Hermione came home to find the entire living room filled with sweets: candy, chocolate cake, cookies, scones…treacle tarts…chocolate frogs…
"Severus! We are not expecting that many trick or treaters! It's supposed to rain later too! Don't you think this is too much candy?"
He laughed at her. For a moment Hermione marvelled at it, for so long she'd been used to him being stone faced and grumpy…. The end of the war had done him good. But it was all just for one moment because she went back to glaring at the amount of sweets he'd gotten.
"Don't be silly, there is no such thing as too much candy! Besides, if no trick or treaters come, we can eat it ourselves!"
Hermione snorted. "You're talking with the daughter of two dentists. I assure you, there is such a thing as too much candy. It's all a trick for the treat you'll see. "
Severus frowned. "What do you mean?"
"The candy tricks you into eating it, thinking it's a treat! Then the teeth will hurt and you shall see! It's a threat! A curse!"
His reply was cut off by the bell ringing.
"Trick or treat?" Could be heard from the outside. "Anyone has any candy?"
