Jamie knows best
Sirius seriously considered sending little Clara a bouquet of flowers for her beautiful drawing; a drawing that now hanged proudly on top of Remus´s nightstand, and on top of every other drawing Clara had sent. But it wasn´t just the skilled way Clara had drawn Moony but because it seemed that Remus had finally accepted, he was not a monster. Remus John Lupin had never been a monster. But he was now finally sure of it. And it showed.
Sirius, and practically the rest of Hogwarts student body, could tell that Remus´s confidence was growing day by day. The tall sandy haired young lad no longer walked slouched on the corridor. He was practically strutting alongside James; Sirius couldn´t get enough of it.
Cause the change was good. Even the teachers had noticed. Remus began to actively participate in class discussions, his hand confidently shooting up when he had something to say. In Defense Against the Dark Arts, he demonstrated spells and curses with poise and precision, impressing both his peers and professors. Remus even joined un on the occasional impromptu jam session with his friends, showcasing his awful voice. Remus used to only sing if he was drunk. However now, he´d sing at the top of his lungs alongside the marauders with a radiant smile and a mischievous glint in his eyes.
But perhaps the change Sirius liked the best was that Remus was now initiating their usual friendly flirting game. He had always reciprocated Sirius´s playful and flirtatious comments but he usually did with wit and humor, so it wasn´t Sirius fault at all when Remus started calling him love and darling to be render speechless.
“You know Moony” called Sirius as Lily and Remus looked up from their respective books. They were at the library, supposedly studying. “I´ve always thought you were incredibly intelligent but lately you´ve got this je ne sais quoi, you are practically irresistible, mon lune.”
Now, don´t get Remus wrong, the man folded the instant Sirius spoke french. However, he wasn´t backing down this time.
“Is that so?” said Remus resting his chin on his palm, leaning towards Sirius non chalantly. “I guess you´ll have to resist my charm, fy seren.” He said with a cheeky smile.
“I...what did you say?” asking Sirius staring at Remus´s lips. The raven-haired boy was trying to mask his astonishment so hard. Hopefully his lack of eloquence could be blame on not understanding that last part Remus had said.
“Please guys, we are studying and I´ll hex you both if I don´t finish my essay.” said Lily putting her head on the book with a defeated sight.
“Sorry, Lils.” said Remus going back to work. “It´s just so hard to concentrate with such a brilliant star in front of me.”
Sirius Black had always been known for his confidence and his ability to charm just about anyone, but at that moment, he felt his entire face heating up. He tried to hide his reaction by chuckling and ruffling Remus's hair. "Well, I guess I should feel flattered that Moony finds me so distracting."
Lily couldn't help but smirk at their playful banter. "Oh, please, you two. If you're going to flirt, at least do it quietly. I've got an essay to finish.”
Remus and Sirius exchanged a mischievous glance before returning to their books, but the warmth between them lingered. Their newfound confidence and the ease with which they could now openly flirt with each other had brought them to a place in their friendship that neither of them had anticipated. And when the three of them returned to the common room Sirius had made a decision.

Sirius waited for Remus to get in the shower. He grabbed James's arm and drag him into his bed, he closed the curtains and casted a silencing spell. Regulus entered not long after.
“Oi!” exclaimed Sirius “This is a private conversation.”
“I´m your brother.” said Regulus unfaced. He got himself comfortable in between James´s arms. “Beside this is about Remus, isn´t it?”
“None of your business, sneaky git.” said Sirius.
“It is.” confirmed James. “Sirius play nice.”
Regulusa arched his brow.
“It is.” confirmed Sirius. Both, James and Regulus looked at him expectantly. “I´m going to ask Moony out.”
“Wow! Pump you broom breaks there, mister.” said James.
James exchanged a meaningful look with Regulus. Sirius face fell. His best friend didn´t thought it was a good idea. Shit, James´s opinion meant the world to Sirius. Was this a bad idea?
"Sirius, maybe you should hold off on that," Regulus advised, his expression cryptic.
Confused, Sirius furrowed his brow. "Hold off? Why on earth should I do that? I've been wanting to do this for ages!"
Sirius looked at James. His platonic soulmate. He always understood. Sirius´s eyes were pleading, and James could read him like an open book. “Jamie?” asked Sirius, voice barely over a whisper. “Is this a bad idea?”
James could hear the fear on Sirius´s voice and his heart gave a painful tough.
“Oh, Merlin, no Pads!” James assured quickly. “This is the best idea. You two are meant to be together. But... well... it´s just....” James glance at Regulus who threw his boyfriend a warning look. But James Potter could never say no to Sirius´s puppy eyes. “Sirius it´s just that Remus has-”
“Potter, I swear if you tell him we are not shagging for a week.” interrupted Regulus. James was promptly shut up.
“Ugh, I´m going to ignore that.” said Sirius. “Tell me what, though?”
Regulus gently placed a hand on Sirius's shoulder. "Sirius, trust us. Sometimes, timing is everything. Just give it a little more time."
“Yeah, have a little faith Pads. It´ll be worthy in the end, I promised.” said James cheerily.
Sirius was taken aback by their words but trusted his friends implicitly. "Alright, fine. I'll hold off. But you better have a good reason for this."
“There is a good reason.” assured Reggie.
“A great reason even!” said James as Regulus lightly pushed him to stop him from giving away more. “Humpf.” James smiled at Sirius apologetically. “Trust me Pads. Jamie knows best.”
“Please don´t refer to yourself in third person.” Sirius groaned.
Regulus laughed as he gave his boyfriend a little soft peck on the lips.
As the night came to an end, James and Regulus exchanged knowing glances again, and it became clear that there was more to their advice than met the eye.

The next day, Sirius noticed something odd; he hadn't seen Remus all day, nor had he spotted his little brother, Regulus. He grew increasingly curious about their whereabouts, but James was determined to keep him distracted. They played wizarding chess, practiced Quidditch moves, and even revisited their mischievous prank plans.
As the afternoon wore on and the sun began to set, James finally decided it was time to let Sirius in on the surprise. "Hey, Sirius, why don't you head down to the Great Lake?" James suggested with a mysterious grin.
Sirius knew James Potter like the back of his hand. His hands fidgeting, his fingers running constantly through his hair. It was like watching him gather the courage to ask Reggie out all over again. James was evidently nervous, and Sirius was more certain than ever that something was up.
Sirius raised an eyebrow. "Why would I go there, it´s almost curfew? What's going on, James?"
“Curfew.” huffed the bespectacled young man. “When have we ever cared about curfew.” James chuckled, standing up and clapping a hand on Sirius's shoulder. "Trust me, you'll want to see this. Go to the Great Lake, and you'll find your answer."
Intrigued and slightly puzzled, Sirius made his way down to the lake. As he approached, he saw a beautiful scene unfold before him. Lily was there, and so was Regulus, along with an array of floating candles that lit up the area. As soon as they saw Sirius, they finished casting the spell and hurried away. Lily ran towards the castle and Regulus waved to someone behind Sirius. Then his little brother disappeared. In the distance, he spotted Remus, who stood at the edge of the lake, holding a little box in his hands.
A wave of emotions washed over Sirius as he realized what was happening. His heart raced with anticipation and a touch of nervousness. This was it, the moment he had been waiting for. But it was clear that this wasn't just about Sirius asking Remus out; it was something much grander.
“Hi.” Sirius said as he reached Remus. “What´s all this Moons?”
“It´s for you.” said Remus shyly.
“For me?” asked Sirius breathlessly.
“Yeah, Pads.” Remus looked into Sirius eyes with the dopiest grin Sirius had ever seen him sport; and Sirius´s hear melted right then and there.
They stayed in silence. Just... Well, just looking at each other.
Sirius face split into a grin.
“Ask him out all ready!” James´s voice was heard, coming from a nearby bush.
“James if you ruin this I swear.” hushed Reggie from the same bush.
“You were going to ask me out?” Said Sirius with hopeful eyes.
“I am going to ask you out.” said Remus as he handed Sirius the little box.
Sirius took the package from Remus´s long fingers and opened it. He gasped as soon as he saw what was inside. There were a lot of little stars made from crystal and of course there was also a moon.
“I used to have this plastic star in my sealing when I was little.” Remus explained.
“Yeah, I know.” cut Sirius. Cause Moony had told him, one of the times Sirius had a nightmare, one of the uncountable nights they had spent together, Remus had confessed he was afraid of the dark when he was little and that he had those plastic muggles starts that shined in the darkness. And of course, Sirius knew, because he treasured every bit of Remus´s soul that the werewolf shared with him.
“Sirius star was always my favorite, it shone the brightest, it was my lighthouse in the darkness... when I was afraid. And now... well you are my lighthouse.” Moony was looking around, Sirius was not answering, and Remus felt more and more uneased each passing second. “I thought we could hang them in your bed and crystal is much nicer than plastic.” he laughed awkwardly. “Then we could look at them when we sleep together... Wow! Not in that way! I didn´t mean like sleep with each other.” Remus started. “Well, no I do want to sleep with you but maybe that should be later -”
“Remus.” Sirius laughed sweetly.
“WHAT I MEANT TO SAY.” said Remus getting redder than Sirius had ever seen. “Is we can cuddle, and you can go out with me.” he blabbered. “Shit no. I mean, would you go out with... me? Can I take you out?” said Remus hiding his face behind one hand.
“Moons.” Sirius called. And Remus looked at him with those eyes; Sirius never stood a chance. “Yes.” Sirius answered breathless. “Yes, to all of that. Always yes to you Moons.”
Remus said and the weight of the world fell of his shoulder.
“Oh that´s great.” say Remus breathlessly as he laughed forward towards Sirius. Remus´s hands cupped Sirius face and the tall boy planted a big kiss on the raven-haired boy.
“Oh, that IS great.” whispered Sirius with a goofy grin after Remus pulled back.
Remus laughed and gave Sirius another little peck.
“Hurray!” shouted James stepping out from the bushes.
“James Potter! Come back this instant. Let them be gay in peace” chastised Reggie.
“See pads” said James as he dragged his two friends and boyfriend into a hug. “Told you it´d be worth the wait.”
Sirius looked at Moony. Moony smiled at him.
“It truly was worth the wait.” confessed Sirius.
“Jamie knows best.” laughed James. “Oi!” he complained when Sirius elbowed him on the ribs.
