Future Uncertain: Part 1 of Harry Potter and the End of Magic

The year is 2069. The encroachment of the muggle world into previously protected magical areas through advancing technology has upended the status quo of centuries. Mass migration, paranoia and population decline all feature in a Wizarding World without a muggle born birth in over 40 years and fewer and fewer places they can hide.Hogwarts and it’s nearby sister settlement and growing city of HogsHaven (Formerly Hogsmeade) are now the 3rd largest wizarding population hubs left in the world.Into this chaotic time a fractured International Confederation of Wizards debates over asking the most infamous Wizard on the planet for help. Loved by some, hated by many, distrusted by most, and even worshipped by a few former Head Auror and current Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts Harry Potter might be the key to the Wizarding Worlds survival…..but will he risk everything he’s fought and sacrificed to protect over the last century and trust a Ministry and International Government that views him as one of the most destructive forces on the planet?

Hi all, so this is my first attempt at doing a proper fanfic. I hope you all like it but it is quite rough. I'll be posting very sporadically but hoping to get a chapter out each month if possible.This is intended to be a completed story, but I will be breaking it down into "books". At the moment this is looking like it could be 3 or 4 books in total. While we start our story in 2069 with alot of allusions to events and people that aren't explained do not fear, all will be revealed. My plan is to jump around, so that while most chapters will progress the 2069 story there will be sections or chapters that jump back to various points in the previous 70 years in order to catch us up.Fair Warning: This will be canon compliant up until the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, after that everything is up for grabs.
