That was an acceptable answer. It was callous, and disinterested, and a strikingly blatant demonstration of an undeniable fact, one that troubled Tom far more than it had any right: Harry was a part of him. They were the same person, raised through different circumstances, but still pieces of the same whole. It was terribly satisfying knowledge, but jarring. Rather like looking at his reflection in a distorted mirror.
