There was something…soft, on Rodion’s forehead. Something gentle, as if she were fragile. Someone was talking to her, something about getting up somewhere. Rodion groaned as she turned away, wanting more time to sleep. The person was persistent, Rodion feeling some of her hair being moved and a soft voice in her ear.
“Rodion, I know you’re awake.”
Oh. It’s just Ishmael. Rodion giggled, her face scrunched up as her girlfriend peppered his face with kisses as a way to force her to wake up. She wrapped her arms around Ishmael’s shoulders, the two giggling into the kiss for what felt like hours. Unfortunately, Ishmael pulled away, her thumb gently running Rodion’s lips and smiled. “Now you wanna wake up?”
Rodya giggled, stretching her arms behind her head, feeling Ishmael press a kiss into the crook of her neck. “Mmm, not my fault you’re the early bird ishy… now whatcha wake me up for? We just kissin’ and cuddling all day?” Ishmael shook her head, raising her head from Rodya's neck, opting to move some of the hair around her face.
“Get dressed. I have plans for us, and kissing will make us behind schedule. Now get up, put on something nice.”
“Nice as in showing off my chest or nice as in comfortable?”
Ishmael took a second to think, before nodding her head. “Fancy restaurant outfit, nice. Wear the dress I got you.”
Rodion raised a brow, a blush growing on her cheeks as she finally sat up. “You got me a dress?”
With a nod, Ishmael walked towards their shared closet, revealing a wine red dress with golden accents. It was fitted with a sweetheart neckline. Rodion’s eyes must have been wide as saucers, watching Ishmael chuckle before placing it in her hands. “Ishy, babe, this is…”
Ishmael chuckled, pressing a kiss to Rodion’s cheek. “Get dressed.” Rodion nodded, watching her girlfriend step out the room to give her some privacy.
Rodion smiled, admiring the dress’s sewing and detail. She slowly stood up before walking to their shared bathroom, preparing for a hot shower.

Slipping into the dress, it fit better than she expected. It was fitted enough for it to show off her figure and loose enough to be breathable. One look in the mirror made her feel like she was made of luxury, even with a bareface and her hair still needing to be brushed. But it was a gift from Ishmael; of course it would make her feel beautiful. Ishmael never let her forget how pretty she was at all times. Whether she be put together in full glam or fast asleep as she dreams. She sat in front of her vanity desk, it being perfectly organized with all of her favorite products. “Restauraunt Nice” was what Ishmael suggested, so Rodya decided to keep her makeup simple. No over the top looks, nothing that would take too long. Ishmael always hated being thrown off her schedules.
Around 20 minutes later, as she was finishing brushing her hair, the bedroom door creaked open. Rodya turned her head, her face feeling hot as she blushed. Ishmael was dressed in a white button up with her sleeves rolled to her elbows. Across her shoulders was a suit jacket, held by a golden chain. Her long wild hair in a high ponytail, wrapped in that familiar rope she’s had since Rodya knew her.
Ishmael chuckled, seeing Rodion admire her before coming closer. Wrapping her arms around Rodion in a tender hug and pressing her face in the crook of her neck. Rodion giggled, placing a kiss on her girlfriend's cheek.
“Ishy, babe, you can’t be hugging me like this…”
“Hm? Why not? You’re my girlfriend.”
Rodion chuckled, letting out a sigh. “Because then we’ll be late to the restaurant. You haaaate being late…”
Ishmael hummed, turning her head to press her lips to Rodya’s, moving her hand to hold hers. “I do, yeah…”
“Besides, I got something else for you.”
Rodion shook her head, moving to reapply her lip gloss. “You keep getting me this, i’ll start thinking you reeeeally like me.”
Her girlfriend rolled her eyes. “Wait here.” She said, before diving into the closet again, pulling out two small boxes. She placed them in Rodion’s hands, gesturing for the brunette to open them.
The first box had a pair of earrings; simple dangling earrings that were shaped in a heart, along with an ear cuff attached to one of them. It was lightweight, Rodion picking it up to admire it properly. She couldn’t hide the smile on her face and the sparkle in her eyes even if she tried and seeing her so happy made Ishmael happy in turn.
Ishmael gestured to the other box which was slightly larger, wrapped in a delicate ribbon. Rodion took a deep breath, unraveling the ribbon before opening the box. It was a simple rose golden necklace, her birthstone of Garnet shaped like a heart.
She gestured for Rodion to move her hair to let her put the necklace on for her. Rodion did just that, watching as Ishmael tenderly wrapped it around her neck, grinning from ear to ear. It was gorgeous. She felt beautiful.
She felt special.
Ishmaels arms wrapped around her again, watching Rodion’s face and smiling. “Well? What do you think?”
“I think we'll be late if you let me kiss you again, Ishy.”
The two chuckled, Ishmael letting Rodion go as she finally finished styling her hair. Ishmael watched as her girlfriend finished getting ready. She kept her hair in her usual down style, grabbing her jacket before standing up. Ishmael tilted her head, whistling seeing her girlfriend stand up.
She offered Rodion her hand, and with a smile, the two were out the door.
