A smile lifted softly across her lips before she jumped up from her plush covers. Her eyes darting to the blonde boy who was laid sprawled out across the same covers, his face now holding a confused expression. His expression now very much unlike his previous that could only have been described as content and longing. Before he could open his mouth to question what had caught her attention she grasped his ever cold hand and yanked him up towards her, making him stumble over his discarded shoes before grasping her upper arm to steady himself.
“Oh you’ve just gotta dance with me to this one! It's one of my favorites!” She yelled excited before rushing to where her worn stereo sat atop a small side table, the volume turning up quite a bit as the lyrics continued to play across the room.
Why won't you tell me what she said? What was that promise that you made?
He watched with a small warm smile as she began to dance around the room towards him, her eyes closed as she reached her hand out to him. Without a second's hesitation his own fingers interlocked with her as he pulled her closer to him suddenly, his other arm wrapping around her lower back. The fast change made her eyes open wide as she gazed into his own pale ones, the softest of crinkles near the edges as he smiled brightly at her.

Though he knew the song was a fast tempo he calmly swayed her in his arms, his forehead leaned to press against hers, the faintest of breathes gently blow on the other as they danced slowly.
Can't you see that I am not afraid? What was that promise that you made?
After a few moments the pair had closed their eyes and seemed at peace, each clinging to the others warmth, a fickle attempt at battling the frigid breeze that raced just outside the window. As he swayed, his face now buried slightly against her neck, he could feel her heartbeat softly along with the gentle breathes she let out. His light lashes brushed against her soft skin, sending a shiver through her, her hands tightening just the slightest bit more as she pulled him closer.
Only a few seconds later her voice broke through to sing quietly in tandem with the loving lyrics, only inches from his ear, which now blushed a faint red as he tightened his arms around her.
