Severus should have known it was too good to be true. Poison under sweetness was the blasted Weasley. Of course she'd go back to Potter in the end.
Of course Potter would get the girl once more.
You deserve it, you bastard. She was your student…and she looks like Lily.
But she's not. Hasn't she shown you that? Maybe she just…was letting Harry know that she married you..and she was off age. She pushed us into a relationship.
Besides, of course she'd hug him. He saved everyone?
"Severus?" Ginny's Weasley came through.
He braced himself for surely the breakup words. He was certain Nagini's bite had hurt less.
"Yes?" His voice was croaky from the bite.
She came so close, she was now next to him. "What do you want for dinner? Harry is currently making sure to clear your name. But for now I think we should stay in the hospital wing till you are back to being full strength."
"So... you're choosing me?" He hated how small his voice was.
Ginny narrowed her eyes and then softly smiled, bending down to kiss him. "Silly man, I already did."
And she raised her left hand where a golden band shone shone, the sunset light reflecting in the darkening room.
