regulus was made to piss off sirius

Soon the four found themselves sat back on the sofas, Remus slumped back against the soft leather with a pissed off Sirius (you could practically see the smoke coming out of his ears) perched on his lap. On the other side, James sat bolt upright, a protective hand resting carefully on Regulus' shoulder.

Grey eyes looked up at him expectantly, as James sighed and slowly lifted Regulus onto his lap, cautious not to attract the attention of Sirius by moving too fast.

However, nothing escapes the keen eye of a Black, and Sirius' jaw drops when Regulus smirks happily at his older brother, with a daring shuffle of his hips to move closer to James. Catching on to the little game, James buries his face in Regulus' neck, pressing gentle kisses and inhaling his heavenly scent. He smelt so good.

"Oi! James! Get your hands off my brother!"
They all dissolve into a fit of giggles (a welcome contrast to the thick tension of before), whilst Sirius looks outraged. "What the fuck is so funny? James I swear to God if you don't take Reggie off your lap-" Remus pressed his palm to Sirius' mouth, shaking from how hard he's laughing. When James grabs Regulus' face with both hands, pressing a deep kiss to his lips, Sirius shrieks.

"Remus, stop them!" Remus shakes his head fondly, his hand still pressed to Sirius' mouth. When James finally pulls away from the kiss, he winks at Sirius.

"James, you brotherfucker!"

James' eyes widen.
"I haven't fucked your brother Sirius," he sounds alarmed.

"Yet" adds a smirking Regulus, who James then pushes off his lap. He pouts, looking up at James with big eyes.

"Fuck's sake... Fine, you can sit back on my lap." James reluctantly agrees, picking up a smug-looking Regulus.

"No he cannot!" Sirius shouts, his voice cracking. Meanwhile, Remus is covering his own mouth, his face turning red from laughing so hard.

Sirius is raging, only held down by Remus' firm arms. One little slip and both James and Regulus would be in the hospital in an instant, no one messes with his best friend, and no one gets with his little brother.

"James Fleamont Potter, tell me you aren't fucking my little brother!"
James just chuckles, shaking his head vigorously.

Regulus, the little tease he is, leans back to James and mutters quietly in his ear, "You could be if you wanted..."
James just freezes. Completely still, unmoving. Had he just heard that correctly?

Sirius was still glaring at both of them, eyebrow raising when James quickly stood up, grabbing Regulus' wrist to pull him along with him. The two boys left the room immediately, halfway up the stairs before Sirius shouts, "You two better not be doing anything up there!"

Regulus couldn't stop himself from laughing, loud chuckles that shook his entire body. His laughter was infectious - a disease that wormed its way into your skin, rooting itself in your brain - so James couldn't help but laugh along with him, the pair practically holding eachother up as they slowly made their way to James' room.

They had only just stepped into the room, the door clicked shut behind them, but the tension was thick. Suffocating, almost.

James was drowning in it, and his respite was Regulus' lips. There, he could breathe. There, all was alright. Problems faded away when the two boys were sharing the same breath, so close together that it would only take a slight shuffle of feet for their bodies to be touching. That miniscule space between them was electric, dangerous to touch.

He could feel those grey eyes boring into his back, burning though his skin. An involuntary shiver ran through his body, his breath coming out in a weak gasp as he shudders. James was pathetic. He was just being stared at and he already felt out of control.

Measured footsteps creaked against the floorboards, coming closer to James. Slowly, oh so slowly. A hand creeps up his back, wrapping around his shoulder. Long, delicate fingers drumming gently against his thin t-shirt, sending sparks flying down his arms, hands tingling.

Before he knew it, James had ducked away from the hand, striding to the other side of the room. He could still feel the warmth against his shoulder, the heat seeping into his skin despite how icy the hand itself was. Regulus' hands were always so cold, but then again so was the rest of him. Nothing about his sharp jawline and high cheekbones suggested warmth, just bone-chilling frostiness.

James was determined to warm him. He wanted nothing more than to feel the boy melt under his hands, harsh corners becoming rounder, softer. Ice melting beneath the sheer heat of the sun. That's what he'd always been told: James was the sun. He brightened up any room he walked into, and he stood out as the dazzling light in the darkness of the world.

Looking up from where his gaze was fixed on the corner of his bed, his eyes flickered over Regulus' face. He looked... hurt? No, surely not. A Black? Upset? No fucking way. His sharp features weren't just stunning, they also reflected his nature. Detached, indifferent, stony-hearted, that was what Regulus was.

No, this was completely new. However, the wrinkles of his frown disappeared almost as suddenly as they had shown up, as his icy facade took over once again. James shook his head, smirking to himself. Regulus was nothing if not disciplined.

Those grey eyes still hadn't left him, they were gazing over at him, wide as if pleading for something, though James didn't know what. What could Regulus possibly want? When the eyes dragged up and down James' body, slow and unblinking, it all clicked together in his head. Oh. Regulus wanted him.

It all happened in a flash. One minute James and Regulus were stood at opposite sides of the room, then the next minute James was sat on his bed, Regulus on his lap. They were a mess of hands tangled in hair, arms wrapped around waists, heartbeats thrumming in time with eachother.

It was a desperate clash of lips and teeth, a need to be as close as possible.
