Sirius Trouble
Remus’ POV
I lifted my boxes from the back of my car and turned to the apartment complex the show has for its contestants.
This time it would be LGBTQ themed and we would be having the same sex partners to remove gender and societal norms.
This was something I was extremely glad to be part of because my bisexuality was a major part of my life and I had discovered it at a tender age. It would also be more difficult for the celebrities but they could suck it up.
They get to have the easiest part of life.
I sighed and went to the room I was offered.
My roommate, James Potter, was a dancer also who trained with me in my early studios and visited me at my hospital during the attack. He is one of my close friends and I am eternally grateful for him. Plus I didn’t have to deal with Sirius until we started filming tomorrow.
I crumpled on my bed. James hadn’t arrived yet. I texted him but he didn’t reply yet. While lying down on my bed I went to check out the responses to a choreography I’d made and danced with my friend Lily Evans. She was also on the show and would be arriving soon.
I opened my Instagram and smiled at the amount of views. I had garnered about roughly over five million followers on my social media handle which was quite impressive in its own rights.
I was proud of dance and it was something that had pulled me out of a dark place when I couldn’t do it on my own. It was the one thing that made me feel beautiful even when my face in the mirror was enough to pull me into a dark space.
I opened my comments, smiled at the praises, ignored the hate, noted the genuine criticisms and noted the familiar ones to give emoji’s and thanks to. I grinned wider when I saw my main fan page.
The owner of the page had about fifteen thousand people following them. They have been supporting me since my career kicked off and they literally promoted me way better than my manager; making edits, posting my photo shoots and even little snips of my dance and posting my YouTube links.
@anythingforourmoony this choreography is really amazing <3
I paused and raised my eyebrow in confusion.
This was shocking.
Usually I get paragraphs of how amazing I am, how awesome the dance is and how they would fight anyone who says otherwise amongst others. I think this is the shortest comment I’ve ever gotten from them.
Maybe they were going through something.
Suddenly I felt completely selfish. Here I was caring only about myself when my biggest fan page runner could be having a really big problem. Or a bad day.
Deciding to do it before my social anxiety reared its ugly head I dropped a message into their inbox.
Remmy
Hi.
Sorry if this seems weird but I noticed your comment wasn’t as happy as usual.
If there is no issue I’m so sorry I overstepped.
But if there are I hope you find the strength to go through it.
Stay strong <3 <3<3
I left the page quickly before I deleted it.
I decided to check my competition and gasped in surprise. Sirius Black had dropped to thirty eight million followers. That was a huge loss.
The racism and homophobia scandal hadn’t died down instead it was going strong. Many people came out with stories of how awfully he treated them during his personal encounters with them. A director even came out and spoke about how Black got them to not put a gay couple in one of their scripts. All in all it was looking really bad. He still had defenders but they were reducing day by day.
I sighed. I unfortunately had to endure him for a while.
My door opened and a mop of black curls jumped on top of me while screaming excitedly “Remus! I missed you so much! Life isn’t just the same without you! I’m so glad we’re roommates! It would be just like old times! And_”
I rolled my eyes at the giant child I was literally carrying.
“James get the fuck off me. Plus why the fucking drama we were literally together last week” I said while placing his feet back on the ground.
He grinned at me, his hazel eyes shining brightly from behind his glasses.
“So have you met the other dancers? The receptionist said I was the last batch to arrive so everyone else is already here settling down. Guess who Lily is roomed with?” James asked and I raised an eyebrow intrigued.
“Mary Macdonald.”
“The YouTuber?”
“The YouTuber!”
Not having the strength to argue with James I followed him and we headed over to see Lily and her roommate who was someone we enjoyed watching.
James and I were chatting, catching up with each other [actually James was telling me everything he had already said before and I didn’t have the heart to tell him so I was giving adequate reactions] when we turned to the corner Lily lived someone crashed into my chest and sprawled on the floor.
One look down and I saw this person was on a skateboard however in my good faith I decided to ignore that and help them get up.
“I am so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going. I hope you’re okay” they mumbled as they stood up. As they lifted their head to meet mine. We both froze but Sirius recovered first and took a huge step back.
I wanted to give him the benefit of doubt and all but he turned and ran away immediately.
I snorted and looked at James who was starting to get frown lines around his forehead.
“ Well I’m in serious trouble.”
