It was finally February and after the British Women's Open, Aoi couldnt stop thinking about Eve. Almost everyday, she always look for her to just simply golf or hang out. Since valentine's day is coming, Aoi thought she could have a 'friendly date' with Eve.
The day before Valentines she went back to Nafrece to just see Eve.
"Eve!" Aoi yelled as she ran towards Eve for a hug after she left the plane
Obviously, Eve swiftly avoided the hug
"Welcome back." Eve replied with that smirk
"Why did you dodge my hug." Aoi pouted at her.
"Er. I dont know." Eve sighed while she turns around. "Lets go"
Aoi watched her. The way Eve's hair sway when she turned around made Aoi's heart beat alot. She clutched her chest. She doesnt know why but she shrugged it off and followed Eve out of the airport. Unfortunately, the annoyed Amane witnessed all of this.
"Hey-! Aoi where are you going?" Amane replied but she was ignored.
"Eve, can we go there?" Aoi asked with a cute smile.
"Hm? Oh yeah sure-" Eve replied but she was cut off.
"Absolutely not. You've just arrived at Nafrece. You need to rest Aoi. i already booked hotel for the both of us" Amane said.
"But Amane-!!" Aoi tried her best to make an excuse but failed. After all she only went to Nafrece for Eve but Amane didnt know that.
Eve watched them argue for a while when Aoi suddenly grabbed Eve's wrist and dragged her away.
"See you at the hotel Amane!" Aoi said with a cheeky smile.
Both girls left Amane outside of the airport
"Wait! Aoi you cant just-!" They were already gone.
After a while Eve stopped and pulled away from Aoi's grasp
"Wait Aoi. Where are you taking me?" Eve asked.
Aoi stops. She thinks for a while before replying with;
"Actually.. i dont know. But its fun just walking beside you even though we dont know where to go." Aoi smiled.
"Then lets go to all-you-can-eat-burger!" Eve grinned before walking again.
But something about Aoi's response and her smile made Eve's heart ache? Beat? Well whatever it is she just brushed it off because her main focus right now is the burgers.
They both walked until they found that all you-can-eat-burgers. Eve ran straight inside and immediately ordered a bunch of burgers.
"Geez Eve. You really are glutton" Aoi sighed and sat on a chair while Eve sat on the opposite side.
"Oh man i cant wait to taste the burgers!" Eve said
"Hey are you ignoring me?!" Aoi pouted.
After a while they got the burgers and chatted for the whole time. Their table was filled with cheery and laughing voices.
They were in the shop for so long that Amane started calling Aoi.
"Moshi Moshi-"
"Aoi! Its been 3 hours where have you been?!" Amane's voice suddenly spoke up at the other end of the line.
"Ive been with Eve the whole time. Dont worry." Aoi replied
Eve watched them while eating a burger she ordered again.
"You have to return to the hotel now. No excuses." Amane quickly ended the call before Aoi could speak back
"Awwh.. what a shame." Aoi sighed before looking back at Eve.
Eve was staring at Aoi the whole time. They stare at eachother for a period of time before Aoi gets flustered and said;
"Shall we go now? We can always hang out tomorrow." Aoi looked away and stood up
"Hm? Sure." Eve replied and also stood up.
They both leave the shop and Eve helped Aoi walk back to her hotel. Aoi held Eve's hand on the way, Eve didnt mind it and just kept walking with her.
As they finally reach the hotel, Aoi stopped holding Eve's hand and looked at her. Eve wanted to hold her hand back but she resisted.
"Eve. Thank you for today" Aoi smiled.
"Oh. Yeah no problem." Eve replied before turning to leave.
"Wait Eve. Lets have a date tomorrow. For valentines day." Aoi said. Her heart started to beat very fast as she wait for Eve's answer.
"Sure" Eve said with a laid back voice alongside with a wink
"Eh-? Really?!!" Aoi said cheerfully
"Of course. As long as theres food!" Eve grinned mischievously before finally walking away.
Aoi couldnt believe it. A date with Eve? Something about it made Aoi's face get flustered. Its only a 'friendly' date after all. Or did she even say that?
"..Aoi.. what is the meaning of this?" Amane's voice suddenly echoed behind Aoi's back.
"Huh-..? Im gonna have a date with Eve.." Aoi was currently speechless about this mess.
"Do you even know what that means?" Amane was getting mad but just sighed at Aoi.
"An occasion?" Aoi replied innocently.
Amane sighed once again. Aoi was a naive person after all.
After that Aoi couldnt sleep at all when she successfully asked Eve on a date. I mean- what will Aoi do in those hours? It cant be awkward anyways since she's known Eve for years now. But its a date and its making Aoi get flustered for somehow. Valentine's day and a date isnt all about romance, right?
Aoi finally fell asleep after hours of thinking about the situation.
Meanwhile, Eve was also thinking about the events tomorrow.
"Huh... Valentine's day.. " Eve mumbled to herself.
Normally, she wouldnt care about these type of events but something about it made her actually care. Eve only knew that valentines day was only romance and hearts.
But when it comes to Aoi, she might even consider buying gifts just for her. Eve wanted to see that cute innocent smile of hers and tease her about it.
The next day, Eve woke up very early today. It was extremely unsual of her. She quickly showered and wore some clothes before leaving the apartment and walking on the streets to buy some flowers and gifts for Aoi.
She only bought them because Eve thought Aoi was into these kind of stuff. It doesnt mean anything to her anyways...
After buying some gifts she went to the hotel Aoi was staying in. She knocked on the door
"Yo Aoi!" Eve yelled while banging on the door.
"Eve-?! Ah just wait a moment!" Aoi replied back.
But without a warning, Eve just went in.
"Eve! You cant just barge in-!" Aoi said.
"Happy valen-.. i forgot. But look what i got you!" Eve said as she holds out the gifts she got for Aoi.
Aoi was brushing her hair, she stops and looked at Eve with a suprised expression and then excited.
"Oh Eve! Your too thoughtful." Aoi said shyly as she stands up to get the gifts. Especially the sweets.
"Heh. Too easy." Eve mumbled to herself as she watch Aoi get mesmerized by the gifts.
Aoi set the gifts aside since she needed to get ready for the 'date' with Eve. Eve waited while eating some chocolates she got for Aoi.
"Eve your eating my chocolates!" Aoi pouted as she tries to get the chocolates back.
"Not a chance!" Eve chuckled as she raised the chocolates out of Aoi's reach. Both of them were so close together.
"Evee!! You jerkk-.. oump!" Eve inserted a chocolate in Aoi's mouth.
Aoi was in shocked before chewing the chocolate and swallowing it.
"Thats so delicious" Aoi joyfully said
"Im glad you liked it." Eve smirked and tried eating another piece but Aoi snatched it away
"Your gonna empty the whole box." Aoi said as she quickly hides the chocolate. Eve's laugh can be heard from behind.
After a while they both leave the hotel and started walking around the streets.
"Valentines day in Nafrece is so lively than Japan" Aoi said while she looks around in the city.
Eve just followed her before looking down at her while walking. Her eyes quickly fell down to Aoi's hand. She wanted to hold it like before. So she did. She wrapped her hand around Aoi's small hand.
"Eve..?" Aoi curiously asked.
"You've got small hands" Eve replied with a smirk.
"Ehh.. they're not that small!!" Aoi pouted.
"Yes they are. They're small just like you." She chuckled.
"Im only two inch shorter than you!" Aoi mope. Eve suddenly patted her head.
"..small." Eve mumbled. Her gaze was fixated to Aoi. Never leaving the whole time they walked. Eve was also in deep thought.
While looking at the girl, she thought about the relationship between them.
"Eve stop staring at me." Aoi said, with a hint of anger in her voice
"Gosh what a dayy!" Eve whistled
Aoi sighed as she gets ignored again by Eve. She looked at her hand that Eve was holding. She gets flustered and looked away before Eve notices anything and teases her about it.
Meanwhile with Eve, her heart was beating fast for somehow. She was looking around at shops and resturants and then Aoi. She really cant keep her eyes off of her. Eventually she spotted a sign. 'FREE SMOOTHIES FOR PARTNERS!'
Eve looked at it for a while. I mean, her partner is Aoi right? Since she wanted to have a date with her so that means they're partners..? Well whatever works Eve isnt gonna let a free food pass!
"Aoi lets go there." Eve quickly dragged Aoi to the shop
"Eh? Where?" Aoi followed her. Their hands still holding eachother.
They go in and sat on the table. Both of them got a menu and picked out the foods. Eve ordered a ton food as just as Aoi ordered alot of sweets.
Both of them chatted while they wait for their orders. When it came Eve asked for the smoothies.
"Hey lady, where can i get the free drink?" Eve asked
"Oh! Do you mean our special deal for couples?" The waitress replied
Aoi was in shock after hearing that. Couples? What did Eve mean by that? Are they both couples now?!
"Yeah that one" Eve grinned
"How lovely! Both of you are couples?" The waitress asked
Aoi was now getting flustered
"E-Eve..-!" Aoi tried to speak to Eve
"Yup. We are." Eve stated confidently as she winked at Aoi.
Poor Aoi didnt understand it. Was Eve flirting with her? Are they a couple noww?!!
"Okay just wait a few minutes please" the waitress said before leaving
"Eve what was that?!" Aoi quickly asked her face was still flustered
"Hmm? What was what?" Eve naively said
Aoi got even more flustered
"Your so red! I like seeing you like this." Eve smirked
"No ignore that! Why did you tell the lady that we are couples." Aoi curiously asked
"For the free smoothies" Eve pointed at the sign, Aoi's gaze followed it.
"Phew.. its only for the smoothies right? No other meaning?" Aoi shyly asked
"Yeaah." Eve replied. They stare at eachother for a while.
The waitress came then got the smoothies for both of them. But the waitress asked them if she could first take a picture of Eve and Aoi for getting the smoothies.
"Fine." Eve groaned before standing up to take a picture with Aoi. Both of them are holding the smoothie when Eve suddenly sneaked her arm around Aoi's waist.
"Happy valentines!" The waitress said before taking a picture and giving it to them.
Eve grabbed it
"I look good" Eve said as she looks at the picture
Aoi looked at it too. The way Eve wrapped her arm around her waist was so perfect.. but it couldnt mean anything right?! Its only for the smoothies. Plus. Eve doesnt look like the type of girl to romance..
The day goes on as both of them hanged around the city whilst Eve showing the cool views she found on her free time.
Eventually sunset rolls in and Aoi unfortunately had to go.
"Thank you Eve for today." Aoi smiled.
"Er. No problem thank you for the foods too!" Eve retorted
"Gosh your still thinking about foods? You never change huh." Aoi sighed and then smiled again.
"Yeah yeah Goodbye for now." Eve left and so Aoi too.
Emotions suddenly rushed into Aoi's heart was it lingering for Eve's presence again?
