Summary
Remus is in love with Sirius; he has been for years, or maybe since the day they met - they were too young to know what "love at first sight" might feel like, if it even exists. Sirius is a hot mess; he needs Moony, or thinks he does, because he doesn't seem capable of making good decisions without the help of his best friend.So, when faced with overwhelming grief and pain and rage, instead of seeking vengeance, Sirius listens to Remus's advice: "Think before you act. Harry comes first, now. Be a responsible godfather." Harry never goes to live with the Dursleys, because his godfather takes care of him, with the help of a man with a furry little problem.***What if Sirius didn't go after Pettigrew, and instead took care of Harry like he was supposed to?
