Hogwarts : The Bangtan Episode
Summary
Jungkook is a first year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Haunted by ghosts of his past, he struggles to meet friends and fit in until a ray of sunshine Slytherin, and a Hufflepuff with infinite hair colors step in. Throw in a genius (but people-stupid) Ravenclaw, a terrifying and maybe evil Slytherin who just wants to sleep, a Hufflepuff who is all fun and games until he tries to hurt you on the quidditch field, and a Prefect who's face lives up to it's name, and you've got yourself Jungkook's new life.I wonder what would happen if bad people started lurking and doing bad things around our beloved ragtag social project.Their ages are totally not accurate to book ages, so just make them older teens in your head.

Kim Seokjin and Shopping Shit

It may have been February 13th, but there still was ankle deep snow on the path to Hogsmeade for Jin to step through. He pulled his fur lined cloak closer to his chest, trying to block out the cold wind hitting him. Jimin shivered next to him, whining to Hoseok about how cold his ears were.

“Jiminie, we’re almost there. Gladrags is just around the corner,” Hoseok chuckled, letting Jimin latch onto him for warmth. Jin couldn’t help but watch with a fond smile, finding the little Slytherin to be cute.

Not that cute and Slytherin often were in the same sentence, but Jimin was an exception. No doubt, he could probably drag Jin’s ass across the castle if they ever got in a fight, but he still loved the little Slytherin. He had a temper for sure, but it rarely came out. He was such a gentle and loving soul, and he reminded Jin a lot of his mother.

Not that they would get along though.

When Jin went home with Seok Jung, he had plenty of time to tell her everything about his life. They talked about his classes, friends, hobbies, quite literally everything under the sun. She was ecstatic to hear that he and Hoseok were in a bigger friend group, even if she didn’t approve of all of its members. She smiled when Jin described Taehyung and Jungkook, making a small comment about how nice they must be. She teased him a little at his description of Namjoon, which Jin chose to ignore. But it was when she stayed silent about Jimin and Yoongi that made Jin a little worried.

“What’s wrong with Jimin and Yoongi?” He remembered asking, to which she pursed her lips.

“Well honey, they-”

“Not all Slytherins are evil, I-”

“No Jinnie. It’s not that. I’m sure they’re lovely boys, but they just. . . well, their lineage will bring problems.”

“Problems?” Jin would be lying if he said he didn’t feel a little hurt at his mother’s comment.

“I’ve worked with Jimin’s father before, on a piece about Veela connections. Nice man, but. . . I am surprised he wasn’t in Slytherin.”

“What do you mean?”

“The Parks have a long standing history of being in and out of green and yellow. They walk the line between two very different houses, and more often than not, they show remarkable traits from both. But the problem is that they often show the uglier sides of the two houses as well. Evil greed and listless following are not great combinations. If Jimin is anything like his father and family, well. . . then it’s in your best interest to watch where his loyalties lie.”

“But. . . but he’s part of our little family.”

“As of now, yes. Maybe in the future, when times get rough and he’s offered better elsewhere, you should expect him to leave. Don’t count on him to stay when he’s loyal to himself. Same with the Min boy. Not to crush your perception of your friends, but the Mins are some of the worst people in the wizarding world. A nasty pair those two are, and their eldest son even more so. Be careful Jinnie.”

She had hugged him and moved on, talking about whatever else she deemed worth their time. Jin didn’t hear anything else she said. He loved his friends, and they’d shown nothing but loyalty and support since he’d met them, but it was hard not to listen to his mother. If he’d ask his father, he’d probably say the same things, which didn’t help Jin’s confusion.

Yoongi had deserted them, just as his mother said he would. And Jimin? Was he next?

Hoseok opened Gladrags’ door for them, and Jin was brought back to the present. Jimin giggled, rushing ahead to look at the dress robes. Jin followed, brushing snowflakes off his cloak and trying to wipe the frown off his face.

“You okay?” Hoseok whispered.

“Yeah. . . just, uh, thinking of some stuff my mother said.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll find some nice robes for tomorrow. She needs to have more trust in our last minute shopping!” Hoseok smiled, assuming Jin was referring to their sudden shopping spree.

“Haha, yeah,” He mustered, moving to the nearest rack of robes. “I’m sure we’ll find something.”

“It better be more than something. You’re going to be with Namjoon,” Hoseok said, wiggling his eyebrows.

“Oh, shut it-” Jin smiled, shoving Hoseok’s arm. “It’s not like he actually asked me out. It’s just so we can do our fire thing.”

“Pfff,” Jimin scoffed from behind a rack. “Never have I heard such bullshit from a Gryffindor, and I hang out with Jungkook.”

“Hey now! I’m your Hyung, don’t start-”

“It’s true Hyung,” Hoseok giggled. “Namjoon jumped at the first chance to pair us all up. We don’t really need to go with people to the dance. Like me, I’m going alone.”

“I thought that was just because you’re cock-blocking yourself now that Yoongi’s gone,” Jimin said, rummaging through hangers.

“Hey, this is about Jin Hyung, not me!”

“Whatever you say. You two just need to man up and go for it. Jin Hyung can tomorrow night, and Hobi Hyung, you can stay and talk to Yoongi alone after our fire chat. Just tell them how you feel and get the dick you two so obviously need.”

Jin narrowed his eyes at Jimin’s casual dig.

“Ungrateful and rude brat-” Hoseok mumbled, walking over and smacking Jimin on the back of the head. “What do you even know about all this relationship stuff? You’re just a measly little second year.”

“Yeah, a measly little second year who’s been around. You guys know my reputation. If any of us should be relationship guides because of experience, it’s me.”

“Your whoring experience doesn’t mean you’re any good at relationships,” Jin said with a laugh.

“What? You doubt my ability?!” Jimin gasped, popping up behind a rack a little ways away. Jin and Hoseok held back giggles at the funny sight.

“I’ll show you,” Jimin grumbled.

“Easy there tiger,” Hoseok picked Jimin up, and set him down near them. “We don’t doubt the mighty veela abilities.”

“We doubt that you can help us attract the plain and simple Namjoon and Yoongi,” Jin said, flattening Jimin’s hair where it had fluffed up. “We both know you’re more than capable of finding suitors.”

*Hmph*” Jimin grumbled.

“Come on Jiminie, let’s find you some robes. We can’t have Jungkook outshine you, that’d be embarrassing,” Jin said. Jimin made a weird face at the mention of Jungkook’s name.

“Jungkook couldn’t outshine me even if I was wearing a paper bag.”

“I think if you were only wearing a paper bag, then we’d have to get you security,” Hoseok teased.

“Damn right,” Jimin said with a smile. “What about this one?” He held up a black robe with a lacey white collar.

“Well, it’s traditional, but I don’t think it screams ‘you’, you know? Maybe try more color-” Hoseok grabbed a dark brown cloak, with white trim. “How about this?”

“And look like a literal shit stain? No, he will not,” Jin answered for Jimin.

Hoseok held up a dark ash gray one with off-white cuffs.

“Too. . . grandma’s couch cushions.”

He held up another cloak, this time a deep green.

“It’s giving a bed of moss, but not in a cute cottage-core way.”

Hoseok held up a few more.

“Too dirty sponge in the kitchen sink.”

“Why does it look like a shag rug? Who would want that?”

“Hoseok, it’s a Valentine’s Day dance, not a 1600s court date.”

“My dead grandfather wouldn’t even wear that.”

“WELL THEN YOU TRY!” Hoseok exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. “I give up! I can’t dress Jimin! I’m a quidditch player not a fucking personal shopper!”

“Move aside,” Jin pushed Hoseok into a nearby chair. “Let Hyung help.”

Jin eyed the long racks of clothes, then glanced back at Jimin. His blonde hair and fair skin weren’t easy to work with, too many of these dark cloaks would drain his skin of all color. He’d have to stick to something lighter, more modern and clean cut to match the boy’s attitude. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a light blue, and he snatched the robe off the rack. It reminded him of the Beauxbaton’s uniforms, which was perfect for Jimin. He embodied that school, even if he didn’t attend.

Jin held it up and smiled. It was perfect. It had a slim cut, one that would highlight Jimin’s thin waist and petite shoulders. It was by no means a traditional color, but it was silky and professional looking, just how they needed it.

“How about this?” Jin asked, and both boys turned to look. Jimin gasped, running over and feeling the fabric with stars in his eyes.

Oh Hyung, it’s beautiful-” He whispered, unable to look away.

“Of course you find the perfect thing in like, two minutes,” Hoseok huffed. “Screw you Hyung.”

“Don’t worry Hobi, I’ll get you something cute too.”

“Whatever man,” Hoseok mumbled, returning to his seat. Hoseok was a great sport, always patient and kind, but shopping tended to bring out the worst in him. Sure, he loved clothes and looking good, but he couldn’t hold a candle to Jin’s skills in a store.

It only took him ten minutes to find perfect outfits for both of them. He found a rather dashing dark pine colored robe with satin cuffs and a collar for Hoseok that complimented his hair. The Hufflepuff wouldn’t admit that the idea of wearing green made him happy, so Jin didn’t comment. For himself, Jin went with a navy robe, one so dark it was almost black. He could barely tell it wasn’t black, but when he stepped into the light, the whole piece lit up. It had delicate lace under the cuffs and lapels, not too gaudy, but classy enough Jin wouldn’t feel underdressed.

“You picked blue on purpose, didn’t you,” Hoseok said with a shit eating grin.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jin replied. He was going to say more, but the cashier asked Hoseok something and ended their conversation. While waiting for Hoseok to finish, Jin noticed Jimin waiting by the door, watching a group of teens outside the shop. They were talking amongst themselves, walking by to probably head to the tea shop. Jin recognized Solar in the front, and he felt himself frown.

“What is it?” Hoseok asked.

“Nothing, just Solar’s group.”

“Skank.”

“Hey now, just because you got in a spit with her in the hall-”

“She called me a flaming pervert, I can call her whatever I want,” Hoseok said smugly. “Plus, she tried to hurt Yoongi. We are enemies.”

Jin laughed lightly, pretending to hold Hoseok back.

“Woah there boy, easy, easy!”

“Oh shut up,” Hoseok rolled his eyes. “Hyung, you’d be the same way if she came after Joon, so I don’t wanna hear it.”

“Probably, but why’s Jimin watching them?”

“I dunno, he’s probably making sure they don’t come in here. Come on Hyung, let’s get out of here.”
