be Professor McGonagall.

“Hello first years, I am Professor McGonagall,” she says, confirming Pandora’s guess. “and I’m here to take you to the great hall where the sorting will take place. So, if you would all follow me please.” The older woman turns around and walks out of the room.

Pandora looks at Evan, before they both follow the professor. The whole group of first year walk down the corridor towards a set of doors. When they come closer, the doors swing open and if she thought everything else about Hogwarts was incredible, it’s nothing compared to the great hall. The roof is charmed to look like the sky outside, she makes a mental note to tell her parents that she wants this in her room. Candles are floating in the air, which is actually something her mother does a lot at home when they have guests over. There’s four long tables side by side, which are clearly the house tables, and then there’s one table at the end of the room, which is where the teachers are sitting.

She looks for the Slytherin table, which she quickly spots, it’s the furthest table to the left. She starts scanning the table for Dorcas, but doesn’t spot her. When they finally reach the end she stops looking, she’ll find her after.

“Welcome first years,” Professor McGonagall says, and with that Pandora brings her attention back to the older woman. “We are very happy to have you here and hope all of you have seven years filled with learning, friends and fun. But first you need to be sorted into your houses, which will become your home and family while you’re here.” At that Pandora looks back at the house tables, wondering which one she will spend her next seven years at, wondering if she’ll make friends in her house and if she’ll be in the same one as her brother. “When I read your name, you will come up and sit on this chair.” Pandora turns back to McGonagall, seeing her nodding towards a wooden chair beside her, afterwards bringing her attention back to a roll of parchment, unfurling it.

McGonagall clears her throat. “Abney Elizabeth,” she calls out. Pandora sees a small girl, with long red hair cautiously walk up towards McGonagall, sitting on the chair. McGonagall puts an old hat onto the small girl's head, the hat covering her eyes due to being too big.

Suddenly the hat opens something that looks like two eyes and a mouth and Pandora lets out a gasp in shock and curiosity. She knows magic can do a lot, she literally grew up surrounded by magic, yet she's never seen anything like this.

“HUFFLEPUFF!” the hat suddenly says out loud after a few seconds on the girl's head. Mcgonagall takes the hat off her and she gets up and slowly walks towards the Hufflepuff table, while everyone in the hall claps and yells.

McGonagall looks down upon the parchment again, yelling out a new name, but Pandora doesn’t hear it as she zones out, thinking about the hat. She wonders how it works, what kind of spell was used in the making of that hat. She’s really excited for her turn, maybe she can talk to it for a bit, figure it out.

Her eyes once again wander to the Slytherin table and this time she finally catches sight of the dark skinned girl. Dorcas, whose eyes are trained on the current student being sorted. She must feel Pandora’s look, because she turns her head to look at the blonde girl. When their eyes meet, Dorcas gives her a smile and a thumbs up, showing that she’s here and everything will be fine. Pandora sends her older friend a grateful smile.

Suddenly she feels someone nudging her and she turns around to look towards the teachers table to see what’s going on. McGonagall is looking at her disapprovingly. Pandora looks around confused.

“What?” she asks since everyone is staring at her.

“It’s your turn, Miss Rosier,” McGonagall says sternly, yet not unkind.

“Oh, alright, sorry Professor. I got distracted,” Pandora says with a smile before walking up towards the chair. She sits down right as a big hat gets put on her head. It falls down over her eyes and everything goes dark.

Curious, but also ambitious with a bit of bravery, yet also loyal without fault. You’re a hard one, a voice in her head says.

She looks around confused even though she can’t see anything. Who’s that? she thinks to herself.

I’m the sorting hat, the voice answers.

How are you talking in my head? Also I’d really love to know where your brain is. Do you even need a brain? Did Godric Gryffindor really make you? Oh I have so many questions for you. Maybe we can meet for tea and talk one day. Can you talk outloud or can you only yell the house names? Wait, can you even drink tea? she rambles in her head.

The voice laughs in her head. Well that definitely helped me decide where to put you.

What do you mean?

But the hat doesn’t answer her, it doesn’t say anything at all in her head, it just yells out “RAVENCLAW” and before she knows it, the hat has been removed from her head and she’s met with the sight of everyone in the great hall clapping like they apparently do when someone gets sorted.

She looks at McGonagall. “But he didn’t answer any of my questions. Can I maybe borrow him one day? I’d really like to hear his answers and maybe get a chat with him.”

Suddenly everyone in the great hall burst out laughing and she looks confused. Did she say something wrong? She’s told she sometimes says weird things, did she do that now? She frowns, embarrassed, and looks down as she makes her way towards the Ravenclaws table. Her brother has always told her that it’s okay to be weird, that it makes her her, but everyone is always so mean to her when she’s different so she’s learned that maybe it’s not as good as her brother has told her. She sits down at the Ravenclaw table and looks around to see if she can find her brother. She sees him at the Slytherin table, he’s already looking at her and when he sees her looking back he smiles at her comforting and sends her a look that says Don’t listen to them, fuck them. She sends him a small smile before looking away.

McGonagall calms everyone down before resuming the sorting. There’s not a lot more first years left before everyone is in a house.

As everyone has been sorted and is sitting at their new house tables, everyone seems to start talking to each other, so Pandora turns to the girl sitting opposite her, she has long brown hair and brown eyes that’s hidden behind a pair of glasses. “Hi, I’m Pandora Rosier.”

“Nice to meet you, I’m Ava Mintz,” the other girl says with a smile. “Welcome to Ravenclaw!”

“Thanks. So what year are you in?”

“I’m a fourth year student.”

“Wow, that’s so cool!” That's when Pandora realises the table is still empty. “When will the food be here? I’m just curious, since everyone has been sorted now.”

“Dumbledore has to say a bunch of boring things before the food will appear.”

“Makes sense,” Pandora says, right as she hears a clink on glass, the sound clearly magnified, as it echoes through the room.

She looks up to the teachers table and sees Dumbledore walk up to a small but tall desk made out of a tree. He stands in front of it, putting his wand to his throat.

“Dear students, welcome to another year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry” he says, his voice booming around the great hall. Those who were still talking have now quieted down and it’s completely silent except for the booming voice of the old headmaster. “I know you all must be hungry, but I have a few things to say first. For the first years and those who need a reminder, the forest near Hogwarts is forbidden and no one is allowed to enter it, if you do you will be punished and your parents will be owled. My next message is very important, so everyone listen very carefully: have a fun year with your friends. Now, everyone eat, food is served and we do not want it to get cold.”

As he walks back towards his seat, the tables fill with more food than Pandora has ever seen in her entire life. She quickly fills her plate with as many new and different things as she can. Pandora loves trying new things and food is not an exception. She has always loved how many different foods exist. She's sure it wouldn’t be possible to try all of it in one lifetime, but she’s bloody well gonna try.

As she eats, she chats with the people around her, getting a ton of new amazing friends. She’s sure that she’s going to have an amazing time here at Hogwarts, she already loves it so much and she’s barely been here an hour.

When everyone is done eating, Dumbledore tells the first years to follow their prefects who’ll show them their common rooms and dorms. Pandora finds the prefect, and with the other first year Ravenclaws they make their way through the castle.

“So this is Ravenclaw tower,” their prefect, Maddie she said her name was, informs them as they come to a spiral staircase. Everyone seems to mutter excitedly to each other as they walk up the stairs. When they get to the top, they all stand in front of a door, there’s no doorknob nor keyhole, but there’s a big bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Most of the first years seem to talk to each other confused, but Pandora has never and will never doubt magic, every time you do you just end up surprised. She knows she can always count on it.

Sure enough the bronze eagle-shaped knocker suddenly speaks “What gets wetter the more it dries?”

“It’s a riddle!” Pandora exclaims, for once not minding the weird looks she’s getting. She loves riddles. Hogwarts just gets better and better the more she learns about it.

“A towel,” Maddie says to the eagle and the door opens. Maddie then turns around. “Who said that?”

Everyone looks towards Pandora and she has a feeling that she did something she shouldn’t have by the way everyone looks at her. She slowly raises her hand and carefully says, “Me, I’m sorry I just–”

“No, no it’s quite alright,” the older girl says with a smile and Pandora quickly loosens up and returns the smile with a wide grin of her own. “What’s your name?”

“Pandora Rosier.”

“As Pandora said, you have to solve a riddle whenever you need to get into the Ravenclaw tower. Every house has a different way of entering their house's common room and this is ours.” Maddie says to the group, before turning around and walking in, the first years quickly follow her. Pandora turns to close the door, but it closes by itself as soon as everyone is inside.

When Pandora looks around, she’s in awe of what she sees. It’s big and round. She sees floor to roof windows on opposite sides of the room, only a few centimetres dividing each window from each other. Between them on one side are bookcases upon bookcases, with thousands of books, and Pandora wonders if she’ll ever have to go to the library. On the opposite side there’s a big fireplace, with couches and chairs around it. The rest of the room is littered in comfortable looking chairs, couches and tables as well. On each side of the fireplace there’s a door.

“As you can see by the fireplace there’s two doors, the one on the right is for the girls and the one on the left is for the boys. When you open the door you see a staircase in front of you and the boys will see a hallway on their left, the girls will see one on their right. The staircase goes up 7 levels, one for each year, the first level is for first years, the second for second years, and so on. In the hallway of your floor there’s a bunch of doors, beside them it says the name of whose dorm it is. So go ahead, find your dorm and sleep well.” Maddie explains and everyone moves to walk towards their dorm, when she quickly adds, “Oh one more thing, if you need help for anything, like anything at all, I’m always here to help and if you can’t find me or I’m occupied you can find the other prefect, his name is Jason. Now I’m done, so you can go find your dorms and get some early sleep, it’s going to be a long day tomorrow.”

Pandora walks towards the door leading to the girl's dorm with the others. When they walk in they see a staircase in front of them and a hallway on their right as Maddie said they would. Pandora makes her way down the hallway, checking the names beside each door until she finds hers three doors down. The door is already open, probably one of her dormmates was one of the girls in front of her.

When she gets into the room, she sees two girls spotting their beds and walking towards them. Pandora looks around, It’s a circular room like the common room, but of course smaller. There’s 5 beds with blue bed sheets and blue curtains that you can draw around the bed for privacy. In the middle there’s a circle of 5 desks. The room’s only colours seem to be blue and bronze, which Pandora knows are the house colours.

Pandora looks for her bag by the beds and when she finally spots it by the bed second closest to the door on her left side, she walks over to it and sits down. On top of her bed is Angel sleeping soundly already, she presses a quick kiss on top of her head, before looking up in search of her new dormmates. She sees two of them standing in the middle talking and she walks over to them.

“Hi, I’m Pandora Rosier,” she introduces as she stands beside them.

They both turn towards her with a smile, they have the same black hair and blue eyes.

“I’m Amy, and this is my twin sister Nicole,” one of them says.

“A twin? That’s so cool, but weird.”

“Why is it weird?” Nicole asks with a raised brow.

“Oh no, not like that. It’s just weird because we’re in a dorm together and I’m a twin too.”

“Okay, that is weird, but cool,” Amy says. “Who’s your twin?”

“His name is Evan, he’s in Slytherin though.”

“Oh yeah! I noticed him at the sorting,” Amy exclaims.

Another girl walks up to them, she has short flaming red hair and blue eyes. “Hi, I’m Melissa.”

“I’m happy to meet you, I’m Pandora Rosier. Can I call you Mel?”

Melissa laughs at that, it’s not a mean laugh though, but a good one. “Yeah, sure. I don’t mind nicknames.” Pandora smiles at that and Melissa sends her a smile back before the twins introduce themselves.

“Who’s that?” Pandora asks with a nod towards the last girl. She has long blonde hair and dark lashes that surround her blue-green eyes that look a bit like the globe. She’s honestly gorgeous, Pandora has never seen a girl like that.

Pandora turns back to the other girls, waiting for their answer, they all just shrug.

“She’s probably just shy,” Amy says. “I’m sure she’ll introduce herself when she wants to”

“Yeah, you’re probably right,” Pandora agrees, looking back at the girl. She hears the others talk, but tunes out what they’re saying as the girl catches her eyes and Pandora quickly looks away, returning to the conversation with her new friends.

Melissa seems to spot something behind Pandora. “Is that cat yours?!” she asks excitedly.

Pandora looks behind her to see Angel walk towards them. She picks her up before turning back around to the girls. “Yeah, she is. Her name is Angel, because she’s white like one.”

“Can we pet her?” Amy asks.

“Of course.”

The three girls come over and start petting Angel who’s lying comfortably in her arms before Angel jumps to the ground and walks back to Pandora’s bed. The girls laugh as they return to their conversation. They end up talking till well into the night before they realise how late it is and that they should probably go to bed.

Pandora walks over to her bed to see Angel taking up all the space. She’ll never understand how such a small creature can fill so much space. She moves her, which Angel is not happy about, but when Pandora lays down and Angel snuggles up to her, the cat seems to be alright with it. As Pandora lays in bed that night, trying to fall asleep, she thinks through the day. All in all it's been an incredible day and she’s really excited for what the next seven years has in store for her, she’s sure it’ll be just as amazing. With that thought she falls asleep with a smile on her face and butterflies in her stomach.

END NOTES:

I really hope you liked it!

I honestly don't have a lot to say after this, it's just the beginning so obviously I'll have more to talk about when we get further into the story. I have written until Christmas so that I hopefully won't get behind on posting. There'll be chapters out every friday, so it's gonna be a little "end of the week treat" for y'all.

Omg btw fun fact, I kept forgetting about Angel, so I had to go back and add her different places ahaha. Love her though and I hope to make her a big part of the story.

ALSO OMG! I absolutely loved when Pandora and Regulus met! Dw they'll be best friends, but I head canon that they actually annoyed each other a lot in the beginning and didn't bond until Christmas break first year!

Also x2, Evan and Pandora's sibling banter is so funny and there'll be a lot more of that. Love them sm!

Pandora, Evan and Dorcas being childhood best friends >>>

Also if a lot of the writing sounds like children, remember they are children. I have put a lot of focus on the dialogue sounding like 11 year olds.

Okay, I think that's all. Hope you enjoyed it and wanna stay for the rest.
