Life I guess
Dazai was at the train station on September 1st, and he had ditched his family and was currently running towards platform 9 and ¾ . When he got to the other side, he bumped into someone who was standing in front of it. It was the same short angry redhead he had met at Diagon alley.
“Oi! Why can’t these idiots watch where they’re going! Oh no! It’s you.” The redhead says.
“Ya, nice to see you too. Tell me, why were you just standing there? This is clearly YOUR fault.” Dazai replies. They glare at each other for a while before the boy answers.
“No it wasn’t! It was clearly YOURS. And I was…taken aback by the platform…and the train”
Seriously? Dazai had seen MUCH stranger things than that. Like the time when his aunt had caused all the trees in the neighborhood to turn blue just because she could.
“Really? By THIS? What rock have YOU been living under? Maybe if you left it, you’d be taller.”
Then it dawned on him…this boy might be a muggle-born. What he said might have been offensive. Oh. Ooohhh. Oh no. Unfortunately, it was too late.
“Shut up! I-I’m just not used to all this” The boy said defensively.
So he was a muggle-born. Interesting. Well, he’d make an interesting “friend”. But Dazai still needed his name.
“Well, I’m sure I can show you all the ropes!” he offers happily “I’m Osamu Dazai, call me Dazai. What’s YOUR name?”
The boy looks shocked at how fast he changed his attitude. Then he looks at him skeptically. Well…he’s not stupid…unfortunately. It was going to require quite some effort to train this dog.
“My name is Chuuya…why are you helping me?” Chuuya asks
“Because I’m SUCH a nice person!” Dazai replies. Was he convincing enough? He didn’t know. But he had to admit, he wanted Chuuya around, so far he seemed to be SUPER annoying, but he did deliver a mean kick. That could come in handy later.
Then 2 adults walk up to them. A man and a woman. The woman has long red hair and the man has short black hair. A small girl about Elise’s age with long black hair in pigtails trails behind them.
“Oh Chuuya! Our little baby’s all grown up!” The woman cries as she runs over and hugs Chuuya.
“Ow! Mom, let go. You’re embarrassing me!” Chuuya yells, his face red.
Dazai has to hold in his laughter. Oh, time to tease him about it later, endlessly. But Dazai did have to admit…he was a bit jealous. Oh, what he wouldn’t give to have a mother embarrassing him on his first day of school?
He doesn’t give much time to think about this, as he sneaks off onto the train, leaving Chuuya alone with his family.
