Neville didn't know when he'd become an expert in Herbology but it'd happened. He also didn't know when he'd become good with animals.
War truly changed people, but it seemed with him… it was for the better, loathe as he was to admit.
"Neville!" Ginny whispered. The meadow was silent, with the exception of their expedition group. "What should we do now, you're the expert."
"Just because I know more doesn't make me an expert," he said, but she glared at him.
"Fine, fine. The birds are leaving. We should follow them for warmth."
They all blinked at him. "Follow the birds?"
"Yes. Look around. The forest is destitute of any other animals and plants. This meadow clearly is the only place you can find worms and insects for the birds to feed. The trees over there are called 'La Rocha'- they're poisonous trees. That's why there's no other animals, just birds. But the birds have to be having their nests somewhere. If we follow them, we might find a safe space for the night."
"Right," Harry said. "Just avoid those trees."
"Yes." Neville nodded.
Next time, he'd get Luna and her husband to come with them. Being an animal/plant expert on Auror missions wasn't really his thing. He preferred research.
