at least for now. (year 5 - 1977)
As the Marauders navigated their way through the intricacies of magical education, the unspoken love between Remus and Sirius simmered beneath the surface; a flame flickering in the shadows.
In their dorm, Sirius found solace by the window, gazing at the moonlit grounds. It was a rare occurance these days that the dorm remained empty for longer than a few minutes. However, this time, Pete's herbology club had run late, and James' quidditch was taking his full attention (There was no way he was going to skip this practice when Lily Evans was watching).
Remus joined Sirius, their intertwined fingers tapping a secret language only they understood.
"We can't go on like this, Moony," Sirius murmured, his gaze fixed on the moon, a silent witness to their hidden truth.
Remus sighed, the weight of secrecy bearing down on him. "I know, Padfoot, but it's not just about us; it's about the world."
Sirius clenched his jaw, resentment and longing etched on his face. "Why does it matter what they think? We deserve to love, just like anyone else."
Remus met Sirius's gaze, his eyes reflecting a shared yearning. "In an ideal world, yes. But this isn’t a perfect world, Sirius. The world isn't ready to accept us."
Sirius met his gaze with a challenging grin. "Yet." Remus fought the urge to swoon.
That Sirius Black grin.
Their clandestine love became a dance, a delicate choreography of stolen glances and lingering touches in the hidden corners of Hogwarts. Yet, every stolen moment only deepened the ache of the unspoken truth.
One evening, as the Marauders studied by the fireplace, a group of students exchanged hushed words, casting judgmental, questioning glances in Remus and Sirius's direction. The weight of those glares pressed upon them, and Remus instinctively withdrew, their hands discreetly uncoupling.
Sirius, however, refused to be cowed. His eyes flashed with defiance, a silent declaration that love should not be confined to the shadows. But as he reached for Remus's hand, a look of fear flashed in Remus's eyes, and Sirius reluctantly withdrew.
"We can't let them dictate how we feel," Sirius whispered later that night, their voices swallowed by the darkness. "I won't let them."
Remus shook his head, a mixture of love and sorrow in his gaze. "It's not that simple, Sirius. We need to be careful, for both our sakes."
Their love, once a sanctuary, now felt like a beautiful curse. The moon, once a symbol of unity, became a witness to their struggle, casting its silvery light on the fragments of their hidden romance.
The arrival of their final year at Hogwarts loomed, and with it, the uncertainty of the future. As the outside world's expectations pressed upon them, Remus and Sirius clung to their love, a fragile bloom struggling to survive in the shadows. With every lingering touch, every idle shoulder touch, and every withdrawn hand, their urges grew stronger.
Sirius ached for Remus. Each time Remus sent him one of those crooked grins across the classrooms, he fought the urge to jump his bones.
Eventually his urges caught up to him. After weeks of being pent-up with no release, Sirius had one of the worst days he’d ever had.
Snivellus had been taking the piss all day, and ridiculing Sirius and his “Mudblood boyfriend.”- Sirius nearly ripped out his throat for that one- and he was *upset*. He entered the common room, seething.
Tossing his books and parchment aside, he slumped onto one of the chairs, legs widened. He rested his arms on his thighs, hands dropping between his knees.
He slumped over, dark hair sliding into his face. Moments later, Remus entered the room, next to Christopher. Christopher was loudly speaking about his upcoming potions exam, just as Sirius began to think that he couldn’t possibly become more annoyed.
Remus quickly took notice of Sirius, dropping his things in a similar fashion on a side table.
“Right, Chris. I’ll talk to you tomorrow about potions. We’ll review for your exam.” Remus gave a soft, apologetic smile.
Christopher opened his mouth as if to say something, but closed it again, brow furrowing as he walked back to his dorm with a mildly annoyed expression.
Remus turned his attention back to Sirius, who looked just as icy-eyed as before.
“Whassup?” He said casually, sitting down next to Sirius. Sirius turned to Remus as if to respond, but only responded by grabbing him by the hair, yanking him into a deep kiss. Remus pulled away with a crooked grin, but his face turned serious. “I mean, not that I minded that, but what if someone’d-”
Sirius hushed him, grabbing his arm and standing up, yanking Remus with him. They walked up to his dorm and Sirius didn’t say a word. Remus looked a little worried now. “Pads, what’re you playing at?” He asked. Sirius nudged his head in the direction of the dorm room, and Remus obliged, walking in, looking confused as ever.
Sirius sat on the bed, head in his hands. Remus looked worried now, “Is it your parents? Regulus? Or-” Sirius cut him off. “Fucking Snivellus. Right little prick.” Remus’ eyes softened with understanding. “What happened this time?” He asked.
Sirius huffed. “Callin’ you mudblood. Callin’ me a nancy boy. Fucking usual. He’s driving me up the wall.” He said, scoffing. He withdrew a carton of cigarettes, snapping his fingers to light the fag. He offered one to Remus, who gratefully took it.
Remus looked as if he was struggling to form words, clearly not used to comforting people. “D’you want a blowie?” He said simply, with a grin.
Sirius’ eyes flicked to him, half-lidded. “Cheeky bugger. Get on the fucking bed.”
Remus grinned and crawled on top of Sirius, pausing to haphazardly grab his wand from his robes. “Quies.” He murmured, setting a silencing charm on the room. Discarding his robes and tie, Remus tossed his clothes to the side.
Sirius’ eyes lazily turned to the door. “Not that this isn’t just lovely, but where are James and Pete?” he questioned with a half-lidded grin.
Remus nodded briskly, beginning to undo Sirius’ trousers. “Quidditch.” he answered plainly.
Sirius raised a brow. “You sure? Cause-”
Remus shushed him. “Pads. Shut the fuck up.” he said, undoing his trousers fully.
Sirius obliges with a grin, lifting his hips for Remus to shimmy his trousers down to his knees. Sirius undid his shirt, discarding it with his tie.
Remus softly kissed Sirius, but it soon became hungrier. Remus slipped his tongue into Sirius’ mouth, and he could feel Sirius smiling into the kiss. Remus pulled away with a smirk. “Fuck.” Sirius muttered, feeling his cock harden.
Remus left reminders of his love along Sirius’ neck and collarbones, gentle bruises and bites beginning to form. His bites are rough, sharp canines leaving angry red marks on Sirius’ milky skin. It excites Sirius. With every bite, lick, and gentle kiss on his skin, his cock twitches. Sirius’ breathing becomes erratic, and he gives a quiet, strangled noise akin to a whimper.
Remus works his way down agonizingly slowly, until he reached the v-shaped dip in his waist accented by small dark hairs that had begun to sprout in recent years. Remus wasted no time in pulling down Sirius’ boxers and freeing his cock. Remus slowly grabs his cock, kissing the tip, which leaked precum, gently. He slowly takes Sirius in his mouth, softly pumping his cock with his free hand. Sirius threw his head back. “Shit, Moony.”
Remus focuses on sucking his cock, feeling himself getting hard as well. Sirius bucks his hips up into Remus’ mouth, seeking stimulation. Remus gags, but keeps going, tears beginning to stream down his flushed cheeks. “Fuck. So fucking good, Moony. Shit.” Sirius is moaning loudly into the empty room.
“Moony- M’gonna come.” Sirius whines. Remus licks a stripe up his cock, kissing his tip as he pumps him. This sends him over the edge, and he comes down Remus’ throat. Remus swallows his come, then looks up grinning, at Sirius.
Sirius breathes out heavily and grins down at Remus, kissing him softly and flipping him over.
“My turn, Moony.”
