The Start...
The next time Remus saw Sirius was at least 2 weeks since he met him at the Tattoo parlor, and it was in class.
Remus' day was going smoothly, Jack was in class from the early morning so he had free time to himself until he went to his historical fiction class.
Half way through the doors burst open and a figure comes in wearing an Easter bunny mask, he's holding a long cylinder and pops it. It makes a huge noise, some people screaming but as the figure goes to make his exit, he lingers, looking at someone.
Remus thought for half a second he was looking at him until the smell hits him and he moves out of his seat with the other students.
The teacher is shouting and the class is leaving in suck a rush. Remus breathes heavy as he is pushed around by the people around him. He feels unsteady, longing for Jack to come and keep him upright.
All the students go straight down the corridor but Remus turns once he sees a lone classroom on the right. He gets in and closes the door as fast as he can. He gets out his phone wanting to call Jack-
"Hello, again, Remus-"
Remus whips his head up, seeing Sirius sitting cross legged on a table.
"Sirius? What are you-" Remus sees the bunny mask. "You're going to get in so much trouble."
"No one knows it was me, except you." Sirius smiles with all his teeth. If he didn't have tattoos, he would've looked like a trouble-making child.
Remus, of course, wasn't going to tell anyone but he did like holding that as a threat. Although, Sirius didn't look like he cared.
Remus turned to leave-
"Why do you have a limp?"
"Why do you have such an ego?" Remus retorted. Sirius threw his head back and laughed.
"How did you meet Jack?" Sirius kept going. Remus didn't want to answer anything, but he did.
"How did you get into the school when you're not a student?" Remus asked. It came out of his mouth before he could help it. Remus didn't actually know if this was true, but from being a tattoo artist and Jack telling him about a boy with tattoos getting kicked off campus because he wasn't a student but pretended to be. Remus guessed it was Sirius.
Sirius mouth opened and chuckled when he found himself speechless.
"You're a traumatized wee boy, aren't you?" Sirius mocked. He was serious, though, he wanted to see Remus' reaction from taunting him.
"I can tell you are too." Remus didn't like to be taunted.
Sirius mouth went still, into one thin line.
"I was shot." Remus told him after a moment of silence. Remus only told one other person before, a girl, and she was very drunk which is probably why she laughed a him. Remus wouldn't believe him either.
Sirius didn't speak, but his face looked serious. Remus didn't like it.
"I need to go," Remus said as he saw Jack phoning him.
Remus waiting for Sirius to say something but he didn't, Remus left and cursed himself for saying anything.
Jack told Remus to meet him by the statue of cupid, so that's what he did. Jack was standing, he looked nervous, almost sick.
"What's wrong?" Remus asked, coming closer.
Jack shifted nervously on his feet and finally took Remus by the arm and ushered him into the nearest building. There weren't many people about but Jack obviously wanted complete isolation. He dragged Remus down corridors until the maze was enough, no one could hear them here.
"Fenrir is coming for dinner," Jack was looking into his hands.
"Oh," Remus knew this was always a big thing but it happened so often, why was he scared now? "When?"
"I had sex with someone!" Jack blurted out. "A girl called Jennifer. It was only once! But i think he's found out and he's coming- and-"
Jack was blabbering away, and Remus stood in surprise. He slept with someone?
"I'm so sorry! I don't love her. I have no intention! I felt sad and she was there- I'm so sorry."
If Fenrir thought Jack was straying away from his duties then he'll kill Remus. Remus' heart fell, not because the supposed love-of-his-life cheated on him, but because his life could be ended in result of it.
Jack was crying. Remus felt numb, scared.
He reached his hands out to Remus' cheeks after a minute of Remus not moving. His hands were wet from wiping his tears.
"Kiss me-" He cried, but Remus had no obligation to now.
Remus moved his head so their lips wouldn't meet, but Jack was strong. His hands moved Remus' mouth but his lifted his hands and started to fight back.
"Let go of me- LET GO OF ME-"
"Just, kiss me," again, Jack forcefully controlled Remus' head. "Kiss me, Remus-"
"STOP!" Remus shouted. He should be heard from around the corridors. Won't someone come?
Suddenly the weight of Jack was off him. Opening his eyes he saw the slightly shorter, long dark hair.
Sirius must have followed him.
"Hey, you better back off-" Jack walked toward Sirius menacingly.
Sirius stood in front of Remus. "Or what? You're a bully, that's all you are-"
Jack was actually a highly trained killer, and Sirius was a schoolboy punk.
Jack easily punched Sirius in the face, but Sirius was ready for more.
Remus couldn't let them fight.
"That's enough." Remus spoke. He walked in front of Sirius and put a hand on Jack's chest.
"Is everything alright out here?" A man was walking out of a room from down the hall. Turning, Remus saw it was the lead singer, James, from the band that had a mental breakdown.
Jack realized he was outnumbered, swore and left.
"Are you okay-"
Remus turned on Sirius and punched him square in the jaw. He stumbled back into James, both looking horrified.
"Don't you dare, ever follow me again. Do you hear me?" Remus was angry.
"So... no THANK YOU?!" Sirius threw his hands up. His nose was bleeding and his jaw hurting really bad. "I just got punched for you. Then BY you, unbelievable."
"Guys lets settle down." James spoke.
"SHUT UP!" They said at the same time.
James was unfazed, though, "I have tissues for your nose." He walked back into his room and expected Sirius to follow.
Remus didn't know what to do, now. He was responsible for all this anyway so he should help clean it up.
Sirius went first, and then Remus into the very bright practice room. There were guitars, a piano and a drum kit where the small kid was yet again sitting. Sirius jumped when he saw him.
"Bloody hell, i thought you were a statue."
"Sorry, I'm Peter, please don't punch me." Peter must've thought it was us fighting and now we're here to fight James and him. He was like a mouse. Scared little mouse.
James gave him a box of tissues but Sirius didn't take them under his notice.
"COooooooooooooool! An electric guitar! I haven't played one of these on ages!!" Sirius picked it up, not asking permission - Remus saw James flinch a little - and began to play it.
He played some very impressive riff and as he ended looked very proud with himself.
James stood with his mouth open. "Will you join my band?"
Sirius looked up at him, and turned extremely smug. "Hm, i dunno, I'm a busy guy-"
Remus scoffed.
"What sort of music you play?" Sirius asked him. They spoke like no one else was in the room. Like Remus and Peter had disappeared.
"We have a couple songs, but the clubs want covers so we do Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones-"
"And Bowie?"
Remus didn't know who any of these people were except Elvis Presley.
James smiled, and picked up another electric guitar. He played some riff that made Sirius burst into happy laughter.
"Sir, you've got yourself a guitarist." Sirius stood up and they shook each others hands with playful excitement.
Sirius, though, was now dripping blood on the floor. Remus sighed and grabbed a couple tissues, bunching them up and giving them to Sirius. Remus turned to leave but caught the sight of a bass guitar.
He remembered how his father played it.
But he wouldn't allow himself to get mixed up in anything stupid.
"I'm sorry you got mixed up in all that today." Remus opened the door.
"You can't go back-"
"Don't get mixed up in my business ever again, please."
Remus left without another word, slamming the door behind.
