Don't leave Teddy in charge
It was a normal day at number 12 Grimmauld place, well as normal as it could be having 5 kids plus Teddy running around.
'Alright Teddy we will be back in one hour, are you sure you can handle them?' Harry has a worried look on his face, 'One of us can stay.'
'Harry I'll be fine I promise.' Teddy looks at him, smiling slightly, 'You guys deserve a night out after all you've done for us, please it's the least I can do. Really. I know I'm only 15, but It's only one hour.'
Draco snakes his hands around Harry's waist from behind, 'Come on Harry they will be fine.' He kisses his cheek and starts to head off to the car that contained an already waiting Ron and Hermione.
'All right fine, but be careful, and do not under any circumstances go into aunt Hermione's office ok? It is a complete recipe for disaster in there.' He wraps Teddy in a hug, 'Be safe.' Harry lets go and walks out the door, locking it behind him.
Teddy turns around just in time to see James and Scorpius heading hastily up the stairs. 'This can not be good' he sighs, starting to rush up the stairs behind them, this triggers the other kids' curiosity and they follow as well.
Teddy looks behind him, cries internally, and turns back around to not see the boys in question, but to see a very open door to a soon to be very angry aunt Hermione. 'No, no, no, no the one rule, the one blasted rule! I'm never babysitting again'
'Uh Teddy..' Rose cautiously peeked her head through the door, 'They have a time turner and I don't think that they know that.'
Teddy probably gets whiplash from how fast he ran into that room, pushing Rose in as well. 'NO! STOP!' He shouts, but it's too late. A cloud of golden smoke surrounds, Teddy now realises all of the children that were- still are in his care.
After what feels like a lifetime, they all get chucked to the ground. It's not any old ground though, it's the grass right in front of the one and only hogwarts. Teddy groans.
'Is everyone ok?' he does a quick headcount that reveals yes all the children are here with him. He's so gonna get murdered when- if they ever get back. He casts a quick tempus charm, revealing that it was the 20th of september 1995. 'Well shit.'
James and Scorpius look at each other before looking at their older cousin.
'We didn't mean it-' James starts before Teddy quickly shuts him up.
'What you did was so wrong, you defied the literal only rule your dad set! You are in so much trouble!' He sighs 'But we can't worry about that now, ok? We have to worry about getting back.'
Alula starts to sob. 'I want daddy' she cried, Teddy picked her up and shushed her, Rose doing the same for Hugo. She may only be twelve, but she has some crazy parental instincts.
'Uh why are we here?' Scorpius wonders aloud, quietly but not quiet enough for Rose's sharp hearing.
She turns around and looks at him, a menacing look on her face. Nearly as scary as aunt Hermione. Nearly. 'That was a time turner you blithering idiots! What is actually wrong with you guys!? That could have been anything! It could have killed you!' Tears start to form in her eyes, she angrily blinks them back. 'And all because of your carelessness!'
Both boys shift their gaze to the floor.
'Come on Rose, leave them alone for now. We need to stick together to get out of here, you can have a go at them, but when we get home and safe.'
She sighs but nods. Fighting wouldn't get them anywhere. Even if it was justified.
'Come on guys, there's only one person I know in this time that has a time turner.'
Rose looked horrified. 'We can not go to mum! We might mess up the timeline!'
'What other choice do we have?' He looks at her, 'the time turner is nowhere in sight. We have to Rose. They can be obliviated after, ok?'
The girl sighs yet again and readjusts the sniffling boy on the hip, 'fine but this is your fault'
He gives her an annoyed look but does a head count, 'all right guys, let's do this.'
