The Power of a TARDIS

It had now been three years since Harry had managed to save Melody Song Pond River at Demons Run and the whole family was still traveling in the TARDIS. Harry spent most of his time looking after Melody while his dads and Amy and Rory went out and enjoyed themselves although at least once a week Rory or Amy would stay behind and Harry would go out to see whatever adventure they were going on as well as the two weeks a year they spent on Floxum so that Melody wasn’t always stuck inside. The Ponds went home for a weekend a month but you could tell they were on pins and needles all the time that Melody was outside of the TARDIS at this moment the four of them were off looking around a planet while Harry worked in the TARDIS and looked after Melody. Harry kept reading through his work on how to make a new version of SATURN but only for this universe so that it didn’t do as SATURN did and allow Melody to go to other universes they had agreed that they would give it to her when she was twenty Harry was using components from both a Vortex Manipulator as well as SATURN to try and combine the two so that it worked better for Melody and had a lot more safety features in it as he had said when he rescued her. As Harry went over his work he suddenly stopped and went back to something in the early stages of the course that caught his eye it had nothing to do with what he was working on at that moment, but it was an eye opener for his TARDIS engineering course he had been taking since he was eight again when he got into trouble.

“Could it really be that simple, it would have the power required to do everything involved with moving a TARDIS through the Time Vortex as well as the ship being able to see Time and all its permutations even better than we could Father almighty would it. I need to talk to the TARDIS if I'm right then it’s no wonder I could never work it out I bet even dad doesn’t actually know or does he and he has kept quiet so I had to work it out on my own! Anyway, time for a chat, Melody, I need to go to the control room for a few minutes do you want to come with me or carry on playing for a bit?” Harry first spoke to himself and then to Melody who was playing with Lego on the floor in their living quarters while Harry worked at his workstation that had been installed in there for him.

“I’ll carry on playing big brother, I'm not tired, you go!” Melody responded to Harry and then she went back to what she was doing putting together a Lego Star Wars space ship it was a bit advanced for a three year old to be putting it together, but Melody was no ordinary three year old she was part Human part Time Lady and she had been building more and more complicated models as she aged over the last six months she seemed to be on a Lego kick at the moment Harry thought she should be playing with dolls, but Melody loved playing with Lego putting it all together. Harry knew even if he didn’t watch her the TARDIS would, and she would let him know if there was any trouble so he put his notes down at the side of his station and stood up leaving the living room.

He made his way to the control room lost deep in thought could it really be that simple on how the Time Lords and Ladies powered a TARDIS, would they be stupid enough to even try it? Then again look at his own Department Of Mysteries the answer was yes, they would, he wanted to read that book it was astonishing to think what it could be.

He eventually made it to the control room and the console unit placing both his hands on the Time rota he shut his eyes and dropped his shields fully so the TARDIS could see all of his mind.

“I need your help, you, Pere and dad told me I would have to work out your soul and power for myself to be able to grow you a sister, if I'm right you gain your heart or soul when the power settles in you and it’s directed to your matrix. The power is what makes you so formidable and able to see all of Time and space as well as what provides all the needed power for us to use the Time Vortex or travel in space if we want to, this is what you said I needed to understand. This is what House was after isn’t it? You're powered by a naked singularity held in perfect position to not only provide all the power needed, but to give you your heart or soul to be able to see through all of Time and space, a naked singularity would let you do that wouldn’t it?” Harry explained what he thought he had worked our then finally asked the TARDIS. He got his response not in words but in images of how one of her sisters was created while she was having her inside being built using dimensional engineering, then she showed him how to access her power room and where the information he need was and how to get to it including all the traps and tricks to stop you getting there normally, this was the most guarded section of the TARDIS and she made Harry understand this. Damage her power and she would die it was only because she knew him at his deepest, did she allow him access to her own power room, she showed him the control room with an extra door in the room and him going through it but everyone else ignored it, it was only for him when he wanted it, it was so he could learn to grow her a sister eventually it was a way to her power core with a perception filter on that only he could see through.

“My Lady is there a copy of the book I could remove and take to the inbetween and read?” Harry asked her next.

she showed him growers of a TARDIS making copies of the book and how they did it to each TARDIS placing the book in the power room that held the power core and how they ensured it couldn’t be removed from there, but he could copy it and remove the copy as long as it stayed with his Father in the inbetween so it was safe, or he would have to use the one in her power room and that couldn’t be removed as she had shown him.

He released his hands and just stared at the Time rota, would his Father let him if HE would, it would save him so much time in the physical world being able to work on it in the inbetween where he could stop time and work for as long as he needed. Well there was only one way to find out, Harry needed to visit his Father in the inbetween. So while still holding onto the Time Rota he asked the TARDIS to look after Melody for him while he was gone for the microsecond and blinked to the inbetween.

He got there and immediately noticed his Father wasn’t waiting for him like he usually was so he stopped time there himself and created a chair to sit in to wait for his Father to show up. As he started to sit down a room appeared around him and his Father was sat next to him in his own throne that HE used whenever they talked to each other with a table in front of them, one that held Ginger Beer for Null, his dads wouldn’t let him have it until he was an adult but he couldn’t get drunk on it in the inbetween because it didn’t affect his body here so his Father let him drink it if he wanted to as he liked the taste of it. Instead of finishing sitting down he straightened out and hugged his Farther for a few minutes then took the seat.

“Hello Null. You worked it out a lot faster than either of your dads thought you would, you can copy the book I will set this room up for you permanently and place the area within your mind, to guide you back here. However Null, you will only be able to do at best a year per every week even here. You will need to let the information settle into your mind and then you will need to write it down, but only after it has been memorised it is that complicated that you will need the time to let it settle even with your eidetic memory." DEATH started to explain to Null.

"Yes you can cheat and do it quicker by coming to here and stopping time here like you have just now, but it will still take you time out in the universe to get through it all you would be best to not only make notes here after you have been through each section in the book but to also go back and to do it in the power room of the TARDIS as well then at the end of going through the book you can bring the power room notes to here and ensure they match up of they do then you will know you have learnt how to actually build a TARDIS and will be able to do so!" DEATH ontinued to explain.

"I will help you though, once you’ve gone through the book here and read the notes I will watch over you as you bring one alive and into creation here, if it works as it should and I will know. Then I will show you the shielding you need, but…. You must recreate a perfect replica first then I want you to learn how to create a Magical reality traveling time ship at worse like the first ones on Gallifrey, luckily the book is the same for a normal TARDIS but you will have to add your own designs, you will also have to use your Magic to make one a Magical one and you will have to hold it all in your mind." DEATH explained about what would need to be done.

"In actuality you will only need to build one if you take your time and go through all the course creating the shell of the ship you will build with the help of your Magic then bring into being the power core, you will need to power one with a control unit and control room that you will design then when you are ready I will then help with the immortal soul being connected up to the control unit and the reality shielding you will need for the power core as it will be very different from an ordinary TARDIS control room and console unit you will want within her, then you will need to work out how to add your Magic to the rest of the body inside including the three dimensional living area, but I would also like you to look into the organic ones that were built on Gallifrey!" DEATH explained and showed Null a hologram of what HE meant.

"These were vastly different from anything else ever built they were much more responsive and very picky who they bonded to and would only go to fixed points in Time and trouble in the timeline but I don’t want that I want you to build one with it all if you can a Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship if you can, but at worst it must be a Magical Reality Traveling Time Ship. You have within you the ability to build something great as a one off, then build just the dimensional interior for her once you get the shell the control room and console unit, the power, her soul and the shielding. You can then rest and design the three dimensional interior, sectioned off so you have the living area, an entertainment area and the library section as well as a full period clothing wardrobe." DEATH continued to explain.

"I know there will be other areas and things you will want it to have. By creating an interface that connects to the Control room and the power source that will look over all of reality so that you can look into the different mainline universes to remove technology and ideas that you think you will need and want to build inside of her so that she has everything you would want in her for the three of you and anyone you take on as a companion or companions like now, but I warn you Null what you eventually build will be nothing like has ever been built before by any civilisation, even in other realities that have gone before." DEATH finished explaining before holding HIS right hand up as a hologram appeared above it. 

"Now watch this is how each model was brought to life watch closely as I create them in sections as they need to be.” Explained DEATH

DEATH then showed Null first an ordinary TARDIS was built from the shell to the finished design that was standard for all TARDIS’s until they were personalised by the Time Lord or Lady they bonded to, then DEATH showed an organic TARDIS being built all the way through the next one shown being created was a Magical Reality Travailing Time Ship then DEATH showed Null what HE wanted Null to build for the three of them a Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship.

The final design was like nothing Null had seen before it was so different from any of the previous TARDIS’s that he had been shown even though he knew about the Organic ones from when he had looked over the past of Gallifrey one night when he had come to see his Father. Null had been talking about the History of Gallifrey and his Father had created a viewing port in the inbetween and taken Null through the evolution of the Time Lords and Ladies as well as all the other population of Gallifrey and all the different ships they built even when both the Magicals and ordinary Time Lords and Ladies lived in harmony together. The ship though that DEATH wanted him to build was shocking to Null. He just looked at his Father and DEATH looked back with a smile on HIS face pulling Null into another hug and sitting him on HIS knee.

“Thank-you so much Father, I didn’t want to ask Lady TIME to help so I was going to work through it by myself hoping it would work properly, I was going to take her back out of the universe to see if she still worked fully without a chance of cracks, but to build what you want how do I go about it even?” Null explained then asked.

“You know I will always be here to help you and I will help you with the end product, but you must design it you have seen organic TARDIS’s built before all this will be doing is building what the Magicals of your own race left this universe in but also making it organic as well, you also need to ensure it will only respond to you not so you have to do as it says on occasion! It can be done even seeing all of Time and space the power core will be the same but with the interface you can decide where you want her to go if you build it then the craft will be yours it will not have been built as a child of the Deity TIME but as MY SON so the ship will do as you say not the other way around." DEATH said before explaining how HE wanted it to be under Null's control rather than like their TARDIS.

"I will set this place aside for you with no time passing outside. I will provide all the furniture you will need, you will need to copy the book late at night and then bring it straight here, I will hold onto it until I feel you enter the room and then it will appear on the desk for you, if you need ME just summon ME or I will know and I will come and assist you, you have plenty of time to build her so take it slow and allow your imagination to flow into something never seen in reality before as I said.” DEATH explained then HE pointed at the new layout and the comfy chair and desk.

“Thank you so much, I love you Father!” Null spoke gently getting up and then kissing DEATH where his heart would be and squeezing tighter into the hug that DEATH had initiated.

“Go back now Null you mind is all over the place, you are scared at what you have found out as well as worried knowing what it is that actually powers a TARDIS. Talk to Koschei and Theta they care for you as parents should they will support and guide you into what you should do as they have always promised to, so talk to them about it all. The book will show you how to do it all safely, but be careful Null this is where they started to become arrogant as you can now understand! This is what a higher race can do use science and technology not understood by others and create an unimaginable power source, all higher races find unending or high-power long lasting outputs. This is what I would like you to ty and build as I said take a good look at it SON!” DEATH explained to Null.

Suddenly the Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship that DEATH had already shown Null was in front of him being brought into life and then how it was layered, and the inner dimensions and set up was so different from the TARDIS, the ship was beautiful he could see what his Father meant it went above everything built by their race before, he couldn’t understand putting something this beautiful to death it was more alive than Sexy and his Father had offered to prevent that ever happening by giving this one an immortal soul if he managed to build it. Null wouldn’t risk the TARDIS for anything, but you could tell the big differences, the Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship provided everything and the control room was one of beauty, the one they had now was up to the point of a new TARDIS but to use one of those, maybe they could alter the TARDIS by taking her soul and matrix out and rebuild her body into a Magical Organic Reality Traveling one.

“No Null Sexy as you all call her has already been built, she is alive now, you can only add the Reality shielding onto her she is already as new as you can make her like you have done as you got further into the engineering course, but you will never be able to remove the soul and power out of her, even for a new body she has had that one a long time. It would be upsetting to her as you well know you told her you would make her talk to her thief again Theta, you don’t need more than her at the moment, Theta could do with going back to school but if she lets him drive with the breaks on well as you told her it is her choice, in a sense she is letting him do it one sentient being to another. However, if you can create the one I want you to build correctly then you could bring her with you even though there will be two separate time machines within the other the TARDIS sexy can be powered down while inside of the one I want you to build and then used for traveling around the universe you are in. But as you know she does not have an immortal soul like the one I want you to build will have. She will eventually die and pass onto the beyond." DEATH explained gently to Null there was no way to remove the soul and power source from within a TARDIS.

"The new one I am showing you how to make can have an immortal soul that I will help you with along with the reality shields you will need as I said, but the rest is up to you to do on your own.” DEATH explained to Null still showing him the ship.

They just sat there while Null took everything in about the time machine and home his Father wanted him to build as it slowly span in front of him going through each layer as it was added to, it could have been minutes hours or days. His Father was really going to help him. There had been a discussion about asking the Deity TIME to help but both his dad and Pere had shut that idea down with the single thought that SHE could place the shields in a way he couldn’t follow which while useful for their TARDIS he wouldn’t be able to do it if for some horrific reason sexy died and he had to grow them a new one with the needed reality shielding.

However, Null was shocked that his Father had shown him what HE wanted designing and how to go about that, but to also then turn around and offer to help him, he really did feel loved by all his parents even if his mother wasn’t here anymore, but for a being who was meant to have no emotion his Father always knew how to make him happy and be there to help him in his life just as HE had promised.

“Always for you Null. Now go on back to the TARDIS and I will see you tonight, bring the copied book from the power room straight here!” DEATH told Null and with that said DEATH kissed him on his forehead and one last squeeze and Harry was back in the console room.

He returned to their living room to see Melody still playing with the Lego they had bought her she was still building the Star Wars imperial TIE fighter something that was for eight year olds and up, but even at three she was extremely intelligent.

Harry stopped looking at Melody and went to sit on the sofa in shock, he was right, how had he missed it in his lessons? Well, because they learned so fast and easy science was covered early on in fact Harry covered it when he was still getting used to seeing Time after the first twelve months of being constantly sick, he had started in on his lessons but he had missed it the more he got into his courses, he still couldn’t believe the Magicals and children of Time of old had the brass balls to actually attempt it, yet they had and had made it work, but he couldn’t see how. You were talking about the inside edge of a black hole, how had they created it without the black hole effect, and it would have to be real a fake one wouldn’t hold the kind of power needed not for long anyway, maybe a few days if they were lucky. But the fact his Father was willing to let him grow one in the inbetween so it was safe and protected he didn’t know if he would be able to get it out of inbetween from what his Father had said he could make it so it would take sexy so maybe he could remove it from the inbetween after it was finished.

They could then send the new ship he wanted to build back to the inbetween once it had got them into a new universe it could be used to pick them up if they wanted to leave the universe and take them into a new one and then return to the inbetween and with an interface could continue looking over all of reality from there while they explored the universe they were in. they really only needed sexy, the three of them were a family and they travelled as one. However, his Father had made a good point sexy wasn’t immortal this one would be, as he had thought if anything did happen to the TARDIS he would be able to grow a new one.

He had heard Magical Reality Traveling Time Ships were more responsive to their pilots they allowed them to travel throughout the whole of reality, not like the TARDIS did and took them wherever they wanted, but only in this universe occasionally making them do things the TARDIS wanted done. However his Father had said the one he would build would do as he said not the other way around, it was the reality shielding and soul that shocked Harry the most, his Father would take him through them both to help him so that the new one he would build would be with them for all of eternity with an immortal soul she would always be there for him, she would be as immortal as he was.

What worried him was incorporating organics into the new ship Harry had seen the Organic TARDIS’s built on Gallifrey before now, when looking at the past of Gallifrey and they really didn’t like being used for anything other than keeping the timeline intact in fact they had all been put to death because of that which had disgusted him. Harry at least knew one thing that had come out of all of this DEATH truly did love him, he knew before, but with that one offer his love for his Father skyrocketed HE really did have emotions for him and wanted him to succeed and have the best life HE could offer him. His Father wanted him to build a ship that would do everything for them and only take orders off them not even the Deity TIME would get a say in the matter even though they could travel through Time using the Time Vortex still with the new one.

He sat there for hours, he wasn’t even following the others through the timeline like he normally did he was still too lost in thought of what powered a TARDIS, he felt as though he was sitting on a bomb, no wonder his dad had once told him the Earth wouldn’t survive the destruction of a TARDIS which meant he also knew the truth unless he knew it would just have to be powerful. It would have swallowed the universe not the Earth, destruction of a TARDIS exploding would have dragged the universe into a black hole.

The singularity would be free and the black hole would form around it something that big, as he now knew the universe would go as they had seen once before pulling it back from the beginning of time no matter when it had exploded, so maybe his dad didn’t know, he was going around in circles yet he still could grasp the sheer audacity of all his ancestors. They may have been a higher race, but you could see the arrogance in that race, this was the final proof as his Father said, of the arrogance they had. Like all advanced races they thought they knew everything and nothing could stand up to their knowledge or understanding! So much so that they had been able to see Time eventually their biology had altered that much over the eons. Then they started to travel in Time.

Harry had often wondered why there were two types of TARDIS one that only travelled just in this universe and one that travelled in the whole of reality even if it ended up as only one ship in the end after his ancestors had removed the ability to make ships that could travel throughout realty, but originally when the two lived together they had used both types of ships ones that moved to other universes and ones that only worked in this universe. It became only one reality traveling Time ship and the rest were universal Time ships because of the split down the middle Science and Technology rather that Mysticism and Magic.

His ancestors had understood more as they were further on in their evolution than the ordinary Time Lord and Ladies and because of that they had started the witch hunts which was the start of their decline as his Father said the normal became arrogant after the Magicals had left, the Time War was the last straw. Harry was upset a bit at the Deity TIME, two Time Lords against all the daleks they had come across since, SHE should do a better job of cleaning up after herself, he thought it was one of the reasons his dads didn’t want him asking HER for help. But at the end of the day his Father was only responsible for the Deities keeping to the Deity Accords as well as keeping them in line and that they looked after their own emissaries.

While Harry's Father made sure HIS emissaries sent the soul collectors out when it was someone’s time to die, ensuring the agents that worked for HIM did what HE needed them to do and ending a universe when it was its time to die HE wasn’t bothered about what went on in the other universes overall, yes HE could take a life or even put a universe to death, but that was HIS right HE stayed in the inbetween to monitor the goings on within reality and the other Deities as well as ensure all who passed away went to where their free will had sent them, yet the Deity TIME favoured the Time Lords but still chose to trap all but two in a Time Lock yet not all the daleks, yes, SHE seemed to be annoyed about them surviving, in fact he would say scared over the reality bomb and Davros. But even his Father didn’t want that going off more for his sake than any other but still.

So what exactly had Rose Tyler taken from the TARDIS his Pere had said she had taken the soul of the TARDIS, his dad called it the Matrix but what exactly was it? How did you get the soul or matrix to beat? He now knew the power needed and, in a sense, understood that was how the TARDIS could see all of Time in any direction and all of its Permutation in all its glory, but still how did you create the soul of a TARDIS? That must be in the book for creating a new TARDIS, a book he now knew where it was kept and how to get to it, at least he wouldn’t be on his own when it came to both the immortal soul and the shielding needed to travel reality again. Harry also now knew why she didn’t like alternate universes the singularity was in tune with this universe it was a singularity created in this universe not in another which would sap all the power back around its power core to protect it. It needed that shielding if it was to travel wherever they wanted, but his Father had said he would have to design a Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship first before HE actually helped him make the soul and shielding for it when he started to build her.

Harry was still sat there with Melody Pond now asleep at his side when the other four returned, they all looked at Harry strangely they knew this wasn’t normal if Melody wanted or needed to sleep, she would either be put to bed, or he would hold her asleep on his lap.

“Arbitrator…. Arbitrator…. Arbitrator! Son!” The Doctor spoke going slightly louder each time so not to wake Melody up at the word ‘son’ the Doctor gently shook Harry so he would come out of whatever he was thinking about. Harry blinked back to now and out of his thoughts.

“Oh! Hello, you're all back early did you have a good time?” Harry asked them all.

“Son are you okay?” The Master asked worried.

“What?...Oh yeah fine, I'm fine, yes totally fine.” Harry replied still slightly lost in thought.

“Amy, Rory, why don’t you take Melody back to your room and put her in bed for a bit, Rory will you start on dinner we need to talk to the Arbitrator alone please.” The Doctor gently spoke to the two keeping his voice down not to wake Melody up. Amy went and smiled at Harry before taking Melody off him then Rory squeezed his shoulder and followed Amy out. Once they were out of their main living room the Master walked to the door and pressed a blue jewel at the side of it suddenly a blue shield popped up around their living area including the bedrooms nothing could get in or out now not even sound. The Master and the Doctor then took a seat opposite Harry.

“Muklo what has you so distracted? You obviously haven’t been looking into the timeline or your Pere would be in trouble so what is bothering you?” The Master asked him.

“Wait what? What do you mean the timeline and Pere being in trouble?” Harry asked coming back to his senses and focusing on the conversation.

“Don’t change the subject were all fine, but you obviously aren’t! We are here for you talk to us, please let us help you.” The Doctor spoke gently, the Master and the Doctor both wanted to get to the bottom of what was wrong with Harry.

“I worked it out, while you were out, I was working on a new version of SATURN for Melody going over the course again to see what I needed looking into Vortex Manipulators and SATURN then it came to me what could power a TARDIS, I asked sexy if I was right in what I thought it was and she confirmed it for me.” Harry explained to them both quietly.

“Ahhh, I wondered when you would, I thought you would eventually work it out by the time you had gone through the whole engineering course if you hadn’t I would have helped you and told you what it was.” The Doctor spoke to Harry impressed he had worked it out so soon and at such a young age.

“Hold on you mean you know what powers a TARDIS son?” The Master asked shocked, this was what had his son so engrossed in his own thoughts he knew what powered a TARDIS.

“Wait. You don’t? How is that possible you’ve had your own TARDIS in the past in fact you have had a few actually and no one ever told you or showed you?” Harry asked the Master shocked as well, the more he had sat there and thought about it the more he thought both his dad and Pere knew.

“No, I know there is a book somewhere in the TARDIS, from what I could gather it is an interactive book that actually takes you through the process of building a new one, all of it but I didn’t need a new one, neither did I have the inclination to spend the time it would take to interact with the book! Plus as you have said I have had a few if one stopped working I was instructed to send that one to the work shop and bonded to another one off the High Council. Remember unlike the Doctor the Time Lords and Ladies High Council needed me to always have access to a TARDIS so I would just swap the old one out for a new one and then bond to that one.” The Master admitted and explained to Harry.

“Oh! I really thought you knew, when Pere told me he knew I thought you would too. I can’t actually tell you sorry, sexy made me promise to never release the information to anyone, before she would give me access to the book, I don’t know about Pere, but it would be him who would have to tell you I can’t, just like I worked it out I think everyone is supposed to, or maybe not! Perhaps you are told so you have some understanding of just the type of power you are using and to illustrate just how arrogant our ancestors really were!" Harry explained before deciding to explain what had gone on.

"Father has offered to help by allowing me with the permission of the TARDIS to copy the book as long as HE holds onto it while I'm not using it! I can go to the inbetween whenever I want for a microsecond and Father has put a section there for me to work in, going through the book and stopped time there at the moment for me to work in it to help me get through the book quicker and be able to write notes there on the section I have completed, but the notes will have to be done here as well as keeping set in the inbetween so I know where I am up to in both areas and so that I can compare the two sets to make sure I understand everything I have learnt once I have gone through the book and can compare the two sets." Harry started to explain.

"Furthermore, Father has to keep hold of the book when I'm not using it, it was the agreement off the TARDIS to allow me to copy the book that is in her power room and take the copy to the inbetween when I'm not using it the book must be held by Father. Once I have built one on paper and Father knows it would work but one that isn’t real. Father will help me out with placing an immortal soul and realty shielding around the one I will build in the inbetween and from there I will be able to bring it into the universe I think. Only the one HE wants me to build is a Magical Reality Traveling time machine with a full interface. So that it can look all over reality from the inbetween at least and as I said HE will help out with the immortal soul and reality shielding for the power core but that is all I have to do the rest myself.” Harry explained partially to them both at the end shaking his head, he still couldn’t understand the ancients on Gallifrey thinking this would be a good idea to power a bloody TARDIS and it was distracting him.

“It’s a naked singularity that powers a TARDIS, there is no harm in you knowing, knowing is easy, getting to the power room is the hard part and one even I don’t know Koschei.” The Doctor explained quietly to the Master, the Masters eyes went wide at that information staring at The Doctor as though he had the drums in him this time not himself, The Doctor just nodded.

“Yes exactly, it’s held in perfect precision, it’s how a TARDIS can see all of Time and Space the singularity feeds her, it's why we have to sometimes charge her up, it’s not that we’re charging the power core, it’s the shielding in place to hold the power at the stage it is in. You once told Muklo it would blow up the Earth as you now know it would take the universe. That is why even I don’t know how to get to the power room, I only know what it is and that it has to be maintained every so often by charging the TARDIS up, but even if I didn’t pre-empt the TARDIS, she would do it herself, she knows what powers her what is in a sense her life and she will protect it like any of us would.” The Doctor explained further seeing the Masters look.

“I’m going to read the book, she didn’t tell me what the book does or anything just where it is and how to get to it then copy it. She has agreed to give me access, but only me. If anyone tries to come with me we will find ourselves going around in circles until we came out by the main door in the TARDIS, it would be as tactful as she would be to tell us to throw the other person out and never let them in again! Hence the copy staying with Father. Anyway there is no rush and Father has offered to help with the reality shielding as well as an immortal soul we will need as I said, that’s the problem with this TARDIS the power core was made in this universe, it doesn’t match resonance with a new universe and so goes wonky on us powering down or dying as you thought but not, when she powered everything down to protect her life and then when she has grabbed enough ambient power she could move again. I want to add reality shielding to her so that problem doesn’t occur again, nor will she feel ill in another universe it will be as nothing has changed, and we can carry on." Harry explained to both of his dads as they sat opposite him.

"As I said Father has agreed if I can build a Magical Reality Traveling Time ship at least in the inbetween HE will help me with the needed reality shielding and Soul of one and allow me to bring it to life, but what HE showed me is unbelievable its nothing like how sexy looks. We know it is possible to make an ordinary Magical reality traveling Time ship, my ancestors did it as you well know, but I'm going to have to start from the beginning, luckily for us we have a lot of time in this universe for me to work on it still, but to come up with a solution you first need to understand the problem, that is why I need to work with the book, the way Father said it I think HE will have to do it differently I would have thought they would be put in place as one was grown for when they moved through universes. These will be inside of her I think that she will control them and can pull them up if she knows we are going to a different universe so that the shielding matches the universe we are going to.” Harry explained to them both.

He didn’t tell them about his Father wanting it to be organic because he had no idea how in any universe he was meant to make an organic one he would have to talk more to his Father, but he would have to go through the course of just making an ordinary TARDIS to start then make one to travel reality then make one into being organic as well as it being Magical and he had absolutely no idea how to do that he was still coming to terms with the fact that a black hole powered an ordinary TARDIS.

“I can’t believe you worked it out! I thought after you had completed the full engineering course if you didn’t know by then as I said I would have told you and let you work out the rest from there but to do it on your own you really are a privilege for us to bring you up. You definitely inherited your mum and dad’s smarts!” The Doctor spoke in praise he really was proud of their son working it out on his own. Harry turned a slight shade of pink he always did when he got really praised by one of his parents as he saw them and felt it down the bond the Doctor really was impressed with him and made him feel so much love and accomplishment over what he had managed to work out.

“The question is what do I do now? I know where the book is and as I said Father will let me use the inbetween to go through it stopping time there, but I don’t really want to lose sexy and HE knows that HE said there is a way to take sexy with us by powering her completely down after placing her in the new one I will build to move her and we just use the new one for getting into and out of the universe we want to go and visit… Anyway, why would I be upset if I had come with you?” Harry explained and then asked getting the attention off him the Master got up and dropped the shield now they had covered what they needed to in private before sitting back down again.

“Your Pere got us all arrested on high treason charges because he thought he was being clever and objected to a couple getting married at their wedding on the principle the groom was to also be a virgin and wasn’t. As he was a Prince and as no one actually knew who we were, we soon found ourselves in dungeons of the high court. And do you know how we got out of it, this is the best bit son, he decided we didn’t need council even though we had no idea how their courts work or the fact we had been accused of being part of a cult to bring the whole Royal family down, oh no he was going to defend us and so he did by saying the groom had slept with Amy and he could prove it as he had a very distinct birth mark in a very unusual place. So, there we are, Amy looking ready to kill him, Rory being held back by me, so he didn’t kill him and the Doctor demanding the Prince strip to prove he didn’t have an unusual birth mark on his privates or to drop the charges as we could prove he did and now they had to prove he didn’t or drop the charges against us!" The Master explained what had gone on.

"Needless to say, we all hightailed it back to the TARDIS once the trial was over and then I sent us straight into the Time Vortex just to get out of there, the whole country was ready to lynch us, well except the bride’s party, they just demanded more for their daughter if the Prince still wanted her, as they didn’t know if there were any children out there, he had conceived before the marriage. The so-called anti Royal group seemed forgotten in all the drama!” The Master explained with humour in his voice. He had wondered why their son hadn’t come for them, now he knew. Harry burst out laughing at that story.

“Hold on, why did you even attend the wedding if you weren't invited? You were only meant to be going around the main city to have a look at it and explore!” Harry asked then explained when he calmed down.

“Because someone thought it would be a great idea to crash it, we’ll just watch, not interfere, it’s a Prince who will become the King of this country you can’t give up the opportunity to see a Prince marry, we’ll sit at the back, no one will even know we aren't meant to be there! Yes, that worked out, didn’t it Doctor?” The Master spoke with so much sarcasm at the end it was hilarious and made Harry smile.

“You could have shut me up if you were that bothered, anyway it was kind of fun, not a world we should really come back to for a few centuries but a fun adventure!” The Doctor replied to the Master’s statement in a matter of fact way trying to get out of it being his fault.

“I let you do it because I saw us in the dungeons and thought our son would come and rescue us, we can’t predict which timeline he’s using and so I couldn’t see when he would help if I knew he wasn’t looking I would have knocked you out!” The Master told the Doctor with some annoyance in his voice.

“Hold on, you have a go at me if I interfere, now you're having a go because I didn’t? I can’t do right for doing wrong, also you can’t expect your son to save you all the time that’s just embarrassing for you if I did that! What would people say? Anyway, you knew I wouldn’t be coming to help, I had Melody and we all agreed she was never to be left alone in the TARDIS! It is hard enough to get Amy and Rory to take her once a month for a weekend at their home for the last three years because of the fear they have over the Silence and we installed a fidelius charmed room that no one other than the six of us know and I hold the secret so no one is ever going to find out if I am attacked I will just go to the inbetween until it is over if I have to, if Amy had been watching Melody instead of me, I would have just put my hand over his mouth and stepped hard on his foot. No muss no fuss, well except for a painful foot. I still can’t believe you ruined a Prince’s wedding though Pere, you’re the romantic!” Harry first complained then explained then he spoke the last while sniggering at what the Doctor had done.

“He’d been unfaithful, and she hadn’t that wasn’t fair, plus he had slept with more than one woman, he’s not going to be faithful he doesn’t know the meaning of it. He will sleep with whoever he wants, and no one will say anything about it.” The Doctor replied in indignation. The other two just smiled a small smile at him he was still the Doctor his middle name was poke his nose into everything.

“Please just tell me you didn’t use your own names?” Harry asked them both worried.

“Erm yes, but in fairness I didn’t know what this idiot was going to do.” The Master spoke looking a bit sheepish.

“Oh, for the love of…… You were the ones who agreed with me we had gotten too big, to noticeable, fixed points in Time fine they are fixed us being there is understandable to ensure they stay fixed and disasters in the timeline were fine people would expect us to put them right, but just taking Amy and Rory through Time we need to be more careful, you used to use John smith and some form of Harold as alias’s I thought we were back to that, John Smith. Harold smith and Hayden Smith the three Smith’s. I'm not saying to not use your chosen names it is the name you chose for yourselves both of you have names that are important to you as is mine, but we can’t carry on playing with Time like this Pere!” Harry spoke annoyed at the Doctor.

“Lucky it would have still happened all I did was prevent the people who were going to do it from being executed after they had a sham of a trial it’s why I said we would represent ourselves the defence had been bought, most of that country has by the Royal family and they are tyrants. His parents knew he had been unfaithful, they were complicit in some, that poor girl is going to have a very miserable life now, her parents will still make her marry into the Royal family they have been bought by the Royals they only asked for more money to appease the masses, as if they need to.” The Doctor explained just as annoyed.

“Sorry, your right in that respect then, you tried to show the girl and the rest of the country not under the Royal families thumb compassion from what you have said, you did it all out of that and that is more like you, you didn’t do it for any other reason than as I have said before you are the Doctor and you save people, you saved people today, they could be the ones to go on and bring the Royal family down for all we know or it could be their children, children they will get to have or see grow up into adults themselves now thanks to you. And using such obscure names would have put them on high alert as they are not names easily forgotten, especially when together!" Harry told the Doctor after hearing what he had been told.

"I know your upset at Pere, dad, but if I had watched the timeline all I would have done is act as your defence and brought the evidence to light just not using Amy as an example. Also, next time demand compensation for Amy if you’re going to use her in your defence the best way to hit anyone seriously is to hit them financially, you could have demanded a lot for the unlawful act he perpetrated against Amy after all who’s going to be believed? The man with a birthmark only someone seeing him naked could know about or the defence who knew everything! Demand the compensation in gold bars and it would have been a nice nest egg for Melody as well as Amy and Rory as they are not renting the house out. I know we put a lot of money into their accounts when Melody was born but this would have just added to that they are going to stay with us a long time as I said they are scared just us leaving them for one weekend a month back on Earth.” Harry told his Pere. The Doctor looked at their son in confusion he couldn’t work out if he was agreeing with him or winding him up, they didn’t travel through Time to make money they did it to see the different things and enjoy themselves.

“You know I don’t like the name Harold or Harry as my own you know what I did with those names.” The Master spoke quietly ashamed throwing the Doctor out of his train of thoughts.

“But dad it was when the drums were at their worst, you have shown us just what you accomplished even with the drums, you got a lot more hands on than the Doctor has ever done with planets and the people living on them. Now the drums are gone all it is, is a name one of a million, there is no reason for you not to use it and it’s not strange for a child to be named after their dad or a derivative of that, Harold and his son Hayden you know why I hate Harry and had us change it, but we can always chose a different name for you it doesn’t have to be one of those two we can still be the Smiths, you’re Harold my dad I’m Hayden with his stepdad John, we pretend my mother chose my birth name it was given to me before I came to live with you and as a gift to her for what she had given you, you kept it. It all ads together, you got me as a baby and so changed my last name legally, I just found it funny when I found out what name you had gone by, and you were my dad. I never knew where my name came from, well James came from James Potter, but I never thought of where Harry came from, I didn’t want to know. You know what that name did to me.” Harry told his dad going sad at the end.

“I used Harold with your mother when we met, she knew it was an alias I just told her it was for her own good that she not know my real name, I had skimmed her thoughts and learnt of that Riddle character and well everyone called him Master that served with him I didn’t want her to feel scared of me, as you know I couldn’t tell her my real name and so I used my usual alias with the drums Harold. Maybe she chose it in that respect as you said a derivative, you were named Hadrian according to you mum and Harry must have been a nick name for you. And I know you don’t like that name son we all have bad things in our lives we don’t like that have unfortunately happened to us and we agreed you would never be called by that name ever again. Even using the name Harold with your mother, I had the drums in me, yes, they were quiet but all spending time with Lilly did was make them grow louder.” The Master told his son in sadness he knew what that name did to his son or thought he did.

“No, if you remember Harry Potter came out of the goblet of fire and I was contracted to it.” Harry told them upset about bringing up his past.

“Actually, I don’t think you were.” The Master said in a serious voice before he continued just as adamant as he had been.

“You felt no magical contract on your shoulders or tie itself to your Magical core, the competition was for over the age wizards and witches, that would make you over age as in seventeen or an adult that would have had the Goblins banging down your door the number of inheritances you had to your name would have made them come in person for you to re-open the accounts back up. Furthermore you should have been notified of you then being an adult, yet you never were, it could be that, that despicable Dumbledore kept it all from you, but even he couldn’t have kept the Goblins from you, they would have come in person for you as I said. It's why they accepted the money for the damage and called it a deal, well that and as a war born nation they understand the necessities some wars cause and as they didn’t get involved in any sense but came out better than they expected helped a lot I would imagine with the publicity you gave them after the war before you went to the Real Unspeakables full time.” The Master further explained.

“I never thought of it like that before I only gave the interview as I knew I would be disappearing soon from them all, I never really looked through the vaults either, there were to many of them, the Real Unspeakables were wanting me to get my affairs in order so I could move to our own floors in the Ministry and by then I was fine, Father had sorted me out mentally I was just pissed off over Teddy and Andromeda so I was happy to move to the Real Unspeakables as quickly as I could. I had, had enough of the Magical world as you know there were rumours I was already going to turn into the next Dark Lord after I had shown I was the most powerful Magic user in Britain and for some reason that country holds the most in powerful witches and wizards. I’m not saying the other countries aren’t powerful, but we seemed to always beat them out power level wise. From there I got SATURN a few months later and I think that is the first time in my whole life I actually smiled a true smile for the first time I was happy and then they let me go off exploring on my own which you both know I enjoyed immensely seeing all the different universes and what they turned out like. No one had really talked about my parents and when I found out James wasn’t my father people still wouldn’t tell me about my mother other than I had her eyes and she was good at charms, even those who claimed to be close, only the Real Unspeakables would talk about her and what she was really like while with them but that was more of what she did while she was with them and telling me the gate was safe as that was what she had used to get to this universe not how she was as a person.” Harry told them both.

“But you can call her to you if you feel the need to ask her questions, I know you don’t like doing it and I know it starts to hurt her the more time she spends here but you have the ability if you ever want to ask her anything, you know all about your Pere and me. If you feel you need to know more about your mum write a list of questions as I suggested last time you called her and then call her and ask them. If you don’t get through them in one go give it a few months for her to settle and call her again, you know she loves you and watches over you, you’ve seen her in your Pere's and my memories but we don’t know if that was the truth or a cover story you know she never mentioned her Magical abilities or the fact they had caused the rift in the first place coming through from the other side or even how they went back through and the crack closed, yet it always remained open in your universe and it only led to this one we know SATRUN leaves cracks still. It looks like it is going to be up to you to be able to get us to other universes.” The Master told him.

“We could go to alternate universes now if we wanted to well sort of, the TARDIS now knows how to get to them and what to do once there, but we still need the reality shielding for the power core, the problem is I have no idea how to come up with them, but Father has offered to show me how to add them which means after I watch HIM do it I will also be able to copy HIM and add them to sexy, but it comes with a condition.” Harry explained to both of his dads.

“So, what are you going to do now?” the Master asked him.

“Well I guess I carry on with learning about repairing a TARDIS with the engineering course as I have been doing as well as doing my ordinary lessons, but I'm going to take the book to the inbetween and read it there I have about another thirty years before I get through the whole of the TARDIS engineering course and my ordinary lessons will take longer you said as I would be around two hundred when I finsh them, then I will devote all my time to the book there really isn’t much more I can do to sexy she is working like a new TARDIS would. Father said I could probably do a years worth of work at most in a week because of having to memorise it all then I would have to make notes in the inbetween and then come back here to write notes in the power room on everything I have learnt while there to make sure they match up at the end and that I am retaining the information correctly, when you say a life time to use that book what did you mean back then Pere?” Harry explained then asked the Doctor as it was him that had told him about the book.

“It’s about five to six hundred years give or take I think for you to get through it, I think it’s around six or seven human lives to get through it all as I said, you actually might have better luck the book might tell you.” The Doctor explained. Harry looked at him confused.

“You could spend fifty years in there learning but to us it might be a second out here or time could run the same I just don’t know. I’ve never even looked I couldn’t think of having anything other than this TARDIS to use.” The Doctor explained further with the look their son was giving him.

“I suppose once it’s all settled in, I will have to take the TARDIS up on her offer to look at the book and find out, if it is only five hundred years that would be at least maybe ten years doing as Father suggested.” Harry explained to them both.

“Well then concentrate on that, the book will show you the shielding, but I think you might have to work up to it it’s not like an ordinary book where you can just go to the chapter on shields for the power core.” The Doctor explained further.

“I thought you hadn’t read it from what you said?” Harry asked confused looking to the Doctor.

“I haven’t but the way the TARDIS showed it to me I think you start at the beginning and are taken through the process interactively then once you have gone through the whole book you then inside of the book build one if it holds up you can do the same, but in the outside world and create a new one yourself that is real and usable. However, as you know it takes many builders to create one TARDIS, however doing it in the inbetween you may be able to do it on your own, but it will take you whole mind, perfect visualisation is the key you have to visualise it all at once and once you start you can’t stop until you build the outer shell and the control room with the console unit that you want the TARDIS you are going to build to have then you create the power source with the shielding in place to make sure the power stays contained, which will then allow you to make a soul for the TARDIS and ensure its heart is beating and in a sense bring the ship to life then you can stop and rest and then it is just the dimensional engineering that you put into place I think.” The Doctor explained further how he understood it so that Harry would understand more about what he needed to do.

“Father said something along the same lines on how you do it so you are probable right, but I have to build one in the inbetween before HE would help me so that is probably what HE meant! Or it could be that doing it in the inbetween it’s not real. So, you think it will make me go from the beginning to the end. I guess I really should look at the book, just not yet I want the things I've learnt today to settle first, I still can’t believe the arrogance of our ancestors to use that as a power source no wonder the destruction took the universe it would pull everything into it. It would create the black hole to do it and the power would sit just at the event horizon powering it even more. How do you create that kind of power source? You need to do it without bring into effect a black hole, even when my ancestors left you carried on building them the control and visualisation the growers must have had. I really know what you mean Pere when you say they were well respected! I knew they must have been revered but not that much! Anyone capable of doing that would not be one to mess with in any sense, the fact the TARDIS growers were able to work in concert with each other to the degree of bring one alive exactly as they are all visualising the same thing even if they had someone in charge of the design and all linked in with them they had to be identical to each other or they would have messed the TARDIS up.” Harry spoke in a sort of reverence of the sheer audacity of his ancestors that he still held for them.

“Do you actually want to grow one?” The Master asked quietly.

“I love sexy she is our home and has been and hopefully will be for a long time it's not a matter or if I want to build one I don’t want to leave sexy it's where I have grown up she is really my home that I share with my two dads, but if we want to go and see other universes then I need to build a ship that will allow us to take her into a new universe and then back out of it from what Father said, Father has a design in mind for me to build as the new ship and if I do it how HE wants, then HE will help out with an immortal soul and the reality shielding so the ship can stay in the inbetween until sexy passes away and goes to the beyond hopefully a very long time from now. I think I'm more interested in the reality shielding we need to protect sexy in different universes and building this new ship will allow her to pass into them and show me how to add that shielding to her." Harry started to explain to the Master and the Doctor.

"With Fathers help the new ship should be able to do it like sexy moves into the Time Vortex just phase out of one universe and into another and then all we would need to do is release sexy from inside the new ship and send that one back to the inbetween. We know sexy creates cracks when she does move into a new universe and even with the shielding it would still happen from what Father said. It was you entering the universe Rose Tyler is in Pere that gave them an in to ours, it wasn’t sealed up and that crack went straight though the void as you call it, the new ship needs to be able to pass without causing the cracks or be able to close those cracks which from what Father said and I have worked out so far by looking into it if the shielding is incorporated as the power core is placed in the ship at the right time then she should be able to pass into any universe without it actually causing any problems, I know how to patch a crack from both sides, but it’s the reality shielding for the power core that is holding us back at the moment and Father and the book are the answer to those problems.” Harry explained how the new ship would work then explained to the Doctor what had happened with the parallel universe where he had lost Rose.

“So I caused the incursion at Canary Wharf then?” The Doctor asked suddenly very subdued.

“No. The TARDIS did actually, it was meant to be caused by her, she just didn’t realise the effect it would have on her, that’s why she wanted to get out of there as soon as she could, she knew she had to go there and why. Truthfully how disgusted are you with the Cybermen knowing it was perverted tech from our own tests and investigations that was being used to rip minds out of bodies and make them cry out in cold fever not understanding what had happened to them, what that tech was really meant for. What we know it has been used in this universe for. Some of our ancestors have a lot to answer for even on top of what they have already been judged and found guilty of.” Harry explained but he spoke in disgust at the end.

“How do you know what that tech was for? We’ve never told you. I thought you sent your dad with Rory to find out where they were keeping Amy because of me already seeing the horror they are made out of not what really disgusted us though.” The Doctor asked then he also spoke in disgust at the end.

“I can look back in Time Pere if I go to the inbetween and Father and I have caught up on everything we will make a viewing port and look over what I'm interested in as Father gets me to look around at what I am seeing. I was curious where I had originally come from Gallifrey and so Father took me through the whole History of or birth planet I know I was born on Earth in a different universe but my ultimate ancestors come from Gallifrey and so Father took me through the History of our planet HE has just never shown me how to build a TARDIS until today. I know a lot of what Gallifrey tested and even used throughout their time the only thing missing is the information on universal hopping and building a TARDIS I think as I said. I’ve seen the start of Gallifrey and then what you did to stop them, I was there when they tried to break the Time lock remember there is not much I don’t know now about Gallifrey and what they accomplished even their organic ships were impressive, in fact that is actually what Father wants me to create a Magical Organic Reality Traveling Time Ship as my final project. If I can design on of those then Father expects me to start to create it and HE will help me to place the Reality shielding and help me with the soul of the Realty traveling one so it is immortal. I've just no idea how to make it organic I have an idea for placing the Magic’s within it, but not how to build an organic TARDIS even if I have seen them be used by Gallifrey before!” Harry explained to them.

Both the Doctor and the Master needed to know he didn’t really want to hide anything from them and maybe they could help him if they knew the whole truth, he still didn’t know how he would do it though and how to get around the restrictions but the way his Father had said Magical Organic he hoped it would work as an ordinary Time ship not like the ones Gallifrey created.

“Organic ships?” the Master and the Doctor both asked together.

“Yes, actually fully organic TARDIS’s a TARDIS today is impressive but the organic ones, they were a thing of beauty, but they were also a bit more responsive to Time than their pilots sometimes wanted. They were used mainly to keep the timeline intact; they would allow you to take them through Time, but they were much more cautious of where they would take a pilot. A TARDIS like sexy will take you wherever you want to go unless she feels you need to go somewhere for a specific reason, but the organic ones weren't like that they were much more alive and intuitive they knew what they had been grown for and what purpose they were to serve throughout their life. But to see one, to see the inside of one, they were a thing of beauty." Harry started to expain to his dads.

"The controls were completely different to the ones on this type of TARDIS all the rooms were natural everything was provided by the ship: chairs, beds, bedding, everything except food was provided, and they looked sort of organic as well, but they could also take any shape become any metal or alloy they were even more formidable in battle than a TARDIS like this one. I think I'm actually glad you didn’t have them in the Time War, I'm sad they were killed off when they went to building just an ordinary TARDIS like sexy but they were very picky who they would bond to and as I said a lot more responsive they really only did fixed points in Time, alterations to the timeline and disaster averting throughout the timeline not like sexy as I said, sexy will take us anywhere along the way that we want to go to but not the organic ones, so the council placed a death sentence on them all and killed them all off replacing them with this type of TARDIS. Getting better and better each model they made." Harry explained further.

"The ones in the Time War were actually better than sexy when I first came to live with you both, you told me when we first met that you lost your battles Pere, but you only did because of sexy. She really did not want you in the Time War, she was prepared to let you help but not get involved, you knew she wasn’t happy with you but never why, she was an older model she could see a lot more of Time she still can because of her age actually, she didn’t want that on your shoulders she wanted you out of the Time War as I said. Once you had been through the Time War and had to set The Moment off, she let you get away with a lot because she felt she was to blame for you using The Moment as a weapon and being on your own for the rest of eternity. Even she couldn’t see me in the futures she saw ahead of her, plus she knew what dad was going to do to her and she was scared she knew it would work she wasn’t fully functional if she was it wouldn’t have been possible her defences would have prevented it even though she knew in the end you would stop it all." Harry eplained about the different TARDIS' that the Lords and Ladies of Time had.

"It is one thing I will grant our ancestors after a lot of scientific discovery then real life tests they knew a lot about paradox’s and they knew how dangerous they could be especially the cult that sprung up on Gallifrey called Fraction Paradox those who believed in the beauty of creating the perfect paradoxes. They were all off their bloody rocker the High Council should have put a stop to them sooner, but it was the growers who eventually stopped them only then did the High Council get involved and the growers ensured a TARDIS from being used to create one, they knew as individuals you couldn’t hold one for ever those belonging to Faction Paradox, only a TARDIS could with their power source but to use a TARDIS power core and her soul to power one just wasn’t acceptable to the growers! They knew the power a TARDIS held and so put safety measures in place on all of them that no one would notice but would always prevent a paradox being generated by a TARDIS knowing they had the power to hold one if they were ever cannibalised into one. Then they slowly phased out the older models and carried on as each model was made better up until their final design just before the Time war.” Harry finished explaining about Gallifey and the diferent Time ships to them both.

“I've never been a member of that mad cult and I never will be even I've heard the horror stories about them not that the cult was still going when we were tots but as I said a paradox should not have worked yet it did, but if we were to try it now with her fully functional, we wouldn’t stand a chance of her doing it again.” The Master spoke in a matter of fact voice.

“No, we wouldn’t plus as I have said before only a Deity can hold a paradox and allow it to work as they want it to. That is mainly because they live outside of reality as a whole, the inbetween is kind of like the highest plane it just is, time doesn’t pass there yet in a sense it does at the same time. It is actually in between the Deities and the afterlife so Father can keep his eye on both. Remember HE and now me are the only immortal Deities there are HE will take them all at the end of this Reality but while there is a Reality going HE has to ensure that the Deities keep to the Deity Accords, the fact that even though time passes in the inbetween it doesn’t on the outside it means Father can watch me constantly and still keep HIS eye on the other Deities at the same time. As I said HE has put a place aside for me to work in, that time is stopped there, so I can do what I want to look into growing one but also spend time with HIM as well I don’t want to just go to the inbetween to do the work I want to as well as spend my time with Father, as HE said I would only get through a year at most every week because of the memory retention even with our eidetic memories and only doing that means if I want to just go and see HIM I still can without having to work on creating something I have no idea how to even start creating.” Harry explained to them more about the Deities and his Fathers role in it.

“So how did you work it out, I know I am changing the subject but that’s in our past we all agreed to live in the present so how did you figure the power source out?” The Doctor asked changing the subject to something less depressing and doing it as blunt as hitting a wall. Harry just snorted at his Pere.

“It came to me when I was reading over some notes trying to build a newer version of SATURN without the reality travel feature, I was looking at the make up of a Vortex Manipulator as well as the programming of SATURN and working with their power sources and I just thought about the TARDIS it was a random thought literally I remembered when I was still learning to see Time and feeling sick and I started my lessons that second year just to take my mind off the timelines, it’s explained in early science to us! The most powerful power source the Time Lords know of and how to control is a negative singularity but that is only for special reasons."  Harry started to explain how he worked out what the power core for the TARDIS was.

"It then moves onto the next section which is much more in depth. As is the section before, yet the most powerful power source we know about is just glossed over there had to be a reason for that, the more I thought about it the more and more horror I felt and wondered if I was sitting on a bomb, so I talked to the TARDIS dropping all my defences around my mind so she could see everything and then I asked her if I was right the only thing she didn’t show me is how to create the new needed shields and how to cause it to create a matrix or as we call it a soul for a TARDIS I presume that the soul information in is the book which she also showed me the way to, but it has been hidden by her in my mind, I think it’s so you two can’t take a look and find it especially if neither of you know the way to her power room. As I also said she will let me copy the book as long as it goes straight to my Father.” Harry finshed his explanation over what had happened for him to work it out.

“Okay, well that explains all events for today at least, so let’s go and have something to eat and then rest for the remainder of the evening we’re in the Time vortex at the moment as soon as we got inside your dad sent us into it as I said, actually he ran back here and then sent us into it.” The Doctor explained then spoke in humour at the end.

“That is because I didn’t want to regenerate after being killed by royalist supporters all of which you had just pissed off! Especially as our son hadn’t shown up yet!” The Master said with some heat.

“That wouldn’t have happened dad, SATURN would have informed me if your lives were in real danger and she saw it in time, plus if you were forced to regenerate all it would mean is you getting all your lives back and a new body, I would have been informed of that and been there like I was for Pere to fill his reserves up once it was too late to stop him from changing.” Harry told the Master reassuring him he would have been safe.

“So do I take my Father up on the offer?” Harry asked next.

“Do you want to? It’s your life son we’re here to support you. It will have to be you who does it unfortunately, but think of yourself as well! You’ve taken on a huge responsibility helping bring Melody up and you are still classed as a tot to us, do you have the time or maybe only do a months worth of work once a week to let it all settle in without you having to spend hours in the real universe ensuring you have remembered everything!” the Master asked then explained.

“Father said to talk to you two you were here to support and guide me so you don’t mind how long it takes me?” Harry asked looking at the two for guidance.

“No definitely not, you said we have a long time in this universe, so once a week you do one month’s worth of work and the rest of the time you spend either here or just with your Father talking like you do. You can’t spend all of your time in the TARDIS either, you still are a tot an older teenage one but you still need to get out and you need to sort your schedule out as well as leaving the evening free still so we can do something together as a family like we always do now, unless we are out of the TARDIS. I know you enjoy the evenings even when it’s just the three of us but it’s more fun with companions! That night you played Rory at chess and beat him in ten moves and told him you would then it took Amy a whole week to work it out, then drag you back to the lounge and she made you play like last time then covered your eyes with a cloth and got your dad to move the pieces for you when you said check mate and you hadn’t said which piece you wanted moving and all of us laughed at them when your dad turned to the board and move the piece as you said it was hilarious. You enjoy that time you enjoy your time in this universe, so spend it here there is no rush, if sexy crosses a universe, then the Deity TIME must allow her, and she knows how to get out of it. So once a week do a months work at most son, you could do one day per week but only a day and we will still have plenty of time in this universe. With unlimited regeneration we could go back to the beginning and move forward in real time, and you would have over a hundred trillion years to work on it.” The Doctor told him letting him know what they would rather he do with his time.

“You can’t stay cooped up in the TARDIS you needed to get out more than one day a week at best I know we agreed about your lessons and adventures but now you are older you should be coming out more not always spending your time in here with Melody and I know you don’t mind son, but Melody also really needs to get out more as well, but Amy is still scared. Maybe we should discuss them spending a bit more time on Earth now Melody is three and they get a break with all of them out in the fresh air and a different environment, just going for each weekend or even every other weekend to give Melody some fresh air on a planet outside with real sky not looking through the conservatory or a fortnight a year on Floxum.” The Master spoke first to Harry then to Harry and the Doctor.

“We’ll bring it up tonight with them both after Melody has been put to bed and it’s just the five of us so we can really talk and see what they have to say, we can discuss it in more detail then agreed?” The Doctor asked gently to them both getting two nods.

After just sitting there for about half an hour lost in their own thoughts all three got up and went to their own rooms to wash up from the day and change their clothes from what they were wearing then they all walked out together and went to the kitchen for something to eat together. Harry was just glad he wasn’t having to cook tonight not the state he was in, especially what all his parents had said to him that day he still had a lot to think about but they also needed to discuss Melody getting more fresh air it wasn’t good for a three year old to only spend at most, two weeks a year out of the TARDIS in one go and that was only on the Masters holiday planet even if they took her home for the weekend once a month you could tell for the whole weekend they were obviously both on edge to get back into the TARDIS to keep Melody safe once they picked them back up. It wasn’t good for Rory and Amy either to always be so wound up when spending time with their daughter alone until they came back for them worrying the whole weekend that the TARDIS would be on time to pick them back up after the weekend it was why Harry always piloted her to pick them up so they knew they would be there on time Sunday evening at five o'clock to collect them again after dropping them off always on a Friday night before their evening meal.
