The fan in the one and the wet laundry hung up in the other corner of the room were doing nothing to cool down the flat. It was an oven and they were the potatoes being baked. Was God going to serve them with sour cream, Remus wondered. And then he wondered if the ongoing heat and sleep depravity had made him delusional.
He felt the figure next to him shift his head towards him. Remus knew the look without having to see it. It was the I can’t sleep and I’m bored look.
“Don’t even think about it.”
The figure turned back without a word. Any other night he might have attempted to woo him with his charms, but the stuffy heat enveloping London was simply too unbearable, even for Sirius Black.
