Hogwarts : The Bangtan Episode
Summary
Jungkook is a first year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Haunted by ghosts of his past, he struggles to meet friends and fit in until a ray of sunshine Slytherin, and a Hufflepuff with infinite hair colors step in. Throw in a genius (but people-stupid) Ravenclaw, a terrifying and maybe evil Slytherin who just wants to sleep, a Hufflepuff who is all fun and games until he tries to hurt you on the quidditch field, and a Prefect who's face lives up to it's name, and you've got yourself Jungkook's new life.I wonder what would happen if bad people started lurking and doing bad things around our beloved ragtag social project.Their ages are totally not accurate to book ages, so just make them older teens in your head.

The Ending.

“-yes Headmistress. That’s when I flew to Min's Manor and told Yoongi what was happening. Mr. and Mrs. Min didn’t see me. Yoongi told me to fly to the nearest Ministry hub and contact my father, and that he could apparate back on his own,” Namjoon explained, rubbing his arms. There was a small draft in the Headmistress’s office, and Namjoon wished they had let him change into warmer clothes before being rushed to speak with her.

“Mr.Min is a fifth year student.”

“He learned to apparate from his father while he was away. Illegally.”

Headmistress McGonagall took her spectacles off, and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Namjoon and her had been talking for over two hours now, trying to fill all gaps in her knowledge.

“And what,” She sighed. “What else do you think we missed, Mr.Kim?”

“Well, I thought about it, and. . . I think Junki was hexing you, the aurors, and Mr.Kim Seok Jung while he was here. That would explain Jin’s weird run in with him, and it’d explain your lack of awareness.” Namjoon didn’t want to say he thought she had simply turned a blind eye, so he chose to go with the safer and kinder guess. “I think he had the invisibility cloak.”

“Well, Mr.Kim, you are correct-” The Headmistress frowned. “While you were receiving medical attention, some of the aurors found his hiding spot in the castle. The Cloak of Invisibility was there, along with this-” She brought out a small velvet pouch. Carefully, she opened it and emptied the contents on her desk.

There were two long strips of white wood, dirty and wet with mud.

“Is that-” Namjoon’s eyes went wide.

“Yes Mr.Kim. The two halves of the Elder Wand. Mr.Min was trying to become the master of death.”

Namjoon leaned back in his chair, shocked. He knew Junki had plans, massive, evil plans, but this was beyond anything he could have imagined. If they hadn’t stopped him tonight, he would’ve possessed all three Deathly Hallows. He would’ve been unstoppable.

“Mr.Kim, you said that when you first heard Junki, you said he was looking for a map?” She asked, gently putting the wand bits away.

“Yes,” Namjoon replied. “I think that was before he knew Taehyung could find things. He might’ve been looking for the infamous Mauraders’ map. But, ma’am, I never understood this, but how does Taehyung know where all this stuff is? It’s just not plausible.”

The Headmistress smiled, crossing her arms gently and leaning back in her seat.

“Oh, Mr.Kim. A true Ravenclaw through and through. I think you would do wonderfully as a Prefect next year, and perhaps a Head Boy in the future.”

“Thank you?” Namjoon said.

“As for Mr.Kim Taehyung, he has the gift of magical foresight. For analytical wizards like you and I, it will never make sense. His gift is an untrainable and unpredictable one. We can only hope he uses it for good, unlike Mr.Min Junki.”

“I’ve been meaning to ask something about him too-” Namjoon said. “He almost had it all. Literally. He practically killed Jimin, Jin was no match, and Jungkook was out. He could’ve taken Tae and ran. Why did he waste his own time explaining everything to Jin Hyung?”

“Pride, Mr.Kim. Pride. Junki was too proud of himself. He’d escaped the unescapable. He infiltrated the most secure school. He found the wand and took the cloak. He had already won, so why not play with the fear of one of the few people who messed up your plans from the beginning? He was getting revenge for everything you boys put him through. I remember what he used to be like, back when he was a student. He has not changed. He was still the proud, stubborn, and arrogant boy that left here not too long ago. It pains me to know I failed him, and it came back to haunt me I suppose.”

“But it’s all over now? Isn’t it?” Namjoon asked, watching the Headmistress as she stood up and walked over towards a large phoenix who was sleeping. She gently flattened his feathers, and smiled lightly.

“It never is over Mr.Kim. You of all people should know that.”

“But what will happen to us?” Namjoon asked, his evident worry creeping in his tone. “The Medical Wing is destroyed. Jin’s brother is missing, Yoongi missed a ton of school, we’re illegal animagi, Jimin is almost dead, and no doubt, Jungkook is going to be so. . . uh, messed up from this? Sorry, I don’t know how to word it better.”

The Headmistress pursed her lips and glanced at a painting of Albus Dumbledore behind her. He gently smiled, giving her a slow thumbs up.

“The Medical Wing will be destroyed, and what happens to Seok Jung no longer concerns us. He will return when he feels ready. Mr.Min Yoongi can speak to me about his late work, not you Mr.Kim. Mr.Park is already in expert magical care, and if Mr.Jeon needs it, so shall he. As for you all being Animagi. . . it is forgotten.”

“What?”

“No one saw you. Your secret is safe till you are legal age, when I expect you to immediately register. Try not to get caught please.”

“But Headmistress, aren’t you-”

“Mr.Kim, help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it. ”

One Day Later

“How are you feeling about the OWLS next week?” Yoongi asked, skipping a rock across the lake. It jumped a few times, skidding across the water before sinking slowly.

“Scared,” Jin answered honestly. “How about you? You missed like, an entire year. You can’t possibly be ready for it, no offense.”

“Nah, none taken.” Yoongi debated throwing another stone, but settled on leaning back against the stone where he and Jin rested. “The Headmistress says I don’t have to take them, but I think I will.”

“Why?”

“I’ve been doing the work. Jimin brought me my homework sometimes. I read the books. Practiced it on plants and shit. I had a lot of free time locked in my room while I was gone.”

“Hmm,” Jin hummed, the wind blowing his hair into his face. “You won’t have to worry about that anymore.”

“Nope,” Yoongi chuckled. “Never will I be welcome back in that Manor.”

“Where are you going to go?”

“. . . I dunno.”

Jin sighed. He watched the waves roll and fall over the lake, and he wondered if Namjoon still came out here by himself. He knew the Ravenclaw had found this spot in the first place, but he doubted if Namjoon ever expected he’d have to share it with six other boys.

“I offered Namjoon to stay at my house over the summer, at least until things with his parents calm down. You could come too,” Jin said quietly. “Seok Jung won’t need his room, and we have a spare. I think my mom would love to meet you. She’d think of you as a hero. Probably want to interview you for a book.”

Jin saw Yoongi smirk from the corner of his eye, and he couldn’t hold back his own smile.

“I think that’d be nice. Better than staying in the Leaky Cauldron.”

“Merlin’s beard, yeah.”

The two boys fell silent again, and Jin watched Yoongi skip a rock perfectly. Yoongi absentmindedly ran his finger's over his eye scar, and Jin wondered if that would ever heal. Maybe he didn't want it to, because it did look kinda sick.

“You think Seok Jung is going to come back?” Yoongi asked out of the blue.

“. . . hard to say. He broke one of his cardinal rules. No Unforgivable curses.”

“He probably hates himself,” Yoongi hummed.

“Probably.”

“. . . he’ll come around. You’re all he has left.”

“Maybe,” Jin replied, not sure either way. They were quiet for a little longer, before Yoongi chuckled to himself.

“We really got fucked over this year, huh?”

“Yeah,” Jin smiled sadly. “It’s gonna be hard to forget this one.”

“Nah,” Yoongi said. “It’s already gone. Who’s Junki?”

Jin laughed, glad someone found light in everything.

“I’m so happy you’re back,” Jin said. “I missed you.”

“. . . me too Hyung.”

“Don’t get all soft on me now-” Jin said, gently punching Yoongi’s shoulder. “Where’s the tough little Slytherin Prefect who saved the day?”

“Oh quit it-” Yoongi laughed, nursing his shoulder. “I’m bruised there! And besides, don’t you have a toad choir to be rehearsing for?”

“Nah, I stepped down,” Jin chuckled. “When you left actually. Didn’t feel worth my time in the grand scheme.”

“I’m sorry,” Yoongi said. “I know you and Tae liked it.”

“It’s okay, we always have next year.”

“Yeah. Yeah we do.”

A shadow flitted over the water, followed by a falcon’s cry. Yoongi and Jin both glanced up to see the brown and white bird soaring above them, gliding in the breeze.

“That’s my signal,” Yoongi said, standing up and dusting his jeans off. “I’ll see you at dinner Hyung?”

The Slytherin held his hand out, and Jin smiled, taking it and standing up.

“Yeah, I’ll see you then.”

The End of the Year

The train rattled along the tracks, steam pouring from the chimney into the hot beginning of summer-air. The trill of the horn announced its arrival, and all the students rushed forward to load their belongings into the cars. A frantic and almost magical energy was in the air, electrifying everyone amidst their sad goodbyes and farewells.

“You’ll write, everyday. No exceptions!” Jin tutted, adjusting Hoseok’s collar and telling him off while they waited for the others.

“Yes Hyung, I know. I’ll use your owl,” Hoseok laughed, his heart-shaped smile fighting back Jin’s aggressive mothering.

“You can come visit whenever you want. Joon and Yoongi will be at my place all summer, or at least until we get Namjoon’s dad to calm down. He’s so close, Hobi, just a few more letters and he’ll be free to go home-”

“And we’ll all write congratulations when he does, now please Hyung, you’re so tight on my collar-”

“Hey!” Yoongi jogged to them, smiling as he pried Jin’s hands off of Hoseok’s collar. “Stop choking my boyfriend. That’s my job.”

“Ewww!” Jin screeched, jumping backwards and waving his hands. Hoseok and Yoongi laughed, but Jin knew they weren’t joking, thelittle freaks.

“What’s so gross?” Namjoon asked, sliding into their mini circle. He had his trunk behind him, covered in human stickers courtesy of Taehyung.

“We’re the only normal ones Joonie!” Jin sighed, leaning against his boyfriend. “Us and Tae. That’s it.”

“Come on, Jungkook and Jimin aren’t that bad,” Hoseok said, and everyone was silent for a minute.

They all broke out into laughter, because Jungkook and Jimin were that bad.

“What’s so funny?” Taehyung asked, popping up behind Yoongi’s shoulder. The Slytherin smiled and let him slide in closer, a fond look on his face.

“Nothing much, just Jungkook and Jimin are probably off snogging again in some closet,” Yoongi said.

“Ah,” Taehyung replied. “Well, it’s not Jungkook’s fault. Jimin is extra pretty now that he’s got even more perfect-er skin and hair. And his teeth are cool.”

“No, Jungkook just has a biting kink, and he thinks Jimin’s hot shit because he basically died and came back to life,” Hoseok said while rolling his eyes.

“Speaking of which,” Jin said. “Namjoon, did you speak to the Headmistress about the vampire inclusion group you wanted to make next year for Jimin? We all agreed we’d join.”

“Oh, yeah, she said it’d be totally possible and it was time to have one anyway. Turns out a few more vampires want to attend, and now that they have Jimin as kind of a spokesperson it should be-”

“GUYS!” Jungkook and Jimin suddenly burst into the circle, breathing heavily. The youngest’s glasses that he rarely wore dangled from his nose and his face was beet red, unlike Jimin’s which was perfect. He had a faint shimmer of sweat, but other than that, he looked flawless. Perks of being a vampire, Jin figured.

“ARE WE LATE?”

“Nope,” Namjoon said boredly, disappointed he was interrupted again. “The train is still, right in front of you.”

“Oh-” Jimin giggled. “Sorry, Kookie and I got distracted.”

“That’s one way to put it-” Hoseok whispered to Jin, gesturing towards Jungkook’s neck which was littered in hickies. The youngest noticed and popped his collar up, trying to hide it, but his dark blush gave it away.

“Why are you blushing so hard Kook?” Taehyung teased.

“Nothing,” Jungkook muttered, moving to stand next to Namjoon who would hopefully protect him. Jimin bounced next to him, unashamed of his artwork. He’d never have to worry about receiving any, because for him, having a hickey was impossible. He was definitely sad and horrified to be what he was, but at least it came with perks. No hickies, nice skin, good hair, longer life span, strength, etc. Jimin would be just fine with eating a blood popsicle from the hospital every few days.

“So, how are we feeling?” Hoseok asked, changing the subject. “Tests are done, the Headmistress turned a blind eye, we all have places to go this summer. Sounds like a great ending.”

“You know, I can’t wait for next year,” Jungkook said.

“And the year after that!” Taehyung added.

“And the year after that, because then Hyung and I can get the fuck out of here-” Yoongi said, but was interrupted when Hoseok elbowed him in the stomach.

“I agree though,” Namjoon said. “The next two years are going to be awesome.”

“I mean, it can’t really get worse, can it? We can only get better,” Jin said.

“Yeah,” Jimin smiled, squeezing Jungkook’s hand. “All will be well.”
