Party
After class regulus walked over to Barty and Evan, telling them what happened while James walked over to Sirius, James knew that regulus and him were going to get closer throughout the next week. Sirius, Remus and James walked to the common room, Remus sitting down on the big arm chair, James and Sirius sitting on the couch.
“How was working with my brother?” Sirius asked. “It was a nightmare” James replied but Remus knew he enjoyed it.
James laid down, placing his legs over sirius’ lap. “I think I might head to the astronomy tower” James stated. “Alright, let’s hope Sirius’ brothers not there then hm?” Remus replied smugly. “Yeah, let’s hope” James smiled and stood up, heading to the astronomy tower, walking up the stairs slowly. Once he reached the last stair he looked up and saw regulus smoking, so he walked over and sat next to him.
“Hey reg, are you alright?” James asked. “Yes, I’m fine, why do you ask?” Regulus asked slightly confused on why James asked or even cared. “Just checking” James stated. “Right, well I’ll be heading back to the dorm, Barty is forcing my to go to the party tonight.” Regulus said, reminding James about the party he was meant to me hosting with Marlene. “Shit! I forgot all about that!” James blurted as he jumped up, quickly running down the stairs causing regulus to shake his head and slowly follow, soon getting to the bottom of the stairs and heading to his dorm.
When regulus entered the dorm, Evan and Barty were all over each other, regulus groaned and sat down on his bed. “Do you have to do that right now?” Regulus asked seeming annoyed. “Yes we do, fuck off if you don’t like it” Barty rolled his eyes after speaking and going back to kissing Evan. “You wanted me to go to this party and you’re not even ready” regulus said again with an annoyed tone. “Why don’t you get ready while we snog and then you can bother us about getting ready.” Barty replied with the same annoyed tone as regulus. “Whatever.” Regulus said before getting up and getting ready. He got changed into some black dress pants and a green cropped hoodie, sitting back down as Evan and Barty finally pulled away, getting dressed, Barty into a white tank top and black jeans. Evan into a green button up and black pants. The three boys did their hair together, regulus just fixing it, Barty scrunching it a little and Evan putting half of his dreads into a bun, leaving half out. Barty stabbed ahold of Evans hand and heading to the Gryffindor common room, regulus following close behind, his hands in his pockets.
James and Marlene had finished setting up not long before people started arriving, James seated on the couch, loud music playing as he looked around, Remus assumed he was looking for regulus. The moment regulus, Barty and Evan came in, James stood up, grabbing a drink from the table and starting to sip it. Evan and Barty grabbing a drink as well but regulus just looked around before following in Barty and Evan’s footsteps and grabbing a drink. Regulus usually started getting clingy at his 4th drink but he could handle up to 8 drinks. After a few drinks regulus started getting clingy to Barty, leaning and holding onto him. James took this opportunity to go over as he assumed Barty and Evan would want to go do their own thing.
“What’s up, potter?” Barty asked as James inched closer. “I’m assuming you and Evan would want to go of and do your own thing so I don’t mind taking care of reg if you want to go do that” James stated. “Actually yeah, do you mind?” Barty asked. “Hey! I do not need to be taken care of!” Regulus shouted offendedly, causing James to just look him up at down leaning on Barty. “Okay maybe I need to be taken care of a little bit.” Regulus said, giving in. “Exactly so let me take care of you.” James replied. “Fine.” Regulus said. Barty and Evan already leaving, regulus now leaning on James, who wrapped his arms around him, holding him up.
After regulus had a few more drinks, his words started slurring. “Mm james..can you take me back to my dorm?..I don’t want to be here anymore..” regulus commented. “Sure reg” James said as he helped reg to his dorm, helping him change before getting him into bed but before James could leave, regulus grabbed his hand. “Stay with me?” Regulus asked. “Okay” James smiled as he took off his red button up shirt and black pants, leaving him in his boxers. “Mind if I take some clothes these were uncomfortable” James asked while regulus looked at him starting to blush. “Yeah, yeah of course” regulus blurted out quickly as James grabbed out some of regulus’ clothes, changing into them before getting into bed with regulus. Regulus immediately wrapped his arms around James, holding him tightly before falling asleep. James stayed awake. An hour or so after reg fell asleep Barty and Evan came back, getting into bed slightly tipsy and falling asleep together, once James had realised they were all asleep he slowly drifted off too. At around four in the morning regulus jumped up and ran to the bathroom, kneeling in front of the toilet and throwing up. James had woke up due to movement and knocked on the bathroom door. “Reg, you alright?” James asked quietly so he didn’t wake up the other two boys. “No..” regulus replied. “Can I come in? Please?” James asked “mhm” was the only thing regulus could get out. James walked in, closing the door behind him as he sat down behind regulus, rubbing his back softly as he continued throwing up. After a few minutes, regulus stopped and stood up, flushing the toilet before washing his mouth and walked back to bed, James following him. Regulus got into bed, after James, getting into his arms. “James I like you..” regulus confessed half asleep. “I like you too reg” James smiles as he plays with regulus’ hair, the two of them soon falling asleep.
