Sick
I wake feeling exhausted, like I haven't slept, when I just woke up.
I sigh, rolling over and getting out of bed. When I stand, the room spins, causing me to sigh and grab my head.
I make my way to the bathroom, brushing my teeth before stepping into the shower. The heat doesn't help, and I feel myself becoming even more dizzy. I quickly get out after washing up and dress in more comfortable clothing.
I make my way out of my home and towards the building before realizing maybe wearing comfy clothes when I'm so tired wasn't the best decision.
I sigh before spotting Teddy. He perks up, making his way over to me before making a displeased noise. "You're sick." He states with a worried frow.
I hum, leaning into him, enjoying the warmth he gives off. "I'm fine, Teddy. Just tired."
He sighs, hugging me and scenting me. "Don't push yourself. I'll be coming to check on you."
I nod into him, beyond used to his protective instincts. He lets me go and I make my way to class, arriving first for a slight change, telling me how off I am.
I sigh beginning to set up the projector for a movie. There's no way I can actively teach today. The students begin filtering in and I sit at my desk, smiling up at them all, unaware of the worried eyes on me. "Hello, go ahead and work on whatever you're behind on. As long as you stay quiet I don't mind what you do today." Quiet cheers are heard, and I smile softly, playing the movie and turning the lights off.
I walk to the back of the room, sitting at a desk before laying my head down on my arms, closing my eyes.
I hear shifting, students moving around to sit in groups, before hearing someone settling next to me, their body brushing against my own. I open my eyes, spotting Kaname and smile in reassurance when I notice the worried frown.
His hand reaches out to grab a piece of my hair as he speaks quietly. "Are you okay, Hadrian?" He asks.
I hum, nodding slightly. "I'm fine."
He raises an eyebrow, giving me a look that has me looking away. "Just tired." I mumble.
He hums, moving his hand to the top of my head and beginning to run his hand through the strands. The comfort has me closing my eyes with a small smile.
"Rest." Kaname whispers.
I drift off, not noticing Kaname's red eyes that stare down every student in the classroom, daring them to disturb me.

I startle when I feel myself being jostled. "You're safe." The deep voice speaks to me quietly, soothing my initial panic. I sigh in relief, cuddling closer to the warmth and drifting off.

I wake with a groan, my body sore all over. I roll over, burying my face into the rose scented blankets, enjoying it greatly.
"Hadrian?" Kaname's voice sounds out in the room before I hear him standing and walking over to the bed. The bed dips as he sits, before I feel his hand on my head. "How are you feeling?" He asks softly.
I huff, rolling over onto his hand, so I'm looking up to him. "It must me you. Is this a power of yours? To ensure you see every embarrassing moment of those around you?" I ask with a pout I don't know I'm wearing.
He chuckles deeply. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about." He sooths.
I roll my eyes before moving to sit up, when his hand is placed on my chest, holding me down. I look back to his firm eyes, wilting immediately. "You're sick. You need to rest."
I sigh, rubbing my hand over my face. "Who's the teacher?" I grumble. "I've been sick plenty of times before." I ask with exasperation.
Kaname chuckles. "Let me care for you...please? Humor me?" He pleads.
I look back to him, seeing the sincerity, and sigh with a small smile. "Thank you, Kaname."
I close my eyes again before feeling myself being lifted and pulled into his side, sitting up. "Drink this, it'll help." He says quietly.
I hum, drinking the tea and enjoying the taste as it's masked the medicine. "Oh, you're dangerous." I mutter.
Kaname laughs, jostling me. "That's what you find dangerous about me?" He asks with humor in his tone.
I nod, humming. "Yes. What else would be?" I ask, tilting my head onto his shoulder to look up at him sincerely.
He looks down to me, his eyes softened. "Nothing." He whispers. "Nothing's dangerous for you." He sets the cup down, laying back and bringing me down with him. Too tired to process how close we're being, I rest on his chest, cuddling closer and enjoying his warmth.
His arm tightens around me, holding me close, while the other goes to my hair, beginning to run through the strands. "Rest, Hadrian."
I hum, beginning to drift off. "Safe?"
I don't see his eye's flashing red, a purr beginning in his chest. I press into him even more, instinctively wanting him as close as possible. "Always." He whispers darkly.

I wake to being jostled, and pout, hearing a quiet laugh before a hand is back in my hair, having me drifting off once again.
I wake again, seeing Yuki standing in front of me with a bright smile. I huff, reaching out and grabbing her, pulling her down into my arms. She giggles as I cuddle her like a little pillow. I hum, rubbing my face into her hair. "Sleep."
She giggles, wiggling around. "Ge! I brought soup!"
"Oh? For little old me?" I ask teasingly, releasing her so she can sit up.
She nods and I hum, before giving her a pointed look. "Yuki, we're not at my home." I comment.
She nods slowly before realizing, wilting.
"We're surrounded by vampires." I scold.
She wilts. "But I heard you were sick! And I made you soup!" She pleads, eyes wide.
I fold like a wet paper napkin, sitting up and patting her head. "Oh, you two are definitely dangerous." I mutter as she beams, once more playing me masterfully.
I look over, spotting Kaname smiling down at his paperwork, pretending to not be listening and enjoying our conversation. I look back to Yuki. "Eat with me?" I ask softly.
She nods rapidly, getting up as I do. I look over to Kaname when he begins speaking. "There's an outfit in the bathroom for you." He smiles, nodding to the bathroom. "Take your time. Shower if you'd like." He says softly.
I relax with a smile, looking over to Yuki who nods. "I'll wait with Kaname-Sempai!"
I ruffle her hair, enjoying her grumble before making my way to the bathroom. "Thank you." I whisper before closing the door.
In the bathroom, I run the shower before using the spare toothbrush to brush my teeth. I step into the shower, washing myself with the rose scented soaps and shampoos. When I've finished up, I rinse myself off, stepping out and drying.
I dress in the sweatpants and long sleeve black sweater. They're both some of the softest clothes I've ever worn, and the oversized clothing makes me feel even more comfy. Slipping the socks on, I throw my laundry in the bin without thinking before exiting the bathroom.
Kaname stares at me with side eyes, not breathing. Yuki giggles, covering her smile with a hand, and I look between them in confusion when Kaname snaps out of it, clearing his throat and waving to the small table with tea and soup.
I walk over with a smile, sitting on the ground instead of the chair, not wanting to reach.
I begin eating, smiling at Yuki. "Thank you. It's perfect."
She flushes, looking down into her soup with a smile. "Dad helped." She looks back up to me. "I will continue to thank you for teaching him how to cook." He grins.
I laugh, nodding. "Your poor taste buds." I grimace.
"How did you eat what he made before us?" She tilts her head. "He always said you never complained when he would make... all that."
A fond smile tilts my lips. "He tries." I shrug. "He... was my first friend, loyal, and he always was so happy to make something for me." I chuckle, shaking my head. "I honestly didn't mind it." She gives a bewildered look and I grin. "I'd had worse." Her face is painted in horror, and I laugh once more.
"Well, Zero began cooking for us even more when you were gone." She comments.
I nod. "Where is he? And Teddy?" I ask.
She hums, thinking. "They were training when I was cooking. Maybe went on a mission?" She droops. "I wish I could train with them." She grumbles.
I look to her with wide eyes, before looking to Kaname. He's, her brother. It wouldn't be right to offer without his permission. He gives me a small smile, nodding and I beam at him, not seeing him faltering at it.
I look back to Yuki. "If you'd like to become stronger, you only need to ask." I say offhandedly.
She pauses in her next bite, head whipping up to me. "Really?!" She asks excitedly.
I chuckle, nodding as I finish my next bite. "Yes. But it's a lot of work and once you're my student there's no backing out." I attempt to hide the sadistic humor I have about remembering when I trained my previous two students (zero and teddy) into the ground and fail.
She looks at me wearily, Kaname covering his smile with a hand, enjoying seeing another side of me, before Yuki is straightening up in determination. "I'm in your care, Sensei!" She shouts seriously.
I grin, nodding. "Alright, I'll come to you in a few days."
She wiggles in excitement, and I watch with pity in my eyes. She's going to be miserable... I can't wait.
Kaname coughs and I look to see him watching me with humor in his eyes, reading my every thought on my face. I flush in embarrassment, and he smiles.
I hum, tilting my head. "If you can protect yourself then you should be able to come by when my students are there." I look to Kaname. "Just the ones that come to my house...?" I trail off, wanting to ask but realizing Yuki won't understand why I'm asking.
"That sounds like a perfect solution." Kaname says softly, looking over to Yuki who beams.
I smile, nodding. "Great. Then I'll ensure you can defend yourself by the end of the second month."
Her eyes widen. "Only two months?! Really?!"
I smile pleasantly, nodding. "Yes, two months to be able to defend. It'll depend on many factors before I know how long it will take for you to learn how to actively attack."
She finally becomes wary. "Wait. Is it normal to learn in two months?"
I hum, nodding. "Teddy and Zero did. So will you."
She continues to eye me, before nodding slowly. "Riight."
I chuckle, beginning to eat. Yuki's mind begins whirling, beginning to realize what she's just gotten herself into, and Kaname watches us fondly, his two most special people, together with him. His sister, and his beloved.
