Chapter 4
I slowly wake up and stretch my arms out as I yawn before getting out of bed and putting my slippers on. I walk into the bathroom and get the shower on while I get out of my PJs and into the shower. 15 minutes later, I get out of the shower and put on my bathrobe before I walk out of the bathroom and straight to my closet. I quickly spell the closet to be a walk in closet before walking inside and putting on a white button up shirt which has the Slytherin logo on. I then put on a black skirt with dark see through tights on before I put on my combat boots and quickly do the laces. I then look in the mirror spell my hair dry before combing through it and doing a half up and half down braided hairstyle. After I've finished, I put my Slytherin robes on and and grab my enchanted bag that has all my school books in before walking out of the closet and out of my room. I walk down the corridor and to the common room to see Ginny standing aside probably waiting for me. I walk up to her and give her a small smile as she looks at me closely." Wow, you look beautiful Alex.'' She says as she takes in my uniform and my hairstyle causing me to compliment her back.
" Come on we should go to the Great Hall, I'm starving.'' Ginny says causing me to laugh gently before following her out of the common room and feeling eyes on me. I turn around and make eye contact with Mattheo who smirks at me before I quickly turn back around and follow Ginny to the great hall for breakfast. As we're walking towards the Great Hall, I memorize my way to the common room and the other corridors I see. Ginny way talking to me about Quidditch while I nod my head at her before we finally make it to the Great Hall. We walk inside and sit at the Slytherin table before putting some food on our plate. I pour myself some orange juice and eat my pancakes while talking to Ginny about some classes." So, what electives have you chosen?'' Ginny asks me and I smile gently at her before naming my four electives." I've chosen Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures and Astronomy.'' I answer her and she nods her head a bit impressed, I guess." You use the time turner as well.'' She whispers to me and I nod after thinking about telling her about my abilities with time travelling before deciding not to." And you?'' I ask her and she shrugs as she takes a bite of her toast." I take Arithmancy and Ancient Runes.'' She answers me and I nod before looking at the Ravenclaw table. Ginny seeing this answers my silent question as I drink some orange juice." Hermione takes Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy while Luna takes Divination and Ancient Runes.'' Ginny says and I nod before finishing my pancakes.
" Miss Weasley, Miss Salvatore. Your timetables.'' A voice says from behind us so we turn around and I see a man wearing black robes and long/short hair handing us our time tables." Thank you, professor Snape.'' Ginny says and he nods before walking to other students." That's professor Snape, the head of our house. We should get going if we don't want to get late.'' Ginny says as she stands up and I nod before following her out of the great hall where Hermione and Luna were waiting." Alex what's your first class?'' Hermione asks me and I check before looking back at her and placing it in my enchanted bag." I have Potions and then transfiguration.'' I answer her and she nods before looking back at the girls." We'll see you two around.'' She says before waving them bye as she leads me to my class. As I talk to Hermione, I make sure to memorize where certain places are so that I won't get lost while walking around the castle. We walk into a class that's in the dungeons before sitting down in the middle row.
We get out books out and I look around to see we're slightly early." Gods, I'm so bored.'' I complain to Hermione opening up to her slight and she shakes her head in amusement." Your facial expression shows it as well.'' She says before letting out a giggle as people start walking into the classroom including my soulmates making me turn to Hermione fully. I quickly keep my face blanked as Hermione shakes her head at me before we hear the door slam as professor Snape walks to the front of the class and long strides." Today, I'll be choosing where you shall be sitting from now on.'' He says in a drawled manner causing me and Hermione to exchange looks." Now, listen to me carefully because I will not repeat myself.'' He says before grabbing a peace of parchment and beginning to read from it." Weasley and Mulciber.'' He first says causing a redheaded boy to groan and mutter insults as he was paired with a Slytherin." Granger and Longbottom. McLagan and Nott. Malfoy and Parkinson. Greengrass and Zabini. Berkshire and Thomas.'' Professor Snape continues saying the names while I zone out and only pay attention when I hear my soulmates name." And finally Riddle-Slytherin and Salvatore.'' That one sentence cause me to freeze before I take a deep breath and stand up taking a seat besides my soulmate.
" Today, we'll be making a potion called Amortentia. Could anyone tell me what it does?'' Professor Snape says and I see Mattheo stiffen and our soulmates looking at him in concern. I take a deep breath and put my hand under the table before grabbing his and giving his hand a squeeze causing him to look at me in surprise. I then quickly put my hand up along with Hermione and professor Snape picks me." Alexandra.'' Professor Snape says and I put my hand down before getting ready to explain it." Amortentia is currently the most powerful love potion in existence. It also causes a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker. You also smell a person you like in the potion.'' I explain and professor Snape nods at me in approval." Correct. 5 points to Slytherin.'' Professor Snape says and I smile before I suddenly feel Mattheo squeezing my hand. I turn to look at him and see him mouthing 'thank you' to me. I just smile and nod at him before looking back to professor Snape." Today, class we will be making the love potion. And I want you to do it the correct way, so follow and read the instructions carefully.'' Snape says as he waves his wands and books starts handing themselves out to us all. " Now get your cauldrons out and the ingredients are on the desk at the front.'' Professor Snape says and everyone starts getting their things ready. I open the book to the correct page before looking at all the ingredients I would need to get. I read over it and nod before walking over to the front to get the ingredients I would need for the potion to work.
As soon as I grab all the ingredients I would need, I make my way back to my desk and work through my potion and while following the instructions carefully so that I don't mess it up or make it explode or something like that.
