The infirmary
Regulus black woke up to blinding white lights.
He groaned loudly as his eyes tried to adjust
"Reggie?"
He heard a voice beside him sigh In relief.
He hoped it was relief anyway, maybe it was a sigh of sadness that he was awake.
"Thank merlin your awake reg madame pomfrey said you might n-not make it," he knew that familiar voice crack anywhere.
Sirius.
He at up and immediately regretted it as his side seared with pain, sirius reached forward nervously trying to steady him but he waved away his hand.
He stood with some difficulty, he had to get out of here,
"Right well thanks and all sirius bur I think I'll be fine from here." He started to walk away as he heard sirius start to protest.
"REGULUS BLACK GET IN THAT BED NOW! YOU ARE IN NO CONDOTION TO BE OUT OF BED!"
a shrill voice behind him called, and he limped heavily back to the bed as quickly as possible.
"A-ah sorry poppy I was jus-" he started.
"No. No justs regulus. You are seriously hurt and need immediate treatment."
He almost starts to protest when sirius cuts in again,
"Wait a second, you called her poppy. Why would you be on first name basis with the infirmary nurse?
Uh oh.
What was he to say now?
The truth was that he had been here so many times after coming back to hogwarts from home, that poppy had made it a rule that he visit the infirmary after every holiday for a checkup. Eventually she realised about his mother and she wanted to help, but he told her he was handling it.
Biggest lie he ever said.
Anyway he supposes the first name thing just happened from being here so much.
But he couldn't tell sirius that for obvious reasons.
" I-I do-"
But before he could weave some lie into his story the infirmary door crashed open once again this time revealing a long haired pale skinned girl who looked on the verge of tears.
Pandora.
"Shit reg what happened? I was picking you up from detention when I bump into slughorn who says you disappeared and I didn't know where you went so I searched the entire of the common rooms and then went to see your brother but his friends said you got into an incident in detention and was in the infirmary so I ran the whole way here and I was do worried reg. What happened to you?"
Tears were streaming down her face now and regulus held out his arms for a hug she gladly accepted.
He felt so bad for making her worry about something so insignificant.
"Don't worry dora the explorer it was just a scratch. Are you OK?"
He replies softly as not to scare her.
She gives him a nod of confirmation before speaking up once again,
"I feel so stupid for making this all about me- wait a second did you called me dora the explorer?"
"Yeah I mean panDORA the explorer. I think it's cute"
They stare at eachother for exactly 3 seconds before erupting into fits of giggles.
But they were still OK.
They were still together.
