And Alex goes with him.
Regulus and Alex walk hand in hand as they make their way through the light. Eventually Regulus stops walking and turns to him. "Do you have any regrets, my love?" He asked softly.
"Maybe not getting a car. But I'm here now, with you," Alex replies with a grin.
Regulus chuckles out a, "Good," with a smile still painted on his face. "I am happy you've not regretted anything major. Though, my love, I must ask. Will you marry me again on the other side?" Regulus looked at Alex hopefully.
"You haven't married me once." Alex banters, laughing as he pulls him through another door of light.
Regulus follows, saying, "Our souls have lived more lifetimes than one could possibly ever count. Our souls have always been connected to one another. We've been married, lovers, best friends, we're fated in every universe."
Regulus looks at Alex gently, "So, will you marry me on the other side?"
"Yes, I will marry you, you dork."
Regulus laughed, a light and soft laugh. "Then it's settled. Shall we have our wedding when we reach the other side?" Regulus looked at Alex once more, thinking how it must be impossible not to fall in love with the way his eyes sparkled. "I love you, my love." He softly kissed Alex's hand.*
Alex kisses his forehead in return, "I love you too, my prince."
Regulus' eyes glimmered and he seemed to lean in closer to try and kiss Alex's lips, but it wasn't really possible, as spirits. "My love, my darling, my dearest. Thank you... for everything, but, I must ask one last thing of you?" He looked nervous as he asked.
"Of course." Alex replies, realising they are drifting apart to go to peace.
Regulus took in the words that were spoken as he looked at Alex softly. There was a sadness and bittersweet-ness to the moment, as them both knew that it was time to let go.
"My love. Would you do me the honor of saying 'I do' at our wedding once we reach the other side? I'll even do most of the talking this time, my sweet."
Regulus laughed softly, he knew how much Alex hated speaking in front of crowds. "Please, my love. Say 'I do' once more for me."
"I do!" Alex yells, watching the face of his love disappear. Everything blacked out and next thing they know around them is a lush meadow, where James, Lily, Marlene, Dorcas and Evan stand. "We made it, were here!"
As Regulus opened his eyes he was startled by the sudden change of scenery. The meadow and the group in front of him made him speechless. "My love..." Regulus spoke softly, his voice breaking.
He gently took Alex's hand once more, smiling lightly at your excitement and joy. "My love, I... I am incredibly happy we have reached this place together. We are meant to spend eternity together," Regulus spoke softly and smiled at him once more. "My dear, I am glad you see it the same way I do."
Alex smiles, moving to hug James as quickly as he can. His brother. He got his brother back.
Regulus watched intently as Alex ran to his brother, and for a moment he felt lonely, but soon the light of his love and joy returned. "My love, please know... I am so happy to see you have reunited with your brother."
Regulus spoke softly as he moved towards the group of friends. He was happy to see them all but he really wanted to embrace Alex for a long few hours. "My love, I know this is an emotional reunion...
But please... I want to hold you dear."
