Chapter 1
Tywin Lannister held his new daughter in his arms.
The girl's eyes were golden and there was a celebration as his wife continued in labor for the girl's twin. In the Lannister family there were two things to celebrate at the birth of a child. The golden twins, two perfect children in every way. Each pair of Lannister twins had achieved excellence. And the boy of pure gold, a boy with golden eyes that brought wealth, fame and glory to the family name. A golden-eyed boy who was born once every two or three hundred years.
From the golden flecks in his eyes Tywin had surpassed his older twin and become the heir to the ruined house of Lannister. And now they were the richest of the seven kingdoms.
A girl with completely golden eyes, who knew that she would bring good luck. Her hair was fine and blond, but her eyes gazed out at the world with fascination and amazing intelligence. So much so that Tywin shuddered, those young eyes seemed to hold all the secrets of the world within them.
If Cersei didn't make it, this girl would be queen. The Lannister family would finally achieve their goal of being related to the Targaryens
- I want to see my sister! – Nine-year-old Cersei said it with a pout while Jamie just nodded next to her
Tywin crouched down showing the girl. She smiled in her father's arms and moved closer to her father's chest.
-This is Tianna Lannister, your new sister
A giggle drew Tywin's attention to one of the man's brothers and he left Tianna in the arms of her would-be wet nurse as she was lulled to sleep by her older siblings.
-You are not very subtle to mark that girl as yours. "Ty" from Tywin and "Anna" from Joanna
-She is the golden girl and the heiress of the Lannisters, I feel proud
Hours passed as labor continued and everyone grew concerned. Tianna had been born easily, but this second baby was troublesome.
At the end of the night Tywin looked at the misshapen body of his youngest son, a dwarf. And between the sheets was the lifeless body of his beloved wife, Joanna. She had named the child Tyrion. A disgrace, a dwarf. If it wasn't for Tianna he would have pulled the sword from her sheath and he would have killed her.
But the Lannister twins used to lose their minds if they lost their brothers. So to ensure the welfare of the golden girl he had to bear the shame of a dwarf in his family.
-------------------
Tywin looked at his youngest daughter, she was walking hand in hand with Tyrion, she was already more than a head ahead of him. Fifteen-year-old Cersei kept getting ready to be perfect in the joust. But the six-year-old twins had no such worries and just waited to see the older brother as they watched the servants come and go.
Tyrion would never be handsome, he was ugly and misshapen due to being a dwarf. But beside him was a heavenly being brought to earth by the seven, in Tywin's opinion. Tianna had curly golden hair around her head like a golden halo, her eyes were wide and innocent, her smile was adorable, and she had a cheerful and lively character. She was almost a perfect copy of Joanna at her age
But make no mistake, there were times when Tywin was afraid of his own daughter. The golden girl was really something else
It had all started when they were four years old. They played with blocks and figures of knights. Tianna had made a very tall tower and placed the figure of the king on top of it.
-It's impossible, you can't play like that- Tyrion got tired of trying to throw his figures to the king and always fail
-You're doing it wrong. - the girl had laughed- To beat those who are very high you have to start from the bottom
- Down?
-Yes, remove the power slowly. – Tianna began to remove a piece from the tower with each word she said next- A counselor. A loyal knight. a mistress A confidant. A son. You don't even have to eliminate them, just pass them to your side to turn them against the powerful one. And when you have enough...
The girl's hand pushed the tower that had remained immovable until that moment, but suddenly it gave way and collapsed.
-Now the king has lost the power of him and even a commoner could kill him. Remember this lesson Tyrion, a king is only king because of his bloodline and his talented subordinates. You take away those subordinates and he will not be able to continue in power unless the king himself is extraordinary.
-I do not get it
-Some day you will.
Tywin had flinched away. What she had explained was something not even Cersei or Jamie understood yet. A part of him wondered if she had that level of intelligence from when she cried and refused to eat or sleep until Tyrion was brought to her side.
The other incident had been a year ago. Some apprentice knights were laughing at Tyrion and insulting him, the boy didn't say anything. They surpassed him in height and strength, at least it was until Tianna arrived and she pushed him behind her body, still almost the same height.
- Manners make the man, so I suppose you are not such a thing- she said simply
- What do you mean?! - One of the boys yelled at her, but the boy didn't dare to do anything else just looking at Tianna's escort knight.
-A knight swears to use his sword to defend the kingdom and its weakest inhabitants. A gentleman is honorable and he should not insult those who will not defend themselves or whose circumstances are not favorable.
-He is just a dwarf, no one will pay respect to a dwarf
Tianna had smiled radiantly
-I understand, then you will never be anointed knights. And by the way, it is worth remembering that I am not, nor will I ever be, a gentleman. I'm a lady, I fight differently
She had turned around taking Tyrion by the hand and leading him with her. Less than a week later both boys had some kind of accident. One lost his life when he fell from a horse and the other lost his right arm when a pile of logs collapsed on him. But as much of Tywin's investigation and questioning of the servants as he could ever find a connection between his youngest daughter and the incidents.
He didn't even want to punish her, just cover her tracks. To prevent the boys' houses from taking revenge. But he, the hand of the king, found nothing. So in the end I ask her directly
- I didn't do anything, father- she smiled radiantly. - Perhaps the seven did not consider them worthy of being knights and decided to avoid it
-I see, the seven… And the seven will want to come with me to court? Your brother will become a knight and it will be good for your sister to know what life is like at court. Princess Martell's health is not good and Cersei could replace her at any time.
Tianna shook her head.
-I will stay here, but the seven will always guide your journey, father. Keep an eye on Cersei and Jamie, please. Cersei has too much power over my brother
And like a true arrow, Tywin knew that Cersei had convinced Jamie to join the royal guard. In the fury that coursed through Tywin he only heard from his fifteen year old daughter about her wish to remain with her twin, so she made sure to separate them.
Cersei finally walked out of the tent looking perfect and just as unbelievably beautiful as all the women of the Lannister bloodline.
-Tianna, the king will arrive soon, we must brush your hair and straighten your clothes. -After Joanna's death, Cersei had taken the place to take care of her sister, very reluctantly. But Tywin had forced her, Tianna was the heiress of the Lannister house if he couldn't marry her into royalty, she had to be perfectly polite at all times. And be perfectly beautiful too
