Death, Chaos, and Fate, Oh My!
Riven, Tavit, and the two Gheyo they brought with them were heading for the wizard bank to speak to the goblins. They would be their quickest way of getting information about what was going on with the Wixen.
“We are here to see you king,” Riven stated when he stepped up to the podium.
“And you are?” The Goblin asked without looking up.
“Guests he will want to speak to. We are here about Albus Dumbledore,” Riven answered with a roll of his eyes. The Goblin looked up and then seemed surprised.
“Dragel, I thought the last of you had gone a few months ago,” the goblin stated curiously.
“I do not know whether there are still Dragel here or not. I simply need to speak with your king about an issue that involves my Submissive,” Riven responded.
“Follow me,” the goblin instructed. He led the four Dragel to a large double door that was set into the wall far behind them. He knocked on the door and then slipped inside. Riven and the others waited.
While they waited, Riven checked out the Gheyo that had been sent with them. One of them was an Earth Queen who often took jobs off realm Riven didn’t know her very well but if Raspen trust her to have their back then so be it.
The other was Devrim a peculiar little mix of creatures. He was Storm Dragel, Were Hyena, and Vampire. He was also a Realm Runner and grandson to the unofficial leader of the Storm Dragel, Lady Bianca. She had been in a meeting with Raspen when Riven and Tavit had shown up and had offered Devrim to them when they had asked for Gheyo.
Riven watched the twitchy little Dragel and smirked. Harry would like him.
“You are scheming,” Tavit pointed out.
“I am,” Riven agreed. “Harry has decided to Hunt this season.”
“Yes, he has. What does that have to do with that look on your face?” Tavit asked.
“I believe I am going to introduce the Realm Runner to our Little Snake,” Riven answered. “I believe he would fit right in. He seems like Harry’s type, and we are in need of two Princes.”
“So, you have decided to embrace the Chaos of our lives,” Tavit pointed out.
“Oh, yes. I find I am looking forward to what is going to come for us next,” Riven said with a grin.
“Well, I have always said you are a reckless idiot,” Tavit said with a sigh. “But I do agree with you. I think Harry would love him.”
“The King will see you now, follow me,” the goblin announced.
The four Dragel followed the goblin down a long hall and down a long flight of stairs that ended in a massive cavern. There was a throne at the other end of it with a Goblin sitting in it.
“Welcome back to Earth,” Nipmonger greeted them. “Unfortunately, I do not have good news to share with you.”
“So, our little Submissive was right after all. Albus Dumbledore is not dead or in custody,” Tavit said with a roll of his eyes. Riven grinned.
“That is correct. The old man has managed to evade every attempt to capture him. Now, he and his husband are holding rally’s and gaining quite the following. Our intelligence shows that they are planning a coupe of the ministry as soon as they have gathered enough of a following,” Nipmonger informed them.
“This, while bad news for Wixen, will make my Aces very happy. They are going to enjoy coming down here and ripping that man to pieces for his crimes against our Submissive,” Riven pointed out.
“We agreed to let you handle him in your own way so that you could have your justice but seeing as he is still out and about causing trouble we are going to step in and clean it up,” Tavit added.
“Our treaty with the Wixen prevents us from interfering with Wixen affairs that do not directly involve us and this is a Wixen problem. We risk war if we get involved,” Nipmonger said reluctantly.
“Well you could always help out and then relocate. Earth isn’t your only option as a race. You could move to Nevarah even temporarily until you find a new realm to thrive in,” Riven pointed out.
“Earth is the home of our ancestors, and we have fought many bloody battles to keep it. We will not give up on it now,” Nipmonger declined.
“It was home to our people at one time as well. But when it was time to move on in order to avoid being hunted down like animals, we did so. Now we are thriving in a realm of our own,” Riven countered.
“Maybe one day we will get to that point, but we haven’t reached it just yet,” Nipmonger stated with a shrug.
“Well, then this is our warning to you that we are coming. Please, don’t get in our way. We will avenge our Submissive,” Riven warned.
“This is the business of Wixen. We handed them Albus Dumbledore on a silver platter and they let him slip through their fingers. May you have better luck then they did,” Nipmonger wished them luck.
“Oh, we will,” Tavit said with a grin. He took a deep breath and then the shadows around him thickened for a moment before shooting out and dissolving into the shadows around them.
His shadows weren’t just shadows they were powered with Necromancy. They would be able to slip past any wards and they would find the Old Wixen. Once they did, they would attach themselves to him and report back to Tavit.
“Are you going to be here long?” Nipmonger asked them.
“Hopefully not, we are simply going to do a bit of recon and then return home with the information. Our Submissive wants nothing more to do with Earth and we don’t blame him. But Albus Dumbledore poses a threat to him that we cannot ignore,” Riven answered. “If we are here longer, we will simply stay in one of our Submissive’s homes.”
“I have him,” Tavit said with a far away look in his eyes.
“Impressive,” Nipmonger said with a smirk. “Shame that Wixen are so narrow minded when it comes to things they feel threatened by. If they had your skills at their disposal they could have handled many Dark Lords before they became a serious problem.”
“Their loss,” Devrim snarked quietly.
“It absolutely is,” Riven agreed.
“Are we ready? He is currently stationary,” Tavit asked them. “May we open a portal in here?”
“Go ahead. Happy Hunting,” Nipmonger said in farewell. Tavit nodded and drew runes in the air in front of him. A rip appeared in front of him made of Shadows. He waved them through, and the Earth Queen stepped threw first followed by Devrim and then Riven before Tavit followed them through.
“Where are we?” Riven asked. Tavit pointed to a house in the distance.
“He is in there with two other men,” Tavit stated. “I didn’t want to port directly into the house in case they had wards of some sort that would alert them to our presence.”
“Good choice. We will do a quick run around the building and see what we can detect,” Sarah, the Earth Queen stated.
“Go ahead, we will wait here,” Riven agreed. Devrim took off at a run behind the Queen and the other two waited.
“I feel Torvak around here,” Tavit said after a few moments. Riven did a quick spell with his staff and frowned.
“There are Torvak here. Too many. We may need to just go. We were instructed not to engage,” Riven confirmed.
“Yeah, we will wait for the other two to return and we will go. We confirmed that the man still lives and that was all we were sent to do anyways,” Tavit agreed.
Before Riven could respond they could hear the sounds of fighting. Tavit laughed.
“Or maybe we are fighting. I think a bit our Submissive’s Chaotic Touch followed us down here,” Tavit stated. Riven laughed as well and then the two of them took off toward the sounds of fighting.

Harry was standing between his Alpha and his Dad while they were waiting for an audience with Aiden. Harry was curious about the stares they kept receiving from people that seemed to be a bit intimidated. Then he remembered that Nefarion was standing at his back and laughed.
He looked up at the half demon and could see why other people were looking at them cautiously. He had all of his attributes on full display like he usually did. So, his horns, wings, claws, and fangs were really hard to miss. Plus, he had refused to put on a shirt no matter how much Kyron had insisted he needed to wear one.
So, he looked like a true Demon Warrior. Well, what Harry imagined a Demon Warrior looked like. There was a chuckle and Harry and the rest of his bonded looked up to see a very handsome man making his way to the throne.
He was pale but not in a sickly way with straight dark hair and bright red eyes. And powerful. Harry could feel it.
“You didn’t tell me that you were bringing Demons into my court, Reaper,” the man said and shot an amused look at Hadrian.
“Is there something wrong with that?” Harry asked quickly. Ready to defend both Nefarion and Kyron if he needed to.
“No, it is just proper to warn a person when Royalty is visiting,” the man stated and inclined his head.
“I am not royalty,” Nefarion answered sharply. “Don’t start rumors, Hellhound.”
“Your Third and Sire are not currently the reigning King and Queen of the Hell Realms?” the Hellhound asked curiously.
“They are,” Nefarion admitted. Harry looked up at the Demon who simply carded his fingers through Harry’s hair. “I am no longer associated with my family. I have not been for many years. I was no part of their rise to power and do not claim the title they try to give me.”
“Man, that explains so much about why you are so powerful and secretive,” Kyron said with a laugh. “Think you know a guy after working and living together for a few decades.”
“You know what you need to know,” Nefarion stated and flicked his tail out and rapped Kyron over the head with it. “Don’t start.”
“Seriously, you are like a fun sucker,” Kyron said while he pouted and rubbed his head.
“Can we get back to the reason we are here?” Nefarion asked. Harry chuckled and leaned back so that he was touching the half Demon.
“Of course, we can. I hear you have a few questions about a Death Blessing,” Aiden stated.
“Yes, because of this,” Hadrian answered and indicated the shadows behind them.
‘Erebus come,’ Harry instructed and his Beast stalked out of the shadows with glowing green eyes. It nuzzled Harry before sitting down between him and Salazar.
“A Shadowsworn,” Aiden said sitting up straighter in his chair. “Interesting indeed. Come forward little Submissive.”
Harry nodded and stepped forward. Erebus walked beside him and Nefarion stayed at his back. Harry stopped when he was at the bottom of the few stairs that led up to the throne.
“Don’t trust me with your Submissive, Demon Prince?” Aiden asked with a laugh.
“No, your idea of humor is questionable at times, and he is precious to me,” Nefarion stated simply.
“I would be offended but I know your reputation,” Aiden answered. He stood from hid throne and stepped down until he was directly in front of Harry. “Make sure your Beast doesn’t bite me.”
‘Erebus, sit. Peace.’ Harry instructed and Erebus laid down at Harry’s feet.
“I didn’t mean that one,” Aiden said and chuckled when Nefarion growled. Harry didn’t even flinch when Nefarion raised a clawed hand that burst into flame.
“Don’t tempt me, Hound,” Nefarion warned. Harry reached up and placed a hand on Nefarion’s arm. The flames disappeared before his hand ever touched the other man.
“Peace, Rion,” Harry said and then kissed the palm of the half Demon’s hand. Nefarion visibly relaxed and Aiden chuckled. Harry turned to him with an innocent smile and glint in his green eyes. “Stop teasing him or I will be happy to let him rip off your arms.” Aiden held up his hands in surrender.
“I am done teasing for now,” Aiden promised. “I am going to touch you now. It shouldn’t hurt. Ok?”
“Ok,” Harry consented. Aiden placed his hands on either side of Harry’s face and closed his eyes. Harry could feel the Hellhounds magic searching through him. Then he felt the magic retreat and Aiden removed his hands from Harry before stepping back up and sitting on his throne.
Harry moved back until he was in his original place between Salazar and Tom. Salazar kissed him and Tom let Harry link their fingers together. Erebus retreated back into the Shadows amongst their bonded.
“He is definitely touched by our Lady. But I cannot tell if it is a Blessing or a if she has claimed his soul for her own. The only way to know for sure is to summon her here and ask,” Aiden finally stated.
“What would that cost us?” Hadrian asked him.
“I do not know. Most times she waits until after the transaction to let you know what summoning her will cost you. Do you want to do this?” Aiden asked.
“Yes,” Salazar answered. “We will deal with the consequences as they come. We need to know if he is Immortal Blessed or not.”
“Very well, we will start by….” Aiden was cut off when a portal opened up in the middle of the room and three Dragel rushed in carrying a fourth. The portal closed and Harry gasped when he realized who it was.
The Dragel turned at the sound of his gasp and two of them looked guilty.
“What happened to only watching?” Harry demanded. “I told you it was dangerous. I told you.” Harry stated as he looked up at his Alpha. “Amon!” Harry called out and his healer stepped up from toward the back of their group and hurried over to the four newcomers.
“It’s ok, Little Snake,” Riven promised as he pulled Harry into his arms. Harry was looking him over for wounds. “I am fine. Barely a few scratches.” Harry drew the ruins that he had been taught for healing small wounds and then kissed Riven before turning to Tavit.
“No need to fuss over me, Love. I have already healed my wounds. The Earth Queen took the worst of it. She was the one they attacked first. They were caught off guard when they were running the perimeter to check things out,” Tavit explained.
“Well, that and the Prince. He took a blow meant for Tavit. He is hurt worse than he is letting on. Make sure he is tended to,” Riven spoke up.
Harry turned to the Gheyo that had been with his men. Sure enough, he was attempting to edge away from the fussing. He was holding his side and Harry could see the blood spilling out between his fingers.
“Hadrian,” Harry called out. The Ace was standing next to him in a moment. “Don’t let the Prince escape. He needs to be tended to and thanked for saving Tavit.” Hadrian nodded and let his Shadows swallow him and pull him away. Harry turned back to Amon and the wounded Gheyo. Hadrian would handle the Prince.
“Your Chaos followed us to Earth,” Tavit accused.
“Don’t blame your misfortune on my baby,” Bellatrix snipped. “He wasn’t even there. He didn’t even want you to go.”
“It’s ok, Mum. He is only being his usual grumpy self. That’s his default emotion,” Harry said with a laugh. “Is she ok, Amon?”
“Yeah, she is going to be fine. She will need a few days to recover but she can be taken to the clinic for further seeing to,” Amon answered.
“The two of you,” Aiden pointed to two of his people. “Take her to the nearest clinic in the Earth Sections.”
“Yes, Sir,” They stated and then lifted the Gheyo on a stretcher between them and carried her out. Harry then turned to see Hadrian holding the Prince by the back of the neck behind him.
“Thank you, Hadrian,” Harry said with a smile. “Come on, Brave Prince. Let my Healer see to you so that we can thank you for protecting our grumpy Necromancer.”
“You don’t need to do that,” the Prince insisted but Hadrian led him forward and made him hold still so that Amon could check him over.
“I’m Harry,” the Submissive introduced himself.
“Devrim,” the Prince said with a wince. Amon was still poking around at his wound. “This really is not necessary,” He said and flashed bright red eyes up at Harry before ducking his head again quickly.
Wikhn’s eyes were that red sometimes when he was having issues with his Blood Lust.
“Do you need blood?” Harry asked him. Devrim looked at him surprised.
“You would offer it?” Devrim asked and Harry chuckled.
“No, my bonded would never let someone outside of our circle put their fangs anywhere near me. But maybe we can get some for you if it will help,” Harry answered honestly.
“I will donate,” Hadrian offered.
“Thank you, Hadrian,” Harry said with a brilliant smile. “So, do you need it?”
“It would help to calm my instincts and to heal faster. But I would never ask anyone. There are places I can go to get what I need,” Devrim answered.
“Nonsense, my lovely Ace has offered. You should accept it,” Harry insisted. “Think of it as our thank you for protecting Tavit.”
Hadrian held out his arm and Wikhn was there to remove the armor on his forearm. Harry rolled up his sleeve for him and then the Ace offered his arm to the Prince whose eyes were mesmerizing with how red they were. He sunk teeth into Hadrian’s arms that didn’t look like Dragel fangs at all.
“Oh, no wonder you need the blood,” Harry said with a smile. “You should have simply told us that you are part Vampire. Of course, the blood helps.”
When Devrim had taken a few mouths full of blood he pulled away with a blush. Harry rolled Hadrian’s sleeve back down and Wikhn replaced the armor.
“Sorry,” he said and ducked his head.
“For what?” Harry asked. The Prince looked back at Harry surprised.
“You aren’t bothered?” Devrim asked him.
“Should I be?” Harry responded curiously. “Am I missing something?”
“No, Love. You aren’t missing anything. Even in a sanctuary realm people can be a bit xenophobic,” Salazar answered.
“Oh, people treat you badly because of your mixed heritage?” Harry asked a bit upset. “That is so stupid. I hate judgy people. I will tell you like I told my Rion. Something like that has never bothered me and it never will. How are you feeling now?”
“Much better, thank you,” Devrim said with a hesitant smile.
“Of course you do,” Jasper said and gently rapped the Prince on his shoulder. “Our Ace’s blood is full of power. It comes with the territory of being Blood Raven.”
“If we are all done with the fluff can we get back to the reason you are here?” Aiden asked sounding a bit annoyed.
“Oh, right,” Harry said with a blush. “Don’t be a stranger, Devrim. You are even welcome to come and train with my Gheyo. You will find no prejudice in our home.”
“Thank you, Submissive Slytherin,” Devrim said with a small smile.
“Harry, please,” Harry corrected. Devrim nodded and Hadrian released him. The Prince quickly made his exit, and the others turned back to the Hellhound waiting on his throne.
“Chaos blessed I am sure of it,” Tavit informed the Hellhound.
“I am starting to agree,” Aiden said with a laugh. Harry just shrugged and let his dad, Rodolphus, pull him into a hug.
“Sorry,” he said with a blush.
“Nothing to be done for it. Let’s just move on so that we can complete our task,” Aiden stated. “I have a feeling this is going to be quite interesting.”
~~~~~~~~~
“You are being summoned,” Chaos said with a grin. He was currently repairing a lamp that he had knocked into and broken. Death rolled her eyes and closed her eyes. When she opened them she was glaring at her brother.
“Yeah, for your pet,” Death snapped. “I do not understand why the little thing keeps being sent to me. I have already placed a blessing on him at your request I will not handle whatever they are calling for.”
“Well, you know how it goes when I decide to bless someone,” Chaos said with a shrug and a laugh. “One of you always get dragged in for one reason or another. My children need the balance to keep from completely devastating those around them.”
“This one seems a bit more trouble than the others,” Death said with a sigh. “Come on. I am not going alone. He is yours; I am only offering favor to off balance your Chaos. Well, that and he is bonded to a few of my lovelies.”
“Where are we going?” Fate said as she strolled into the room.
“What are you even doing here?” Death asked grumpily.
“I knew Chaos was dropping in for a visit and I just came by to make sure the two of you didn’t try to kill each other,” Fate answered. “Now, where are we going?”
“Our brother and I are going to see to his current favorite child. I am being summoned for some reason and I refuse to answer the summons alone. You are staying here. I won’t have the two of you stirring up trouble in my court,” Death stated firmly.
“Nonsense,” Fate said with a tinkling laugh. “Besides, his sister is mine and I may or may not have given him a gift that he wouldn’t have otherwise inherited.”
“This is getting out of hand. What is it with this boy?” Death exclaimed. “Fine, let’s just get this over with.”
Death threw her hands up and out and caused a rip in the space in front of her. With Chaos on one side and fate on the other, the three of them stepped through into a suddenly very quiet room.
“My Ladies, My Lord, you honor us all with your presence here today,” Aiden responded quickly. He pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. He could feel the headache forming already.
“Why was I summoned?” Death asked as if she didn’t already know. She looked down at that tiny little Submissive gaping up at her in shock. Not Chaos, whom he belonged to, but her as if he was surprised to see her.
“I know you,” He said quietly.
“You don’t,” Death answered. She had of course met him at least three times but he absolutely shouldn’t remember that. No mortal ever remember their time in the Realm of Immortals.
“I know I do. I…I don’t remember how but there is this feeling,” He said and gripped his chest. “I have known you.”
Death sighed and glared over at Chaos who was laughing and fixing a picture that he had knocked crooked.
“This is your fault,” Death stated.
“Yeah, I know. Hello Little One,” Chaos greeted. He stumbled down the stairs and righted himself before pulling Harry into a hug.
“Hi,” Harry said with a smile. There was a rumble before a crack appeared in the floor near them. Harry looked at it and then up at the grinning man.
“Our fault,” He said and then indicated himself and Harry. “You are my Favored Child and the two of us being so close for too long in this realm will be a bit disastrous.”
“Oh, so then my bonded were right. I am Chaos Blessed,” Harry said with a laugh.
“Yes, you are. And I am so proud of you and just wanted you to know it,” Chaos told him before kissing him on the head and quickly making his way back across the room. He waved his hand and fixed the crack in the floor.
“Please, can we get to the reason I was summoned before my court crumbles around us,” Death insisted.
“We asked for you to be summoned so that we could learn whether he had been Blessed or claimed by you,” Salazar spoke up.
“Why would you assume he was mine in any capacity? He carries no seals or anything that would point you in my direction,” Death stated with irritation.
“I have this,” Harry said with a smile. ‘Erebus’
The large Shadow Beast once again trotted out of the shadows and prowled in front of him.
“I was told he is a Shadowsworn and that only those who had been to your realm and back with a blessing could create them,” Harry stated as he nuzzled the Beast.
“Chaos blessed indeed,” said the unidentified woman with a laugh. “I think he may actually be your most Chaotic Child to date.”
“Yes, Sister I believe he is,” Chaos said. The tone of his voice could not be mistaken for anything other than pride.
“Tell me, is there anything else that ties you to me that you have yet to reveal?” Death asked. Harry shook his head no but Hadrian stepped forward.
“I have spoken with Harry’s Sire and learned a few interesting things that may also tie him to you,” Hadrian stated.
“Reveal it, Reaper,” Death said with a sigh.
“May I, Love?” Hadrian asked and indicated Harry’s bag. Harry nodded curiously. Hadrian reached in and pulled out Harry’s cloak.
“That is mine,” Death stated surprised. “How did it come to be in your possession, Child of Chaos?”
“Oh, this manipulative old man gave it to me for Christmas when I was eleven. He said it was an old Potter heirloom that had been passed down from father to son for many generations,” Harry answered.
Death strode forward and pulled both of Harry’s hands into her own. She stared at his palms and then up into his eyes for a few moments.
“You are a descendent from my favored line but not that branch. You are from Cadmus not Ignotus. How is it this ‘old man’ came to have my cloak?” Death asked him.
“I think he stole it,” Harry admitted. “He did a lot of things in order to manipulate me into eventually killing my own father. He is a bad man and we still don’t completely understand why he did the things he did.”
“Well, however it happened, you have come to possess one of my Hallows. You are the rightful heir to another Hallow,” She stated and turned to Tom.
“Where is the stone?” she asked him. Tom slipped the ring off his finger and held it out. Death took it in her hands and then sighed before handing it to Harry. “Put it on.”
“But,” Harry said and looked over at his dad.
“It’s alright, son. It was going to be yours anyway,” Tom assured him. Harry slipped it on to his finger and Death placed the cloak on his shoulders.
“You are missing one. The Death Stick,” Death informed him. She looked up at Nefarion. “Your two Reapers will claim it for you.”
“Two?” Harry asked.
“Yes, Your Shadow Ace is one of mine and so is your Demon,” Death answered.
“I didn’t know you were a Reaper,” Harry said with a smile.
“I don’t advertise it. Sometimes a secret like that can help get you out of a tough situation if someone underestimates you,” Nefarion responded.
“Oh, that makes sense,” Harry said. The he turned back to Death. “Does that mean you are sending them away?”
“Only long enough to retrieve my last Hallow. They can start with the old man who gave you the cloak. If he had access to one Hallow then he may have at least knowledge of the others,” Death told him.
“Oh,” Harry said a bit unhappily.
“This is not a gift, Child of Chaos,” Death informed him. “I have decided that I will make you their caretaker. People will come for them now that they are back in the world. You will defend them or suffer the consequences.”
“But” Harry started. Then she glared at him, and he stopped. “You still feel familiar. I don’t believe you that we haven’t met.”
“Believe what you want,” Death answered and stepped back up the dais. “Your Reapers have one month, Nevarah time, to retrieve my Hallow and place it in your possession. I imagine you will keep your circle on their toes. A Child of Chaos that is Fate touched and Death Blessed.” She laughed as she opened a portal and stepped through it.
“Be well, Child and know that I am watching,” Chaos said before he waved and followed Death through the rip. The third Lady stepped down the dais and placed a gentle kiss to Harry’s head.
He saw an image of himself as a baby being cradled in Death’s arms as she cleaned blood from the fresh scar on his head, then he saw himself at five being wrapped in a blanket by Death as she hummed to him at rocked with him by a fire, there were other images.
Every one of them was at an age or time when he thought he had narrowly escaped Death but apparently he hadn’t. Death had comforted and cared for him each time before sending him back into his body.
Harry blinked up at the pretty Lady still holding his face in her hands. She smiled at him and then stepped back.
“A mortal never remembers when they have visited the Realm of Immortals. I am giving you this gift so that you know she isn’t as uncaring as she seems. If you have need of us, we are watching. Tell your sister ‘Hi’ for me please,” she said and then walked away.
“Who should I tell her the message is from?” Harry asked just before she stepped into the portal.
“Fate of course,” she said and then stepped into the portal that sealed behind her.
“Well, I think that about does it for you all,” Aiden said with a sigh. “Now, please in the nicest way possible ‘get out’.”
“Thank you for all of your help,” Harry said with a bow. “Sorry for all of the trouble.”
“Yeah, well that isn’t exactly your fault is it? Considering the Immortals have made a plaything out of you,” Aiden said and then waved them away.
Harry, his parents, and his bonded quickly left and ported back home. This had been one heck of a day.
~~~~~~~~~~~
“What did you do?” Death asked her sister when the portal was closed behind her.
“Nothing,” she said with a smile. “Well, I did give Harry a small gift but it is nothing for you to worry over.”
“I have a feeling that isn’t true at all,” Death said with a sigh. “Please, the two of you get out. I need a bath and a bit of quiet.”
“See you later, little sister,” Chaos said and kissed her on the cheek before narrowly missing the coffee table on his wait out of the house. He pulled the door knob off when he opened the door and laughed as he closed it behind him.
“You as well,” Death said when Fate didn’t move.
“I don’t think the world would end if you let that boy know you care for him,” Fate stated with a smile.
“I don’t know what you mean,” Death answered.
“He could feel it, Sister. His soul knows yours,” Fate pointed out.
“Of course, it does. All souls know me,” Death stated.
“It isn’t the same and you know it,” Fate responded. “He is special to you. We will keep watch over him. He has suffered enough.”
“Quite,” Death agreed. Then she left Fate standing in her sitting room and headed to her bathroom to relax.
Fate sighed and then left her sister to herself. Death was so stubborn sometimes.
