More to him then we see
When Blaise started to notice this stuff was when they became partners in potions. He started to see the small thin lines that were in the "mask". As well as hidden within the goofy happy smile.
Blaise started to wonder if there was more to him than what he saw? Blaise started to watch Ron trying to get to know Ron without it being creepy and stalking.
Blaise started with simple questions to get to know the second youngest better. "So like,what is it like to grow up in a big family". That was a simple question right? At Least he thinks it is.
Ron answered with a few stories of how his family is and their dynamics Ron just being a watching in most of them. Ron was just off to the side in his family yet took it with stride.
Blaise started to see through the smiles after that convocation. The small glint of fear,Sadness,being overshadowed. Blaise saw it all and more. Blaise could see it broke Ron but it was hidden deep within the smiles.

Ron knew how to hide the shittest of feelings or the guilt he had for having them. Yet he could see Blaise saw through it. Ron could not see how Blaide could and he for the life of him couldn't see why Blaise took notice or cared.
Ron would later see that Blaise grew a crush on him and fell for Ron. But for now Ron couldn't see why Blaise Zabini would care.
Ron could see Blaise cared for him like he actually cared. "Why do you actually care about me?" Ron Asked one day after a few months of Blaise watching self. "Well." Blaise answered.
"I want to get to know the real you" Blaise finishes and looks at Ron. Ron without Realizing turns on his heel blushing like Mad crazy.
Blaise saw the blush and could see Ron was a flustered mess so he didn't push. But he could tell they were going places. Blaise has a smile that you can tell was a happy and proud one.
Ron gets to his dorm and is flustered to the 100th degree and hides his face in the pillow. He screams into his pillow. Just making himself more embarrassed when Harry comes in to check on him.
"You good ron?" Harry asks his friend. Ron is face first in his pillow still nods. He knows his face is still red so chooses to not lift his face up. Ron, still heavily embarrassed by this, is blushing dead on.
"Yeah I'm good 100% just fine" Ron says trying to seem less embarrassed then he is. Harry calls him out on it like 0.2 seconds after and gives Ron a look that says "yea I don't believe that" So Ron knew he wouldn't get away with it.
Let's just say Harry and him had a long talk. Ron told him Blaise saw the stuff most don't. Harry understood Ron in that sense. "Ever thought he liked you?" Ron face gave a oh shit look as Harry said that. "Why you think that?!".
"Well he watches you sees you for you" Harry then lists a few more things,Ron is blushing as red as his hair.

A few weeks later they both end up hanging out because Draco and Harry was. And well they both ended up together with Ron an embarrassed mess and Blaise laughing.
"Stop laughing you prick!" Ron still embarrassed and red. Blaise just shakes his head knowing this would turn for the best. Ron was super embarrassed.
"Nha your cute when you flustered" Blaise said and to his happiness Ron became more flustered and Is blushing hard.
"Stopppp" Ron basically whined. Blaise just shook his head no enjoying the flustered Ron.
Ron was happy still much to his embarrassed still he was happy someone sees him for him and knows that more to him then just what's on the outside.
