I looked around Gringotts as Professor McGonagall spoke to the Goblins. "Professor?"
"Yes, Miss Granger?"
"Is there any way to use Magic to find out who your relatives are? I was adopted and I'd like to know if my parents were Magical... If I need a name, I have the name I had before I was given to the orphanage."
"And what name was that, Miss Granger?"
"Cassiopeia Narcissa Malfoy, Professor." The Professor went pale and all the Goblins within hearing distance stared at me. "What?"
"Are you sure, Miss Granger?"
"Yes, Professor. All I was left with at the orphanage was a written note saying my name and my birthday."
"Miss Malfoy," the Goblin said. "We can perform a Heritage Test for you but it'll cost you 100 Galleons. If you really are a Malfoy, it'll be taken from the Malfoy Vault. The Malfoys are a very prominent family in the Wizarding World and there are currently only three biological Malfoys and four with the Malfoy name."
"Yes, please," I said. I was given some money by my foster parents on the condition I never go back there and, whilst the £200 would only cover slightly over 40% of the cost if I do have to pay it, surely I'll have a Vault somewhere that can pay the rest or most of it with some of the money I've been given from the Muggleborn Fund paying the last bit. I wouldn't be able to get any extra books and will probably have to get some second-hand but finding out who my parents are is worth it. And, I'll no longer have to go by Hermione Jean Granger. Hermione Jean Granger has been my legal name since the Grangers, who were the first family I was placed with, adopted me when I had only been at the orphanage for a month. They legally changed my name and I was with them until I was five and I started doing, what Professor McGonagall referenced as, accidental Magic. Then, I got taken by Social Services because a teacher discovered I was being abused by them. I've had thirteen sets of foster parents since. They've all not wanted to keep me when they've discovered my Magic.
"Follow me," the Goblin said and we followed him. "My name is Spikeblade. If the Heritage Test names you as a Malfoy Heir, you'll be referred to Poisonhead as he's the Malfoy family's account manager." Once in his office and we'd all sat down, Spikeblade had me cut my hand with a knife and drop some blood on some parchment. Professor McGonagall healed my cut and Spikeblade stared at the words written on the parchment in my blood and the more he read the more he paled.
"Is something wrong, Spikeblade?"
"No, Miss... Heir... Lady... Oh, what do I call you?"
"What do you mean?"
"If you are a Primary Heir of a family, you are referred to as Heir and then the family name," he said. "If you are a Secondary Heir of a family, you are Miss or Mr like in the Muggle World. If you are a Lady or Lord of a family, you are referred as Lady or Lord and then the family name. You are both Heir and Lady of many families so I don't know what to refer to you as."
"What?" I asked and I read the parchment.

"No," Professor McGonagall said in disbelief as she read it. "He wouldn't..." She trailed off. "Who am I kidding? Of course, he would! That rat bastard! This is why I turned traitor!" She looked at me and her gaze softened. "We need to get you back with your real family, Cassiopeia."
"Marriage/Sibling means the Sibling of someone who married into the family or descended from someone whose Sibling married into the family," Spikeblade said. "We can remove the blocks and Potions and change your Magical Guardian if wanted... You should also settle on a title for people to call you as currently, you're Heir Ravenclaw Hufflepuff Abbott Bulstrode Burke Crouch Flint Greengrass Macmillan Malfoy Nott Ollivander Parkinson Shacklebolt Slughorn Weasley Yaxley McGonagall Prince Dumbledore and Lady Slytherin Gryffindor Peverell Avery Black Carrow Fawley Gaunt Lestrange Longbottom Prewett Rosier Rowle Selwyn Shafiq Travers Potter Bones. "... Lady Slytherin Gryffindor's probably best," Professor McGonagall said. "Then, most of the Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws at Hogwarts will respect you."
"Why am I Heir and Lady of so many names?"
"When you were born to Lucius and Narcissa, The Dark Lord Blood Adopted you to make you his Heir as he had agreed with your parents beforehand. He then performed a Blood Ritual with the blood he had told his Death Eaters to collect. He had the blood of as many Pureblood Witches and Wizards he could find as well as some prominent Half-Bloods. The Prince Heirship comes from your Godfather, Severus Snape. He's the Head of Slytherin House and the Potions Professor at Hogwarts. He's also a Half-Blood. Because you're an Heir or Lady of all Sacred 28 families, you will be the most respected Witch Hogwarts has ever had as a pupil. If the current Lord or Lady of a House you are Heir to dies, you become Lady of that House. Some of the Houses you are currently Lady of is because the Lord or Lady was sent to Azkaban. During a sentence in Azkaban, you lose your position as Head of House. Some never get it back because the new Lord or Lady of the House refuses to give it back. All the Sacred 28 families have Seats on the Wizengamot."
"What's the Wizengamot?"
"They make the laws of the Wizarding World and they also sit in on criminal trials."
"Once a Lord or Lady you are Heir to dies, we will send you a letter and the Lord/Lady Ring for that Ladyship," Spikeblade said. "We did send you a letter by owl a few months ago when Arcturus Black, who was the Head of House Black at the time, died but the letter was returned unopened. The owl couldn't get to you."
"Dumbledore's interference probably," Professor McGonagall said with a scowl.

Professor McGonagall (or Minnie as she said I could call her that when not in school), my new Magical Guardian, and I left Gringotts after a long few hours. I'd had all of what Dumbledore did to me reversed (including nullifying the Marriage Contract) and now I'm slightly taller with blonde and black hair, I'm not buck-toothed anymore and I have stormy grey eyes. According to Minnie, I look like the female version of my Brother and the spitting image of my Mother at my age. I can't wait until I can meet my Mother. I want to meet my Brother and Father too but I'm really looking forward to having a Mother. "What now?"
"Now, we get your supplies," Minnie said. I named her my Magical Guardian because in the Wizarding World, Magical Guardians are like Muggle Godparents (though they also have Godparents but Magical Guardians get custody first) and they can't be your actual parents. Because of the blocks being removed, I'm struggling to control the sudden large increase in power and some of my new abilities. To be fair, I probably won't ever use most of them or even forget I have them like the 'Gossip Detector' or 'Natural Luck' but others could be very useful like the 'Lie Detector' and 'Natural Occlumency' ones. The hardest two to control right now seem to be the 'Natural Legilimency' and 'Metamorphmagus'. Apparently, my Mother's a Natural Legilimens too. Minnie and I got almost everything and the second last stop was to get my new robes. She said I could stay with her until we get into contact with my parents. "Hi," a black-haired boy on a stool said as I sat next to him.
"I'm Cassiopeia Malfoy but you can call me Cassie," I said. I turned to the boy next to him. "Draco?"
