So getting straight into it, Sirius being a dog mean he can energy for everything. So I think these could be a read of Remus/Sirius or of Sirus/Regulus. I believe that we shall look through the lenes of the Remus and him. Also, Sirius would be such a rose girly.

I think this song could be about how Sirius view his effect on people. Maroon is the color of blood and with him being accused of the betrayal of James and Lily. Blood can mean many things, but in this case, I think its Sirius viewing how he left the world with blood. He cased blood and his relationship with blood, is one of pain. His being beaten as a kid, I think he got every used to seeing blood, on himself. So, when looking up for help or to stop the blood, and all he see is maroon the color of blood. Blood never looked good on him but he rather it be on himself then any of his friends. So, when he see almost all of his friends dead, who were his saving grace. There bloody and died and no longer open and perfect like a norma sky would be.

Blood is not always a bad thing, blush come from blood rising to your face. When wine is thrown into the mix of talking about deep, is that you drink it. You drink wine and that could be a symbol of drinking the love that he has for Remus. Or even the family wine/blood and how its not the good kind of blood. After all blood is what makes us human. I also think the rust part could be in references to when Sirius tried to contact Remus after the prank. Or when he saw that his brother was going down a darker path. The lips are for sure meet to be Remus. Home doesn't have to be place and it can people. And for Sirius his home was with his friends and boyfriend. When Sirius was truly happy it was with any of the other marauders. Also the fact that the marauders are not blood related, but he still see's them as brothers and sisters.

When the silence of the death of almost all his friends and the shutting up of they way they used to feel, shows how much he lost with his friends dying. Him and Remus losing sight of what they once were is something I see a lot in fanfic. With Sirius possibly seeing Remus as the spy, he lost what the and Remus had, love. I think, he had though all the love , when Lily and James died. Think about, James was his best friend and Lily was like a sister to him. There are so many repercussions because of there death. 1. Peter was found out by Sirius and faked his death. 2. Him and Remus didn't speak for 12 YEARS. Imagine thinking you've lost all the love in your life but the one person who still loves you. The one person who's still alive. Finds someone else whether canon w/Nymphadora or fanon w/grant. "You were standing hollow-eyed in the hallway" that's how he saw James when entering the house after Lily and him had been killed. He still feels love but not have it for so long, I don't think he ever remember to love. The rubies he gave up, where his chance at love and happiness. He gave up on love, and didn't feel peace until death.

Weather or not whoever you think the memory is about, then its true. It works for every single character/ friend of Sirius Orian Black. The legacy that each one of the people Sirius called family has shown itself. Sirius leaned love and life form his friend but with their deaths and betrayal, the sky that held the sun (James), the Moon (Remus), clouds (Peter) and the stars(himself). They were bloody and no longer the once great things they were before.
