Introduction
Before we truly start the story, it’s best that you get to know the teams and their drivers. Because otherwise, it might get very confusing very fast.
We’ll start with our FIA, which means “Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile”. They make the rules and are basically the “big boss” of F1. So, in this story, Hogwarts takes this role. All complaints are made to them and they decide when a penalty is given.
Next up we have the teams. Formula One consists of 10 teams and 20 drivers, which is the same in this fic. Each team has a team principal; someone who is the face of the team and makes decisions regarding the drivers and the car. Besides the team principal, there are countless mechanics and engineers and strategists who keep the car running and make sure they’re able to win a Grand Prix. Most of them will be unnamed characters (except a few important ones ;) ) And of course, I can’t forget, the two drivers of the team. They drive the car and are teammates but at the same time each other's biggest rivals (looking at you Brocedes)
Because of the vastness of the F1 community, there will also be some OC’s because I simply couldn’t fill every spot with an existing character and have the plot make sense.
But without further ado, the teams and their people:
- Team Gryffindor: Led by team principal Max Stadden
driver Frank Longbottom has been in the sport for 5 years and drives under the British flag while his teammate Alice Fortescue has been in the sport for 3 years and drives under the Finnish flag.
- Team Hufflepuff: Led by team principal Andrew Woodford
Driver Emmeline Vance enters her rookie season and drives under the Polish flag while her teammate Amelia Bones starts her 2nd year and drives under the Irish flag.
- Team Slytherin: Led by team principal Orion Black with both rookie drivers this year, much to the surprise to anyone. The team will be joined by both Regulus Black, who drives under the Monegasque flag, and Barty Crouch, who drives under the Italian flag.
- Team Ravenclaw: Led by the experienced team principal Filius Filtwick, driver Xenophilius Lovegood starts his 4th year with this team, driving under the flag of New Zealand, while his teammate Pandora Rosier starts her 2nd year in the sport, driving under the French flag.
- Marauders Racing: A racing team that emerged last season and immediately took the world championship, creating F1 history. This team is led by team principal Minerva McGonagall, driver Sirius Black who won the championship last season starts his 4th year in F1 and drives under the Monegasque flag while his teammate James Potter will start his 3rd year and will drive under the British flag (much to the dismay of the Spanish fans, who would’ve loved to see him race under the flag of his father).
- Team Death Eater: A notorious team with a mysterious aura around it, led by team principal Tom Riddle. Alexi Avery is the more experienced driver of the pair, starting his 5th year in the sport and driving under the Dutch flag while his teammate Bruce Mulciber has been in the sport for 4 years and drives under the American flag.
- Team Valkyries Motor: A woman-led team with only women drivers, Valkyries Motor prides itself in its feminine energy while still being a top team. Led by team principal Elizabeth Court, Mary Macdonald enters her 4th year and drives under the Belgian flag while her teammate Marlene Mckinnon starts her 3rd year in the sport and drives under the Norwegian flag.
- Team Butterbeer Racing: A relatively new team with lots to learn but with the right spirit to soon reach the top step. Led by team principal Lilith Greengrass, Dorcas Meadowes will start her 3rd year in the sport, under the Austrian flag, while her teammate Evan Rosier will join the team in his rookie year, driving under the French flag like his twin sister.
- Team Phoenix Rising: Led by the legendary team principal Alastor Moody, Logan Ashworth will start his 5th year in the sport, driving under the German flag, with his teammate Lily Evans, who is in her 2nd year in F1 and drives under the British flag.
- Team Quidditch Falcons: Last but definitely not least, the team that got second place in the championship last season. Led by team principal Kingsley Shacklebolt, both the Prewett twins drive for this team. Fabian Prewett entering his 3rd year while Gideon is entering his 2nd. Both of them driving under the Scottish flag.
