chapter one!!
Everything was perfect. He had a huge house, and his friends were around him but one thing was even more important - Potter was there, next to him, sitting in the sun with his head in Regulus' lap. They've agreed to do this together, but what will happen next? Will there be something strange yet to come? Perhaps a visit, a call, or something that will change their lives?

Regulus Black. A name to be known by everyone. A person to be known by no one, except his friends. His very limited friends. He had few friends but he could trust them with his whole heart. One of them was a barista in his favourite coffee shop in London - it was close to his apartment too.
He was going to the cafe to drink his afternoon coffee when his friend, Evan Rosier, called him.
"Reg? I won't be able to work at the shop today, I'm sorry. I just haven't been feeling okay all day, so I won't be able to serve you but there's a really hot guy, James Potter that wanted to take my shift. You'll be okay, right? Okay Reg, Love you, bye!" And he hung up the phone before Regulus could get a single word out of his mouth.
James Potter, huh? Evan has a taste in guys so he trusts him. He trusts his friends with everything, as it's made known.
Regulus' coffee was one of the most important times of his day - working as a music artist made him wake up early and go to bed late, even though he valued his sleep he valued his art more. And he loved coffee so there was no turning back now.
The moment he opened the door of the shop he laid eyes on the barista his breath stopped. He was gorgeous. He was talking with a redhead, laughing at something she said and Regulus noticed straight white teeth. Oh lord, was he in love. But he was jealous of that redheaded girl. Hell, he was jealous of James himself! He hadn't even talked to him! But, oh well, it's time to change that.
As he advanced to the counter, James noticed him and his posture changed immediately. As Regulus neared, the redhead swiftly glided away, winking at James, the other boy having missed that encounter. Oh well.
"Good afternoon, I'm James and I'm going to be your barista for today. So, what can I do for you?" He was smiling so widely. God, Regulus already loved his smile.
"Hello, so I would like a black coffee with two brown sugars and a dash of milk, please. Oh, and some cinnamon." That was Regulus' favourite coffee order and Evan made it well. Shame he isn't here but he can see if James can do it better, if he has to do it more often, in the mornings maybe. 'Regulus stop.' his mind says.
"Okay, coming right up!" Regulus felt himself drown in his thoughts when he heard a voice saying his name. "Regulus, right? My coworker Evan said that you'd come by around 4 and told me to wait for you, said that we'd have a good chat." That bitch Evan. He knows way too much. "So, Regulus, what do you do for work?"
Regulus was sure if James asked him anything else with that casual tone of voice he'd have to open up to him and cry at his shoulder. His shoulder looked quite good, even though a shoulder can't be attractive, it was.
"I produce music. I was about to ask you what you do for a living but given that I'm in the coffee shop and not behind the counter, I don't think that it's necessary."
James erupted in laughter while making Regulus' coffee, making the boy look at his barista, a confused look on his face.
"You're funny, Regulus, I'll give you that. But no, that's not my only job. I'm also a bookshop co-owner. Me and my friend Remus own this little bookstore- Regulus, are you okay?"
Regulus was NOT okay. His friend, Remus Lupin, is JAMES FUCKING POTTER's best friend? And he didn't even mention it! He did tell Regulus he owned a bookshop, Regulus even visits it, but he's never seen James there. And he wants to.
"Oh, nothing, just that Remus is one of my best friends and he's never said anything about you, and I can't even wonder why he would hide you from me." Regulus flirts a bit. It can't hurt, right?
James blushes. A lot. Regulus thinks it suits him, he wants to do it more often. And then it hits him. He wants at least his number, given the fact that Evan will probably come back to work soon and Regulus always catches Remus in the bookstore, so they might as well talk over text.
"James? Can I have your number?" Regulus asks shyly. He's never been this shy but in front of this attractive man, he definitely would be.
James looks stricken. "Forget about it-" Regulus says before being cut off by the other boy. "No, Regulus, I'll give it to you. I just want one thing from you." Regulus waits in anticipation. "Tomorrow, you and I are going out to know each other better. Understood?" Oh he was bossy. Regulus was about to faint but he nodded, gave his phone to put James' number in, got his coffee and fled the cafe. Evan and Remus were going to be in big trouble.
