Bungo at Hogwarts
Dazai waits at his bedroom window. When will this stupid owl come? The brunette wonders.
His 11th birthday was over an entire month ago, weren’t the Hogwarts owls supposed to be here by early July? It was the 22nd of July today, and still no letter, truly terrible organization.
“What are you doing?” A small blond haired girl asks.
“Go away Elise! Whatever I’m doing, it’s none of your business” Dazai snaps back at his little sister.
“Well, it looks to me like you’re waiting for something…wait-you haven’t gotten your letter from Hogwarts yet. Don’t worry big brother, maybe you’re just a squib!” She suggests. Dazai would like to tell her a lot of things, none of which are very nice, but he knew that if he did, she’d just go run over to their Dad and tell him. Elise was Mori’s clear favorite, and Dazai could do nothing about it.
“Shut up, of course I’m not! I’ve done tons of magic! The letters are just running late, I guess.” He replies
“Mmmhmmm? Suuuuure” Elise replies skeptically.
She leaves the room. Dazai sighs. At least once he’s at Hogwarts he won’t have to deal with her for 10 months a year. Or their father. That’s IF he’s going to Hogwarts, which…of course he is. His whole family are wizards and witches! He couldn’t be the only one…then again, he’d never met his mother before. Elise knew her mother well, and she even got to visit her every Easter, and Thanksgiving. But Dazai’s mother died when he was a baby, Dazai didn’t even know if she was a witch or not.
Just as Dazai was thinking all this, an owl showed up. It’s about time Dazai thinks. It was the letter congratulating him for getting accepted at Hogwarts…blah blah blah…a lot of boring stuff. Oh, and also a list of things he needed to buy. Whatever, he’d just show it to his Father and they’d go to Diagon alley next weekend.
Dazai smiled in spite of himself, he was going to Hogwarts, and he was leaving this damn place! And…he wouldn't have to worry about Elise ruining anything for him there for 3 whole years. That’s tons of time to tell his “friends” to never trust a word that came out of the little demon’s mouth. Dazai obviously wasn’t going to make friends…more like extremely loyal companions. Like dogs.
