Harry's shoulder was shove away. It felt hot. Too hot. He's loosing his breath and he knows he's loosing his time too.
"I- I can love you..." Draco said breathlessly. The words are fragile. His skin is sweaty and damp. He wanted to run away. To be free from this hell. He could feel the needles in his body. In his chest. In his heart. God he wish it wasn't what love felt like.
But it is.
Harry grab a hold of him. Hugging him tight as his breath was taken out of it. "No." He whispered. "Not now draco" he try. "please." He choked. He couldn't do this.
Their hand intertwined but that only make it worse. Draco's blood boil. He yank it away as if he were allergic to Harry's touch. And he is. Because every time. Every goddamn time. He would get stab by these needles. And It hurts. he didn't wants it. But God he loves it. He loves it every single time. So he cry.
Hot steaming tears falling to his pale cheek. His turning red eyes hold so much contrast over his sickly white skin.
Draco try. And obviously he didn't try enough. He grimace. The tears. It's too much. He couldn't talk. The only weapon he hold. The only mean of communication. And he failed that either.
Harry try again. And obviously he didn't try enough.
The dark skin try to touch the pale one. An attempt at desperate comfort. Their touch burn.
Obviously, they both didn't try enough.
Since when do they ever be enough?
"And...and I can- I can want you!" Harry didn't like this. It's agonizing. It's suffocating. So he reaches out.
"And still..." Draco chuckled. A painful one that is delivered with a cough. The air is intoxicating. Their love... Was never meant to breath on right? A pure mindless one. That only serve to hurt.
"And still not want that life."
and Harry's hand slowly fall back down.
His voice didn't shook. Nor did he choke. His red burning eyes looking into the green eyes. It was... A fair contrast. It's beautiful. Maybe he should cry more. So he could fit better. Draco smile.
"I'm allowed." He breathes out.
And Harry realize. In a universe where he and Draco have the same blood type, If Harry is in the ICU and in need of a blood transfusion, Draco definitely won't give it. Because he would be a family. Nothing more. Nothing less. And how he wish he didn't have family.
