Sun & Tan & Sunburn
“Moony, come in the sun, you need some color,” Sirius called from a few meters away where the others were sitting on a picknick blanket, laughing, and talking, and sharing food. Remus was perfectly tucked away under the shadow of a tree, reading his book.
“No, I do not.”
“Yes, come on.” Sirius got up and walked towards him.
“I’m perfectly fine being whiter than white bread, thank you very much.”
He took Remus’ book from him, losing the page he was on, and grabbed his hands to pull him up.
“You’re not just white, your complexion is that of a sickly Victorian boy.”
Remus scoffed and muttered “rude” under his breath, but otherwise ignored the comment, letting himself be pulled up. It was true that his skin hadn’t seen the most sun in … forever, really. He wasn’t like Sirius and James who wanted to be outside and active all the time. He much preferred his books and some tea.
“It’s not healthy, you need some Vitamin D.” Sirius grinned while he said it, the joke on his tongue but unsaid, apparently set on making a good impression so Remus will come along.
“I’ll just get sunburned,” Remus tried to argue weakly, but he was already being pulled towards the others.
“Don’t be so dramatic, sun’s not that bad yet. And it’s just for a little while.”

He did, in fact, get sunburned. But so did Sirius, Lily, and Peter. James only looked a tad darker.
“Fucker,” Sirius later mumbled at a carefree looking James while everyone else rubbed aloe vera on their sore skin.
