How Harry left part 1
Harry stared at the destruction around him with blank eyes and wondered why. Why had it gotten to this point? Why did no one help Tom Riddle before he turned into Lord Voldemort? Looking around at all the people moving around clearing debris and moving the bodies of both students and Death Eaters, Harry couldn’t stand it anymore. He could see people staring at him with both awe and fear in their eyes.
He realized with a jolt that the orange and purple fire that had covered him after getting hit with the killing curse was finally disappearing and went out without a fight. “Your going to leave, aren’t you.” It was said as a statement of fact not a question and Harry nodded as he turned to look at Luna who was standing behind him. She stared at him for a moment before smiling as she turned to walk away to Neville, “You’ll meet your rainbow soon.”
Neville waved at him as him Luna then turned to leave. “ Be safe Harry make sure you write to us.” Harry nodded as he watched them go. “I will Nev. You just take care of you and Luna.” Taking one last look around Harry apparated away to Gringotts to talk to the goblins and hopefully make reparations for the damages caused during their escape with the dragon.
Walking up the front steps he stopped to bow to the guards waiting outside before continuing on inside oblivious to the shocked looks he got from the goblins. Quickly making his way to a line by the teller, he waited to be called on, looking around at how empty it was currently. Everyone was out celebrating so there weren’t many people waiting for their turns in line.
Executing a sharp bow when he was called he looked up at the teller,” Excuse me Master Goblin but I was wondering if it would be possible to talk to someone about making reparations to the bank for the damages caused by my escape?” The goblins eyes widened and then narrowed as he looked at him, “Follow me Lord Potter, Chief Ragnok would like to speak to you. “ Harry raised an eyebrow at the use of Lord but nods and follows the goblin to a pair of ornate doors that lead to the Chief. Harry took a few steps into the room and dropped into a bow.” Thank you for seeing me Chief Ragnok.” Chief Ragnok raised his head to look at him, before waving him over to the chair in front of his desk.
