The first date in Paris
Newt woke up and picked his outfit for the day a nice black coat and pants with a white button up shirt and said good enough for the date later today,I went and cleaned the stall's and habitat's then went to the creatures and checked them over Ruby needs her scales cleaned again so I started in on that,it a bit painful for her so we break it up in three rounds of thirty minutes,then ate lunch with credence, Jackson went out to get some new books earlier and should be back in about an hour
Credence asked "so you are going to Paris on a date?"
Newt replied "yes Gellert asked me out then suggested Berlin Jackson warned him that might not be the best idea so he picked Paris"
Credence said "be careful,have fun when you go what time are you meeting anyway?"
Newt said "seven near the pond"
Credence said "cool I had never left New York till I met you and Jackson"
Jackson walks in and said "the owner of the shop called aurors on me",with a pout
Newt said "you should have used glamour and you know it, go to a different shop next time"
Credence said "there is a nice thrift book store on the corner of Berkeley lane,you can try*
Jackson said "thanks credence I will try them tomorrow, captain you know I hate wearing glamour it feels itchy*
Newt replied "better itchy then captured or dead"
A few hours later newt uses a cleaning charm on his clothes as they had got a bit dirty and added a black silk vest to the outfit with a pocket watch,and apperates to the pond in Paris since the briefcase is somewhere in the woods of france,and waited a few minutes before Grindelwald appears
Grindelwald said "sorry I'm a little late darling, had a problem with a meeting that had to be delt with"
Newt replied "no problem if you are needed elsewhere we can reschedule"
Grindelwald said "it is taken care of now so all good shall we go to the restaurant now?*
Newt said "I guess although you didn't tell me what restaurant it was"
Gellart said "it's the La Le Fleur restaurant a associate of mine recommended it I have not been before so hopefully it is good"
They arrive at the restaurant under glamour and are seated and given a menu
Grindelwald smiles and thanks the waiter
Newt started looking through it and saw it didn't have many vegetarian options, so decided on a cheese Alfredo with garlic bread with a lemon water since they only serve sweet tea
Grindelwald looked through and didn't like how many of the dishes were meat based,what if a vegetarian came on a date(Grindelwald doesn't know newt is a vegetarian yet) and decided to order lasagna and garlic bread with some white wine
They place their order and started to chat
Newt said "so did you do the ritual to be a dark lord or did you just claim the title? Not to be rude just curious if you don't want to answer that's fine"
Grindelwald replied "I did the ritual and was chosen by mother magik, I don't mind you asking questions"
Grindelwald asked "why did you get kicked out of Hogwarts and why did you join the war you don't strike me as the type to do so?"
Newt replied *leta lestrange put the blame on me for releasing a creature that attacked a student,it was leta who released it because the girl was picking on her, I saved the creature from being killed but got expelled for attacking another student with a deadly animal......as for your other question a general saw me playing with some dragon's and wanted me to tame them for the war,not that that happened I just made a alliance with them and made a team, I wasn't given a choice it was do it or spend the rest of my life in maximum security part of Azkaban, so I did what they wanted kinda I went for the minimum I could and avoid prison*
Grindelwald said "I'm sorry I brought up bad memories from the sound of it*
They continue chatting till the food comes with more normal date questions and answers till the food arrives
They eat their food and continue chatting until a little girl about three ran over to newt and hugged him
Newt said "hey Ezra nice to see you again*
Ezra said" hi newt tank you for the tweddy bear"
Ezra's mom Rosa came over and said *hey newt sorry she ran over here"
Grindelwald asked *is the glamour not working?*
Rosa replied "it is working but newt can't get rid of all of his freckle's even with a strong glamour and my daughter can Sense him anywhere I don't care what ward or glamour is in use"
Grindelwald asked "how we knew each other
Rosa said "he saved my life and Ezra's during the war"
Newt said "she was seven months pregnant and on the Frontline they would not send her back till closer to her due date since she was a explosives expert, well her team got caught in a foxhole and was surrounded by the enemy the stress made her go into labor, the dragon's Brigade was sent in to assist in rescue, my team got the others out but she couldn't be moved or it would have killed them both so I helped with the birth and gave Ezra a small bost with my magic so she could survive out of the womb, it made a connection similar to a godfather but not quite that we can sense the others location no matter where the other is and her core is a bit bigger than it should be"
Rosa said "yep without him both of us would be dead, also I named newt the godfather since I had no one on my side to take the role and we don't talk about her father he didn't want children and left me when I found out I was pregnant and was drafted to go to war"
Grindelwald said "interesting but didn't the aurors try to use that connection to find him?"
Ezra said "they don know about it and if they did I not betway newt"
(She is three so not speaking perfectly yet)
Newt said "she is correct we never told anyone not here now about it besides for Jackson so you are the first to know outside of team or family,also they have emergency portkeys to the briefcase in the event something happens"
Grindelwald said "interesting I'm glad you trust me enough to share that"
Rose replied "well it's probably a test if someone finds out he knows you can't be trusted with sensitive information"
Ezra sat on newt's lap and fell asleep
Newt asked "so you need help getting her home Rosa?"
Rosa said "no continue your date I can handle her newt and thank you again"
Grindelwald said "any other surprises"
Newt said "maybe a few but no one else can track me and no other big surprises"
Grindelwald said "good I like you being all mine I don't like to share"
Newt replied "you just have to share me with Jackson credence and Ezra and my creatures I'm not a people person, although I should probably be concerned that you are possessive and we have not even finished the first date, I think I read somewhere that's a red flag"
Grindelwald said "I don't mind that one bit darling,and since when have you been normal and listened to a red flag, I warn you I am a bit obsessive and possessive when it comes to those I consider mine"
Newt replied "but I am not yours yet"
Grindelwald said "no but you will be if I have any say in the matter"
They leave and go for a river walk
And are having fun when newt said "we are being followed"
Grindelwald said "yes three of them"
Newt said "aurors I think"
Grindelwald said "most likely"
Newt casted a shield to block them from getting to close without warning and they continue walking
Grindelwald said "there is ten of them now"
Newt said "and anti portkey wards up but no anti-apperate wards so that's the way to leave"
Grindelwald said "see you next time liebling and expect a letter from me" before turning and apperates away
Newt apperates away and tells credence about the date since Jackson said he didn't want to know unless I killed someone
Newt and credence figured out he is a Dumbledore born from aberforth and he didn't know about credence, and they talked to aberforth but aberforth wanted nothing to do with a dangerous obscures even if he had control over it now and it wasn't killing him,Albus talked to credence a few times but credence thinks he just wants to use him against Grindelwald and does not care about him
Credence is sad about the fact his family didn't want him or would use him as a pawn
Newt said to credence "well me and Jackson both consider you our little brother so you have us for family if you want, we might not be blood but we would kill to protect each other and will never betray or use you"
Credence said *I would like that I already think of you both as older brothers and Grindelwald as a inlaw kinda he seems really serious in his intentions*
Newt replied *I know but I'm still nervous"
Credence said *with your past it would be hard not to be,you are placing a lot of trust in a person you don't know that well yet*
Newt said *I think I'm going to try to get a few hours of sleep tonight*
Three hours later newt wakes up at one am and started to get the ingredients needed to make a few potions and finish the rune work for a new ward he wanted to try I stopped working When the clock chimed six so I went and made breakfast for everyone
Jackson said *I smelled good where is it? is that coffee?"
Credence came down stairs and said *yummy smelling food nightmares again?*
Jackson said" how did you guess that?*
Credence replied *only time Newt drinks coffee is when he gets less then four hours of sleep or stays up a few days before trying to sleep"
Newt replied *yeah I got three hours of sleep last night got up at one and started brewing and working on a project"
Credence said "if you ever want to talk or company wake me up"
Jackson said "don't wake me unless we are under attack"
Newt laughed and said" I love you both"
Jackson said "I don't like emotional things you know that but I am fond of you both"
Credence replied "we are crazy you know that right"
Jackson snorted and said" kid your the nominated sane one of the bunch"
Newt said" he is right"
Credence choked on his tea and said "I'm the sane one?"
Newt said "vinda and gellert agreed with us"
A little bit later a letter arrived from Gellert
My dear little chaos newt
Hope your night went well after we parted,l would like to ask you on another date this weekend perhaps to Bulgaria or Russia

I write back a reply

It went fine, Bulgaria sounds fun and sure we can go on a second date, Russia is out me and Jackson plans to piss of the aurors there tomorrow, Egypt's aurors stopped looking for us in Egypt so we can visit there a different time,unless we upset them again

And I sent it off with our pet fwooper who had it's vocal cords cut by a trapper who's name is who-who because she makes a little chirp that sounds like she is saying who,who,who kinda like a softer owl
A bit later she returns with a reply

Jackson wants to go get a file from their ministry on the ICW that we can leak to the reports about some of the things they have done that the public doesn't know about, I'm tagging along so Jackson does not die or get caught, he can be a bit impulsive at time

Well I don't have anything on my schedule tomorrow, if you want to make it a date? You are mine

The next day Jackson wakes up first and makes breakfast
Credence said "is there a fire?"
Newt said "no he cooked I recommend drinking a anti food poisoning potion when you eat"
Credence said "I'm making lunch today for when you get back I'll just have a apple till then"
Newt said" wise choice, I'm used to Jackson's cooking from the war days"
Jackson proudly said "they even fed it to the enemy to break them sometimes"
Credence said "that's not something to be proud of"
Newt replied "well we aren't normal anyway*
Jackson said "exactly"
Newt said "gallert is meeting us at the Russian muggle embassy,then we use sassy to get in and out, portkey only in emergencies"
Jackson said "yes we went over this a few times already"
Credence said "with your attention span I can see why"
They apparate near the embassy in a dark ally and enter the lobby to wait for Grindelwald we waited for ten minutes then he arrived five minutes early, Grindelwald was suprised to see us there already
They left the building and walked towards the ministry and then had Sassy take us into the file room and found the unredacted copies of the files we wanted and gellart was looking through them and asked if we minded him using some of the info on the one's we didn't want to share with the public yet, because we are spreading it out to one release a week that should cripple the ICW and take it down by the end of next year, before we left we set a few harmless little traps that could be considered a calling card of Jackson's if they read our files anyway
Gellart said" that was fun and went smoothly, I didn't think anyone could break in there without them knowing"
Jackson said "when I gave my idea to newt he started gathering information and checked the wards on the building, he took a few down without alerting them to the fact or we would have been busted, newt is great at breaking in and out of places"
Newt said" I'm not that great, I just have some experience from rescuing creatures from smugglers"
Grindelwald said "from what I saw you are very good at it, next time I have a heist to pull off I'll see if you will plan it for me"
Jackson laughed "if he doesn't agree just pose it as a hypothetical and he will give you the best way to do it regardless*
Newt said *I'm still upset about you doing that Jackson, don't listen to him because next one to do that is getting bitten by Sapphire or Sassy*
Grindelwald said "I would not do that to you dear newt. How is it going with credence and the Dumbledores ?"
Newt replied "not good, credence told them to never contact him again or he would let the obscures attack him"
Grindelwald said "ouch I'm sorry to hear that,give credence my condolences about his family"
Newt said "I Will"
Grindelwald said "and I'll see you Saturday liebling"
Newt replied "see you then*
Grindelwald disapperated
Jackson said "he has it bad for you"
Newt replied "I really like him as well so far"
Credence said *I give it a month till he asks for your hand or asks you to move in with him"
Newt said "I think that's a little fast"
Jackson said "it would be but he seems like the sort to set his mind on something and not give up"
Credence said "although I don't think he will push it when he asks if you are not ready yet"
A few days later
Saturday morning newt picked his outfit out picking a white button up shirt a brown vest and trousers with a Hufflepuff scarf and a warm brown jacket with faux fur around the cuffs and collar that Theseus gave me just before I got expelled from Hogwarts, I then took a portkey to Bulgaria that gellert sent me yesterday so I didn't have to try making a portkey for somewhere I had never been.
Newt arrived at a carnival on the magik side of Bulgaria gellart was waiting for me, "I asked how long have you been waiting?*
Grindelwald said "not long maybe two minutes tops*
Newt smiled and said "good I didn't want to run late so I left a few minutes early"
Grindelwald said " I would have had no problem if you were a few minutes late"
Newt said "you might not have but I would have I like to be on time or early"
Then they went into the carnival and played a few games before getting a bite to eat, then newt noticed some particularly dangerous smugglers he had ran into before
Newt said "I think we should go the long way around to the Farris wheel*
Grindelwald asked "why?"
Newt replied *I would prefer not to be identified by the squad of goons in the red dragon robes they are some smugglers I had a bad run in with a few weeks before the war, I know they will still hold a grudge about that"
Grindelwald replied "what kind of run in? "Guiding them away before freezing
Newt replied "why did you freeze?I'll tell you about the run in when they aren't in the vicinity of them"
Gellart replied "just saw the auror who beat me when I was captured"
Newt said "if you want to go after him I don't mind, I can go play a round of fools gold again maybe I'll win the niffler they have in that small cage"
Grindelwald said "if you're sure, I don't want you to think I would ditch you for payback"
Newt said "I would not have offered if I didn't mean it, also I know you would not do so"
Grindelwald said *I'll be back in ten to twenty minutes I'll portkey him to a holding cell"
Newt said "take your time Gellert" then Grindelwald follows after the auror, I go try to win the niffler again and succeed on the second try so I put him in my pocket and ward it so he can look out but not excape, I turn to go sit at the table across from it and see Grindelwald smiling and holding a black rose
Grindelwald walked up and said "mission was a success for both of us it seems, I saw this and thought of you liebling"
Newt blushes and replied "well I like it and here I won this as well I noticed that you have a necklace with the symbol so I thought you would like it, I hand over a black thestral leather bracelet with a silver deadly hollows insignia on it"
Grindelwald said "thank you darling I love it and will treasure it always"
Newt blushed harder and said "you're welcome, what do you think I should name the little niffler it's still young"
Grindelwald said "perhaps Goldy or Emy, will you tell me about your run in with the guys from earlier?"
Newt said "I like Goldy or nymph"
Grindelwald said "Goldy definitely unless you want to scream come here nymph when it gets lost"
Newt said "Goldy it is"
Then newt said
*as I said earlier it was a few weeks before the war began and I was rescuing creatures, I got some bad intel I was going in to rescue four unicorn's or so I thought anyway it ended up being a human trafficking ring with wizards witches and No-magi's, I went in and freed as many as I could and some helped others out, they came in saw people out and started attacking so I threw up some shields and distracted them till everyone excaped, I ended up getting knocked out and tortured before I could excape myself, I got out the next day before they did anything to much besides burn me with a branding iron on the middle of my back it scarred over, I just didn't want to cause a scene because they are the type to cast killing curses and not care who they hit"
Grindelwald said "I'm sorry that happened to you liebling, I will be back here in a few minutes I need a restroom"
He walked off in the direction of the bathroom so newt looked around and saw a booth with some odds and ends and buys Goldy a few things to hold him over till he gets home, I give them to Goldy and Goldy took them and then rubbed his head against my hand before tucking them into it's pouch and curling up to sleep purring like a cat
About ten minutes late Grindelwald is back smiling and said I see your new friend is sleepy
Newt replied "yes he probably hasn't been sleeping well since they caged him with fools gold which will distract them so they don't excape"
Grindelwald said "we still have about eight hours before we need to leave what would you like to do next"
Newt said" maybe look around the booths for a bit"
Grindelwald said "I saw a creature care booth on my way back I went the long way"
Newt said "that sounds like fun and I think there is a weapons booth next to it"
Several hours later they had purchased a few things both had a few new weapons and Grindelwald ended up getting a new perch for his eagle to rest on that was for eagles not owls, and parted ways after they had a blast
Newt fell asleep the second his head hit his pillow with a smile, after setting Goldy up a enclosure/habitat
