Hermione and Draco started studying together more often.

They quickly became top of the class, and eventually Hermione grew feelings for Draco.

One night when they were silently reading, Hermione closed her book.
“Draco, I need to tell you something.” she said.

“Yeah?” Draco asked.

“Listen, I like you, and I can’t keep pretending I don’t.”
Draco looked at Hermione in shock before replying.

“I like you too,” he said. Hermione beamed. After a couple days Draco asked Hermione to be his girlfriend, to which, of course, she said yes. They hung out often, but kept their relationship hidden from everyone else. They knew something bad would happen if Harry or Ron found out.
